KTM has proven itself a quite a lot of times. No bike could beat the KTM’s pickup and acceleration in its segment. Moreover, KTM has a rev limited of about 9000 due to which it cannot go faster. If you install powertronics ECU, Duke 390 hits 192kmph with 53.5 BHP which in untouchable
KTM really has to work on the engine refinement and endurance. Honda is the king in refinement, next is yamaha,suzuki, TVS and then Bajaj. The initial pickup is good but it does not last longer, like after 40 mins in highway. Engine heats up like gas stove. Bajaj is more refined then KTM. In D250/400, NS 200, RS 200, P220 the engine heat is normal and managable in highway. KTM engines are less smooth and reliable than all the bikes in india. But people buy KTM bikes for looks, pickup and features.
