A Day Trip to Veal Pouch, Kampot
We spent our whole Sunday (June 09, 2024) at Veal Pouch, Kampot.
We bought bus tickets for 3 seats with Ekareach Express for $24 for going tickets and $14.4 for return tickets (40% off). We left Phnom Penh at 07:30, and we arrived Kampot at 10:30.
We spent $5.87 on 4 breads and two big bottles of drinking water for our breakfast along the way. And when we arrived Kampot province, we went for coffee at the nearby bus stop called Neavea Coffee & Lounge. We spent $4 for two coffee, and get another one for free there. Great offer for 3 of us! 🤣😆 we lingered at there for an hour! 😵
We left the coffee shop at 11:40 to rent bikes to ride to Veal Pouch waterfall. The rental fee was $6 per motorbike at Romantic 169 Tours. Unfortunately, we all forgot our ID card at Phnom Penh, so they required us to deposit $300 per motorbike. And we took two! 😮‍💨 We refilled gasoline for that two vehicles for $4.40 before we headed to our destination. 🏍️ 💨
Veal Pouch waterfall was not that far. It was around 8km or 20 minutes away from Durian Roundabout.
We arrived Veal Pouch at 12:30! We went hiking a bit, before we had lunch at Green Valley Veal Pouch which the entry ticket is $1 per person, yet we could use it to buy food inside. Our lunch was $24. 🫣
We left Veal Pouch at 15:40 and arrived Kampong Bay Bridge at 16:00. We had two more hours before our bus departed. And our gasoline is still full, so we decided to drive around the city till departure time. 😎
In total, we spent $92.29 or $31 each for this whole trip!👌😂
