  • This is just a very quick start up guidance as requested by Jim Benny.
    Good luck Jim!

The only goal here is to have fun with music and sounds, no limits or expectations.
This is my place for my old and new original music and videos.
All music conceived and played here will primarily be with my Aeros Loop Studio, Beat Buddy drum machine, Roland VS 880 Xpanded for mixing into the looper and vocal effects and Alesis SR 16 drum machine and a bucket load of guitar pedals.
A true mix of old and new technology, or what the kids would call retro.
But, there will also be live acoustic recordings and who knows what else!
I also record the finished, polished songs with Cakewalk.

Cool Vid , I got my VS880 brand new in the box in 1998 , it was kind of a replacement for my Tascam 4 Trk Cassette Recorder which had the most Beautiful warm playback sound when used properly. I thought it was good just hearing the rumours about these Roland's until we got it out the box and put it through its paces, and to me it still is good.

Yeah still sounds great to me, I use it on my livestreams. Been using it since 1997. I had a Yamaha Mt 120 4 track before the VS, so it was a nice leap.
Thanks for the comment, I've been wondering if this video was too simple as I get views but not many comments. But the beauty of the VS is it's simplicity.
I hope to upload the full manual as a video soon.
Cheers for stopping by and keep having fun!🍻

Hi is it possible to connect 5 to 8 inputs (more than 4) simultaneously, and use these only as a mixer (without recording). If yes, how do you control gain of inputs 5-8 ?

Hi, not that I know of. I only have control of four inputs. On the next model there was eight inputs.

Thanks for taking the time to do that for me. I’ll give it a whirl at my first opportunity. 👍
I’m looking forward to your next audio/video production 😎

No worries. I tried making the video a few times and felt like I was overcomplicating it. It really is an easy machine to use once you start. Hit me up if you come across any problems once you start.
I have a couple of new music vids lined up, glad you enjoy them. Cheers Jim🍻
