With this Hardtail eMTB, Orbea have now really nailed down the lightweight category. It was an absolute blast to ride. Don't let the 60Nm's of torque fool you, the Urrun has PLENTY of power. Since it only weighs in around 41-42lbs, it doesn't require the extra torque like other 55lb "full power" eMTBs need. As far as range goes, the 540Wh battery paired with the RS motor can give you similar range to larger battery "full power" eMTBs. Urrun literally translates to "far" in Basque! Overall, the Urrun was a huge win in my book...especially at the price!
I love the Orbea brand. The fact that it's a Co-Op / employee run/owned is awesome and they always seem to bring consistent results in the quality category. Only thing I would add to this bike is a dropper seat post. Great review!
Great info Austen! With less weight on the whole bike, there's truly no need for the +75Nm ebikes. Add some carbon wheels and handlebar and the Orbea Urrun will slide under 40lbs.
the perfect bike for those who need to take some road to get to the mountain, i wonder if vibrations could be and issue for the electrical part or if the weight could end up killing the frame
Great bike but i have gut feeling that Mondraker can get things even lighter and more streamlinedi hope they can use Fazua motors even that its now owned by Porshe ,new Focus JAM is using Fazua so its possible to source these motors out AND they are all located in EU so fingers crossed :) Nice vid tnx for sharing!
Nice. But what is the typical(cost) maintenance of the motor? What does the warranty cover & what can void the warranty of such a costly bike. I know it's TH-cam, and thus anything under $5 grand, is too cheap, however for many a few hundred, is a-lot for a bike. And how does the motor compare to say a full-power Bosch or Shimano EP6? Ya made a great positive commercial for Orbea. But ya give us just no honesty.

Hooray a review in English
Great bike. I'd like to see a more trail focused bike similar to the Laufey.

What is the road speed like with the small crank sprocket? Great review.
I want to try this one out!
