    That day I woke up and couldnt believe what I had read on my phone. I then turned ESPN on and I sat on my bed in shock. We were moving out of our house so we had nothing but the TV on floor. It was like a nightmare. I have Indians season tickets so I got to the ballpark as fast as I could because thats the only thing that could calm me down. Then months later Yordano and Andy pass away.
    Then a month after that my hockey friend Alec Kornet passed away. Its been tough. Just last October my teacher died then my grandpa this past February. I miss them so much. Just wish this wasn't such a cruel world. Condolences to anyone else who has lost a loved one. Just do nice things for people. You never know what they are going through.

    damn shame that Fernandez died. He had a bright future and the saddest part was that his girlfriend was pregnant. I know it is revealed that he used cocaine and alcohol, but it doesn't make his death any sadder

    • @davidbroughall3782
      @davidbroughall3782 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. the saddest part is that he killed two other people when he crashed his boat while he was drunk and high on cocaine. Hopefully she can find a more stable individual to help her raise her child.

    • @fluffynoses
      @fluffynoses 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      easy to throw stones from your high and mighty position i'm sure. am I supporting his drug and alcohol use, of course not. was it a very stupid and reckless decision? Definitely. It doesn't change the fact unfortunately that this young woman has to raise this child on her own now
      "Hopefully she can find a more stable individual" you make that sound so easy...but then again you are commenting on TH-cam, and I'm sure you have all the facts of life

    • @davidbroughall3782
      @davidbroughall3782 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      As are you commenting on TH-cam. You call me high and mighty, but I'm sure there are many people who feel the same way, many people who have managed to get through their lives with crashing boats and killing people. And certainly some who have lost loved ones to a drunk driver/boater. They would be well within their rights to never forgive the person responsible. I certainly wouldn't blame them for holding that resentment in their hearts.
      No doubt you would be just as forgiving if he had killed one of your loved ones. Why would you overlook such destructive behavior? Just because he was a star athlete?

    • @fluffynoses
      @fluffynoses 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      When did i say i was overlooking his behavior? I said his death was sad and that it is sad that his girlfriend now has to raise this child on his own, but I'm not excusing what he did. There's a fine line between wasting time condemning the dead and "overlooking" bad behavior. You can condemn him all you want for drug use, fine by me. I don't care. I'll choose instead to focus on the grieving girlfriend and her unborn child. And you're right, I am also commenting on TH-cam, but I'm not the one going on a morality holier-than-thou crusade...which it seems like you're leading the charge! Congrats i hope it helps you sleep at night

    • @davidbroughall3782
      @davidbroughall3782 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You seem less upset about his destructive actions than you are about my condemnation of them. You also seem quite willing to absolve Fernandez simply because he died. I'm not condemning his drug use. I'm condemning him for the fact that his reckless actions KILLED TWO OTHER PEOPLE.
      You talk like the only sad thing is the pregnant girlfriend he left behind, and yes that is a tragedy, but while you're grieving for the girlfriend, focus some of your grief on the loved ones of those he killed. Maybe there was another pregnant wife/girlfriend among them. We'll never know that though because his victims weren't star athletes.
