Tiesto was never a techno dj; he tried to hustle his way in I love techno (or another massive techno brand in the early 00’s but they told him to fuck off, he was always a shit trance dj who deserted the scene for mega money in Las Vegas

Sorry but I have to say this, I've listened to all the recorded sets from CN 2023 and noticed the same issues all around: 1. there's an obvious monitoring problem, anyone who knows mixing probably realizes that DJs are not hearing monitors properly due to a sound delay, resulting in transitions not being as precise as they would otherwise be. Such a bummer considering those are Void monitors; 2. such a poor recording quality that most of those fabulous records sound like 128kbps mp3 or distorting like a bad tape deck recordings. Also, most of his set Marco Bailey was really struggling with needle skipping due to either spent needles or unresolved bass vibration problems on the desk, or both combined, it was very clear he was trying everything to deal with it. These are really small, silly issues that could have been detected on the soundcheck and avoided very easily, I mean it was 2023 ffs! Seems like the festival had miles better sound engineering crew at the 2022 edition. On the other hand, all DJs really smashed their sets
Mediocre set, when she play more than 6 hours with vinyl i'll give her my respect. Sven Väth and Marusha are the best DJs of the history and that's it.
