I was really hoping to see him flail at the Roxas boss fight with Sora. That got me a Game Over several times even though I have been the game on Critical Mode with the Zero EXP turned off.

They needed to Roxas to join with Sora because of his memories, not because they were separated. Roxas has a link with Sora, as he begins to absorb Sora's memories as Naminé restores them and falls into a coma immediately after Sora is put to sleep.
And hearts are connected as shown in dream drop distance. Even if you never met the individual, if you met a version of the person in another world you can feel things you shouldn't. Like with Tron in DDD. Don't think K3 won't bring this up.

So for the mickey rescues since I needed to know: Mickey can only appear in certain fights: Shan Yu, Thresholder, Dark Thorn, Cerberus, Hydra, Volcano and Blizzard Lord, Storm Rider, Xaldin, Grim Reaper 1 and Armor Xemnas 1. Mickey has a 100% to appear the first time you die in one of those fights but after the first time the chance decrease each time.

How many people knew this ?but you are allowed to lose to Seifer and Setzer and the game keeps going. You can also collect all the tickets for the train by yourself in collect 10 ability points
Minako Hiashi Your prize outcome depends on if you beat setzer or not. If you win you will get the championship belt which increases your defence gives you resistances to all elements except dark. If you lose you get a ribbon which just increases your defence

Callum Norris I think you get some kinda of coin thing if you lose against him which just boosts defense a little and I'm prettu sure you only get two ap for getting over the amount of munny for the tickets.
Edit: I went to double check and you get a medal for losing to Setzer that gives you +1 strength
It's also apparently better if you lose cuz the reward for winning sucks

It really depends on your build. For speed runs though, losing is best as the reward gives you more strength.

I remember playing it while grounded for a summer. Playing on the hardest difficulty almost broke me mentally lol especially the final boss(es).
So the fact you got as far as you did while only being level 1 was impressive as hell lol even though it was an accident

As mentioned near the very end of the game by DiZ aka Bandage Man, it turns out the virtual people begun to act stray of their programming due to be made from data gathered from the real versions hearts, and through that develop hearts of their own... somehow. Hearts in Kingdom Hearts have a tendency to just manifest in stuff which contains something that resembles emotions, such as the virtual people and Nobodies.
16:43 He is fine because he has his memories there. The whole "Sora can't wake up" was because some of Sora's real memories went to Roxas when Namine messed with his mind during CoM. And he could technically wake up as DiZ mentions in Days (aka the Roxas game), but Namine wouldn't risk it, because the memories Roxas held could be some of the most important ones.
17:11 Short answer: Sora's heart is OPAF. Long answer: Due to the connections Roxas had with the virtual versions of the gang (and a single chance encounter with the real ones in Days) those connections bled into Sora, and because how strong Sora's heart act upon such connections, it automatically connected with the real versions due to how similar they are. That is why Hayner feels like he have met Sora before when he haven't.
