Hart Parr 30-60 Cold start and Dyno run

  • In this video we Start up the 30-60 Hart Parr. Known as one of the first gas tractors that paved the way for new technology and future tractors. We did a cold start then ran it on the Dyno/Prony brake. It wasn't running quite right at first but some tuning had it running better and better. These antique tractors need a little finessing when they are cold. I believe it was also the first start of the year. Enjoy :)

    I see the tractor has 2 bull gears. Does it differential or was the rear axle solid. Just curious. Beautiful piece of history. I bet it gives heart palpitations on every hit. LOL

      The tractor actually only has one bull gear which is also the differential on the flywheel side, the large gear on the pulley side is the intermediate gear it is driven by the crank then the intermediate which is on a shaft that goes to the other side and drives the bull gear/differential. Hope that helps

    I've been wonderin', How much does a tractor like that go for on average? Always like these but I figure these costs a pretty penny to own.
