    That final one, Carthage, was just awful. Those poor children. I don't care how primitive you are, how can it seem justified to burn your own child? When you have a child of your own, you hate such people with a ferocity unknown to you prior.

    Whenever I hear of the Cave of Crystal Sepucha I think of the scenes in The Wire whenever the characters take someone to that alley. The alley would like a tunnel to a cave. Whenever they found the body it would be in a nearby building. Bound and mostly with a bullet in their heads.

    "After all, why would you cremate animals and bury them in a child's graveyard?"
    My dog died last November, i had him cremated and intend to have his ash jar buried with me when i die one day. I'm not sure what happens after death, but i hope that makes it more likely we will be together again in whatever comes after life ends.
    Maybe they had a similar ritual? Being buried with their cremated pets to extend their companionship into the afterlife? Just throwing out an idea, what do you think?

    It's thought that the holes in the heads of the peruvian mummies were from a ritualistic surgery where they voluntarily (or otherwise) have a hole cut in their skull, it's proposed they believed it made them closer to the gods and enabled their minds the work better - can you imagine.

  • @joshr8896
    @joshr8896 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    In the first one with the bodies who have trama to the head. The little hole was and still is a long practice of taking out a circle of skull out to release pressure in the brain beleving to cure headaches all the way to mentally I'll reasons. The one picture he shows is in fact one of these cases.

    The elongated skulls that were found,where does the idea come from that they could be "manipulated" into an elongated conical shape?,they were a distinct species,well that's what I believe.The methods of supposedly encouraging the skull to assume such a shape make no sense whatsoever.

    • @memesamurai1240
      @memesamurai1240 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When a baby is born there skull isn't made out of full bone. It's mostly soft tissue so manipulating them through a difficult process can make the head take shapes.

    Child sacrifices, animal sacrifices are true and they do it for good luck or fulfilment of some past wishes as a thanksgiving to Gods and showing their loyalty. Human and animal sacrifices remains from time immemorial in almost every religion. Till now also it's happening. Though human sacrifices are done in a hidden manner, animals are openly sacrificed
