How soon does your vision become 20/20? What shocks me is that you are awake for the procedure. I would need to be knocked out! Especially after you talked about the "smells". I'm very interested in Lasik. What makes a good candidate for the procedure? Recovery time? How would you rate the pain after the procedure?
I just did this 3 days ago i was exactly like you my legs were shaking like hell but it wasn't that bad the first day was hard but it's okay now, actually worth it so much
I had lasek last year in Germany. Now im back to the state. The US doctor said my vision are 20/25. He said awesome. But after lasek during the day, i have to use sunglasses when im outside .
Is there a chance your eyesight can get worse so say in a year's time you get a bit more short sighted etc? Or does the procedure prevent you getting short or long sighted for x amount of years? I don't see the benefit of getting it done if there is a chance over time my eyesight gets worse again and I need glasses again lol
Hello! Your results will last as long as your prescription is stable, as the changes made to your eye in laser eye surgery are permanent. We will only recommend people for treatment who have had a stable prescription for at least a year, because we want our patients to be happy with long-lasting results. If you regularly need new glasses as your prescription keeps changing, we'd suggest waiting until it stabilises before coming in for treatment.
How would you rate the pain out of 10 in the first week of recovery?
Thanks for sharing your experience. How long did the pain last? Do you have any side effects? Would you recommend doing laser eye surgery?

I’m considering LASEK over LASIK due to it having less complications, but super scared of risks 😅
Check with the place you are considering having it done. Sometimes you might not have both options available.
Where's the next one?
