@@spidlenexoragreed, his entire harem had like 0 point in the story and they all were annoying, especially since they’re like 12 with the exception of Tijuana (which makes it even weirder）, i read the manga after watching the anime and its somewhat better

Cain got literally everything given to him so fast that the serie was disappointing.
Don't think it was handed to him that fast, they just ignored his work with time jumps. Here, they trained him for 3 years, which consisted of part of this episode him showing them what he can do then next episode it was 3 years later and he was done training. Or when he went to the other world with the other God and fought in the forest for 5 years. They showed like 1 scene of him fighting then cut to 4 years later and he's done, immediately started training with the other guy and yet again jumped ahead 1 year. Would have been better if we saw him actually training and less him getting yelled at by the king, because there was more of that than him training.
@@tonyblake7569problem with most of the fantasy/isekai genre (not specifically this one) is even if the mc did have to train to become super op, it almost always happens offscreen. So it feels exactly the same as if it these abilities were just handed to the mc.
Which reminds me of a manga I once read. The mc starts as the weakest swordsman but some strange old man offers him a button. If he presses it, he’s send to an alternate world where he doesn’t age and is stuck there for 100 million years. When the time passes, he’s returned back to the moment he pushed the button as if no time had passed.
The mc pushes the button, does 100 million years of almost entirely offscreen training, returns, then pushes the button again and repeats (until the button breaks). On paper, the mc spent several hundred million (possibly billions of) years training. But it happens almost entirely offscreen all happening in the middle of chapter 1.
That all being said, while the manga for this anime (haven’t seen the anime) definitely touched several fantasy/isekai tropes, I still enjoyed it.
Yeah the "tropes" are really strong with this series and I don't think an anime hitting the usually ho-hum tropes are exactly a bad thing but at some point, I think one just gets tired of it. Like "oh wow he turns out to be an expert swordsman, oh wow all the girls fawn all over him, what a surprise I did not see that coming...".
@@tonyblake7569the anime basically skipped the training period and the fact that the gods told him his deadline before fighting something so strong that what he got is not even enough tbh. Iirc Cain was more focused on his deadline on killing Arlong than he was adapting to society.
@@Death2all546 I think a lot of this contributes to the fact they have 12 episodes to tell a story, Dragon ball could dedicated entire seasons worth of episodes to training because it was green lit for 153 episodes, most of these companies know they have 12 episodes, and that's all they are ever going to get so they need to get most of the best parts into it so people will go buy the manga. In the end anime will always just be a loss leader in order to sell manga and merch.
