Better awareness usually means a higher overall rating. Try to look for players with the most A-B ratings you can find, especially in the categories you’re looking for. For instance if you need an off ball linebacker, look for A-B man or zone coverage, but if you need a pass rusher look for A-B finesse or power moves. Check their physicals to make sure they have decent athleticism, and once you’ve found someone worth drafting, pray they have a dev trait lol.

Can the lower ranked guy turn out to be really good?

I found a strong arm guy with great-elite throw power, great-elite strength, and to top it off solid-good speed and decent -solid acceleration. So throwing power with bonus speed. Scouting report says fast shotput style three-quarters motion. But then I look at core attributes and awareness is C, deep, medium, short accuracy all C. Would the decent physicals and scouting overcome the subpar accuracy and awareness?
I just looked it up, and it looks like the description of the pass type is a Traditional 2 style, which is the second fastest release after Slinger 1. So, I'm in a conundrum here. Physicals and throwing style all seem A-B, but all attributes are at a C. I think he may end up in the low 70s OVR. Seems like he could be a decent sleeper, but not worth a first round. It's sad, earlier on in the year I was excited about this guy, but the more info I reveal throughout the season, the more lower ranked attributes I uncover.
Quick question. If I can add 3-4 attribute points to a X factor rookie QB (D. Ridder for the Falcons), what would you add it io after every game to ultimately get hot route master? He’s 71 overall so I got a long way to go lol.

I find drafting qbs is useless. Drafting dominant edges and oline is more value because if you draft a qb with paranoid sense of pressure you’re screwed.
@@T4GSports yea but ideal is by far the best. If you get trigger happy or oblivious it’s still a gamble. I drafted a qb mid 1st ended up being ss dev, 99 by year 3 and x factor but, Paranoid trait sucked ASS, 4500 yds 30tds 20 ints. Had to trade him because that 99 xfactor he was gonna want mahomes money.
What i do is look at traits more positive the better…. Then i look at combine most likely if they are all top 10 they are “GENERATIONAL TALENT” and xfactor and the ratings nothing below C’s def xfactor
Choose "Edit Draft Class", Choose Overall rating, click on player, look at development, exit player, move on to the next. That is the easiest way to discover who to draft. If someone has X-factor, they will be that by season 2. Technically, its cheating by finding talent this way but I play alone in Franchise mode and scouting sucks in my opinion.

Is it possible to draft x-factor oline? I still find it crazy that oline is the one area that doesn't go up dev traits.......
We agree with you so much on that. Madden doesn't allow lineman to get X-factors.

No unless you never plan on starting him. Or unless you user play with him.
