Just sold a 2011 1.6 Ecoboost titanium X. It was showing its age but overall had a good chassis, steering was well weighted and accurate, mid corner damping was well controlled and the rear suspension movement gave you very good feedback as to the balance and throttle adjustment. No surprise you had no issue threading it down twisty roads quite quickly. Motorway Ride was good and very little cabin noise at speed. Drive it steadily and could achieve 40mpg easily. Bad points: Gearbox could have been a little more crisp. Seats were ok, plenty of adjustment but base could do with a bit more support when you’re 185cm tall. The keyless entry was temperamental and it had a habit of occasionally refusing to respond to the remote locking on the key fob. The engine map/anti stall hung on to Revs between gears which upset how smooth you could make fast up changes on the Manual. Pedal spacing was ok and good for heel and toe down changes etc but pedal box was a little tight, always found my size 10s caused my heel to baulk on the floor a little when trying to get full clutch travel and wearing any form of wider shoes or trainers was a no go. Also found my toes occasionally were up against the steering column spindle on the footwell with the clutch fully depressed.
I bought a 2015 Focus Electric about 4 months ago. I'm 60 years old and have to say that this is one of the coolest cars I have ever owned. It drives like an electric Slot Car and is glued to the road! If I need to pass someone, it seems that I only have to think it and I'm 150 ft. in front of that vehicle. Very happy!
Own a Zetec S 1.5T and so far I can't fault it. Owned a Mk2 Focus ST before this and this new one is a much nicer place to be, comfortable to drive, plenty of grunt and fairly well equipped. Handles like a dream and looks stunning to boot
Not as good as ford make out to be although I may have a slightly heavy right foot. We I got it was roughly 36mpg but it's more like 32 mpg as a daily driver
Mony Torris only reason I refuse to buy a diesel is because of the cost associated with repairs. I believe that as they phase electro/petrol hybrids, diesel will be phased out unless they can absolutely guarantee that it meets it's emissions criteria (Vw and it's diesel gate scandal come to mind )
I own a 2009 Focus Econetic, which is an EXCELLENT car. I am in the fortunate position though where I can treat myself to a newer one so I am opting for the Titanium Navigator from 2015 with about 9k on the clock. When you consider that they are about 22k new, getting a year old one makes sense as they are an absolute BARGAIN. What a fab review by the way, absolutely great so you just got yourself another subscriber!
xshanghu mine has 55,000 miles on it, bought it with 8,000 a year ago and I haven’t had issues. Sometimes it’s jerky but luckily haven’t had to get it fixed.
That rear seat folding system is the best! It means you have good leg support when you use it as a seat and totally flat floor when they are folded. Many cars have really bad non-folding rear seats that are to low to be comfortable and supportive, and when you fold them the floor is anything but flat.
Well I listened to the reviews and thought Wow so bought a 2017 plate 1.0L Titanium during the Pandemic. This is what I found. The car was reasonably priced at £10,000, 32,000 miles visiting dealers and doing test drives was difficult, due to the restrictions. I needed a car as my previous MK2 focus had been written off. The test drive was good and the car picked up well, the privacy tinting sounded good as did the tyre pressure monitoring system. in fact all those little gizmos that come with a new car. However it does take time to get to know a car and change from a previous vehicle can be strange. Considering the Titanium is a higher spec car, mine came without the folding mirrors no Biggy but I would have thought theses would have been standard now. The sensor cluster behind the mirror is quite large and does obscure your vision in my opinion . I've been stopped at traffic lights and not seen them change to green. The tinting is good by day however at night it does limit vision when reversing. It does come with reverse parking sensors so that's good. But I've still managed to reverse into railings because the sensors didn't pick up the obstruction. But ill mark that up to my poor driving. I've looked at fitting a reversing camera, again difficult as the sync 3 system has to be programmed to accept it and there has to be some changes to the wiring loom. A Ford dealer can fit for you at just over £500, so not that cheap an option unless you want a separate screen. Whilst on the subject of cameras, fitting a dash cam also presents problems, due to the sensor cluster on the windscreen the positioning is more to the left than central. Other areas that are annoying are the keyless entry, it can't be turned off. The stop / start also cant be just turned off it has to be done every time you get in the car. Just because a car has a feature it doesn't mean you have to use it every time. The 1,0L engine is economical however it does sound grumpy in the lower gears my previous 1.6 Mk2 sound tinny so again something ti get used to. The Eco boost sounds more like a diesel. It is a nice car but needs more refinement to add accessories you shouldn't have to be reliant on a main dealer and their marked up prices. It is a nice car and lovey to drive but there are the annoying factors and my main bug bear was no spare wheel, jack or towing eye, which have now been purchased. I've had several Fords and found them reliable and kept them around 10 yrs each and wouldn't have changed my MK2 except for the accident not my fault by the way. Will I keep this car as long as the others probably not . To be honest if it wasn't for the pandemic and being restricted in movements, unable to do proper test drives and feeling pressured to have a car for work. I would probably taken much more time looking this is however down to me and I can't blame anyone else. One last note the sync 3 navigation system is slow and could be much better there's no reason Ford cant improve it as it connects to wifi. The voice commands are hit or miss. All in all its a nice car with impressive features on paper that in reality turn out to be just mediocre average. My advice if you have a Mk 2 look after it 😀👍.

This model before the face lift wasn't that good, it was ok handling wise but not as good as the other Focus's, but now it's back to a great handling hatch back

I have a 2015 manual Ford Focus. There is a button next to my shifter marked with an A and an arrow around it, what is this feature called? I know it shuts ooff my engine when im in idle
+Jordan jmac It's a start-stop system. As you've already mentioned, it shuts your engine off when your car comes to a stop. If you don't want it to do that, just press the button and it turns the feature off.

The rear seats in the focus are not fiddly at all , takes less than 10 seconds to fold them down. I owned a 99 focus and now I got an 06 both great cars .

My Brother in law has a Focus and here in Australia and as well as the rest of the world the Auto gearbox has major faults since 2012 and ford have no fix for this. There is a legal class action about to happen which could cost Ford near 2 billion dollars in damages. When you take it back they just re flash the computer and send you on your way with the auto still shuddering.Shame as it looks good and buying one you are just buying BIG trouble with the auto
I have the 2015 Ford Focus Hatchback 2.0 litre Sport in Ivory, I am Impressed with its handling and response to brakes and gas pedal. Just everything about it is impressive. A reliable car :) Although the one you showed in this video is really different from the ordinary 2015 one I had seen in the showroom.. Interior and exterior.. I don't know if its the way they produce it in different countries? I also should note that I requested for a fully loaded version(Everything extra included) Like the sony system..which I know that this car does not have, but I do notice the difference in screen size. The one you shown in this video is 3x bigger compared to the one on my car plus yours is touch with GPS, mine isn't and does not come with GPS. Not like I needed it or anything. Just trying to find answers :P
+zofiegingetower Your Focus probably has the base 4.2 inch Sync system. As you've mentioned, it's not a touch screen and there's no GPS functionality within it. The one in this video has the MyFordTouch system (replaced with Sync 3 in 2016).
Hey be honest don't lie people with that shit you know that that car has a lot transmission issue that need to be on service every 20, 000 miles or less the grinding sound on the transmission scare like shit, there is a complain on youtube how the fucking car goes crazy in the middle of the freeway with a baby inside the mom and the dad of the child was almost crying fucking lies selling a piece of crap to people I have one and I have to sell it losing money now I have a honda totally different experience customer care because to release a car knowing all that kind of problems to people is the most savage thing that a car company ever made.
I couldn't even choose my own car out of high school. If I would've gotten my license before I was 18 it would've increased my chances of playing on the football field. All people ever did was make fun of me. I was so made fun of. Why did all my friends abandon me? Go ditch that special ed boy. I hate comparisons. The whole price format is outrageous. If it wasn't for people I wouldn't even need a car. People with similar sat marks better not drive the same car as me. Society is overly abusive towards everyone. There is very little power to the people nowadays. You know what should be your power. You being able to do jobs. But no. Everything has to be top secret.

Well I listened to the reviews and thought Wow so bought a 2017 plate 1.0L Titanium during the Pandemic. This is what I found.

@@danielleroux6490 _ have already contact ford telling them of their big mistake. Ford reply back saying they hope to win back my choice in buying ford cars in the future...lol
@@orangeguy3314 That's great that you told them! Let's hope if we all do our part, they will return the Focus or other fun-to-drive hatches with manual transmission options to our shores. Their current lineup is dismal.
The automatic transmission is a death trap waiting to happen
The auto issues only affected petrol models, ford since revised the box in 2016
My Brother in law has a Focus and here in Australia and as well as the rest of the world the Auto gearbox has major faults since 2012 and ford have no fix for this.
The one in this video has the MyFordTouch system (replaced with Sync 3 in 2016).
these cars have really bad transmission problems, if you have the dual clutch trans. you could not give me an automatic trans focus. (2012+)
I like 2015 Ford Focus review - What Car?
It looks. What A Great Idea. improve list 11
VW is in no way better, especialy on suspension!!!
Why cant here in PR sell cars which such high MPG
+XavThaBass! The British gallon is bigger than the US gallon, which is why it seems like British cars have higher mpgs.
This is a mind fuck. I CAN'T STOP
I deleted Amazon app. Just after adds.
Don't buy an ecoboost. Numerous design flaws. Search Facebook ford ecoboost nightmare to find out more.
I can’t thank you enough for leaving this comment. I have just financed a 1.0 EcoBoost and will cancel it today as a result of what I’ve read on there
channel should be renamed what AD ? :P
Awsome
In which universe is this a focus? He loose all of his characteristics!
God awful design
I own a titanium navigator. shite car. Bloody crappie senor front and rear (I can drive a car). and Itself parks it's self never use it. coz I do a lot of miles got a rubbish diesel car. best thing about car. sunglasses holder
The mother of all hatchbacks is the VW Golf Mk7 . This Ford is such an ugly car
I'll bet the VW breaks down before the ford
Nah. The golf is too dull
My dad got that as a company car but he got the 1.5 litre Turbocharged
