2k19 I had a 6'8" Rim Protector. Even though he had like a 53 three point rating he could shoot greens from the corner if hot, and I typically outrebounded bigs. Definitely a team player build.
I have a mid-range slasher sg and I never see anyone in park with it, I get 99 speed & acceleration at 99 and contact dunks, I have a 95 ball handle and I have a high 3 ball (78)

I have a SF Finisher, and personally I rarely see it and it’s one of the best builds I’ve used. I have a 96 PlayShot, 94 Shooting Glass Lock so I have experience with the “comp” builds, but nothing can compare to my finisher. It’s dominates the paint offensively and defensively. The only “flaw” is shooting, but when you play with two shooting guards it easy dubs all day
I think that your other version of the build is deadly. Even though it doesn’t have many defensive badges you can still play amazing d dense. That combines with its lots of shooting badges and high 3 point shot its over

I ran an offensive threat SG similar to your Kobe build but with less playmaking and more defending and brought it to 99 overall. A nice build to run but I then went with this and although I'm only 87 rated I see your point, it's the best build as you get contact dunks all awhile having good handles! For the shooting I agree with you, its all about the badges and having a jump shot you trust and the defense is still decent, I went with a 55 block and 65 interior d and rim protector as the only badge. It helps getting blocks easier and I tried the playmaking shot creator as well but the facilitating finisher is hands down the must fun build to play with

Got ur build and it’s helped me get to a 84% in park, 91% in rec, and 77% in ProAm. Love running it at point with the 5 out offence, because either they put a guard on me and I bully it, or they put a lock and we abuse with whoever has the guard in the pick and roll
I have a 6’7 play lock so on offense i give HOF floor general while also knocking down corner 3s with a 65 3pt and defend they best guard on defense. Feel like it’s underrated. Not sure how many people made it.

I felt that when you said people judge the build not the person who controls it. People judge my slashing playmaker and say I can’t shoot but I’m greening everything from mid range and 3 pt. I can drive my defense is damn near a 2 way build. Definitely the truth when you said that joe 💪🏾
My 6 ft 8 2-way Finisher is the best big man build in my opinion. It can guard all positions, it gets contact dunk, and it can shoot decently with 4 shooting badges. It’s much better than the traditional bigs because it gets better physicals and can play better “help” defence
Playmaking Five is a slept on build it can literally do everything wish I made him faster but still too fast for a center. Can’t wait to hit legend on him. I only get 40 badges with it but I still manage to get Dubs
I have a playmaking 5 but it’s really a do it all build, it has a 70 something 3, it’s good in the post, it can throw dimes, it can catch ankles, but it’s very weak early on because you aren’t good enough in anything. But when it gets leveled up it is the perfect comp build
Kefentse Perry I’m 6”9 for my build great interior defense as long as you aren’t jumpy, I play well on defense cuz these centers are too predictable, if it’s a paint beast then u getting babied I’m not sure the wingspan but I put my wingspan up to where it gets just -1 on the three ball
I feel like the 2 way sharpshooter is a pretty slept on build ... You can shoot ... You get a good number of defensive upgrades ... You get about 9 playmaking badges ... Also u get 78 driving dunk with 3 finishing badges ... And alot of shooting badges
I built one and I LOVE him. Catching bodies, firing from deep, breaking ankles, and he can play a little D. I'm usually the off ball defender so it helps a lot when you know where you'll be. I get plenty of swipes in the lanes and can get up to block a few shots here and there. I live mine. And if I can manage to make it to legend? The dude will be a problem

Dre Brown yea you can guard small perimeter guards but guarding hop steps is dead without intimidator. That’s why he runs with locks. I gotta have a build that can guard all cheese. I don’t like relying on teammates
@@TheDriizYForever Well, it's not all Intimidator that stops that. You really need a combination of badges and of course, you need to determine which way the opponent will hop. Now, even I have HOF Intimidator and I still have a few moments where the hop step gets past me. Happens to everyone. But more often than not, with good position, and I can't stress enough not to jump on the hop step. If you jump, it's game over. But if you are in good position while not jumping, you'll stay in front of him 80% of the time. Then he usually tries to either put it on top of me. Obviously HOF Intimidator, you ain't gonna make that over me. The other option is to pass out but everyone is around so it usually gets picked off.
A sharpshooting facilitator. I love it so much. I shoot lights out with all those shooting upgrades and 99 shooting. And it’s an 84 ball handle with 90-92 speed depending on your height at pg. and you can get 9 defense upgrades
A 6’7 or 6’8 point forward is good as well. 6’7 has the better stats of course, but 6’’8 isn’t bad either. It’s the pure playmaking pie chart and if you want it to say “point forward” your going to have to sacrifice some finishing in order to do it. Mine has 4 finishing 15 shooting 22 playmaking 8 Def/Reb badges
Caleb Ward got the same thing, best SG build in the game to me, can shoot crazy, contact dunks consistently, defense godly, fast asf and if you got the right moves dribbling isn’t even a problem
I have a 2-way sharpshooter, its really good. You get 80 dunk rating at 97 and I think 80 ball handling at 99, and obviously it can shoot and play defense very good, but I rarely see anybody else using it. It can literally do everything, run point, guard their point, it rebounds pretty good, and hit clutch shots, I dont know why no one else is using it.
I think an underrated build is a 6’6 red/blue pie chart PG. With this build you can still get over 70 ball control and if you’re a legend with this build made correctly it’s godly. I made the build with absolutely no shooting and if I run with locks who can shoot too it’s game over cause all I have to really do is hesi, run to the paint and depending on how the defender is set up I can easily get the contact dunk or hop step. With this build I can easily carry the offense cause I picked slashing takeover as well, so I get even more contact dunks and it’s even harder to guard me. Also if you’re running with a 2 way slashing playmaker who can sit corner and hit shots you’re golden cause they can throw hof floor general on. So in reality when you have takeover with this build playing with a 2 way slashing play and a rebounding wing etc you’ll have over 86 ball control,94+ dunking and be able to completely take the opponents PG out the game since you will still have over 20 defensive badges. But this build is completely based on if you have the correct team around you. This honestly even works with a lot of other builds you just need people who can make a couple of wide open 3s or at least be smart enough to cut/throw you a lob when needed. Running this as your actual PG is OP because so many people picked the yellow/green pie chart and at the most are around 90 speed which gets eaten up by a big lockdown like this. My builds physicals are 90 vert, 87 speed,84 acceleration and 87 strength at the PG. if you actually read all this lemme know cause this build is crazy op and fun af to play with at the park if you know how to cheese this year lol

2-way finisher 6'9, 259lb, 1 tick down from max wingspan. i got 14f 1s 6p 30d. this build is insane for easy mismatches ez boards. i think if u could add a 3pt shot it would be cheesey.
I have seen only 1-3 “sharpshooter” build all year really and I feel maybe not dominant but i love it and it works on 3s like 6’9 sf sharp 30 shooting badges
@@JC4.80 All shooting chart but if you fine with having 84 3s without moving the wingspan you will be fine also i made mine 7'1 so u can go lower height and get more shooting attributes, badges are not that impressive tbh but it is fitting to my playstyle 6 finishing 23 shooting 3 playmaking and 6 defensive You can get a build with way more badges i just liked how i played with the build, 1-Badges Gold dropsteper and backdown punisher Gold my post game inside decent. 2- hof Quick Drawn, Hof Range extender, Hof Green machine, Hof catch and shot, hof deadeye and gold deepfades. 3-Post spin gold. 4-Intimidator Gold and Gold Rim protector. If you know how to play big you wont have a problem without rebound chaser i was snaging over glass locks with my slasher, interceptor works rarely same with pickpocket, if you go below 7 foot chase down artist is op this year.
I'd say personallyy favorite build is my paint defender at the center. It's a shooting and finishing pie chart, speed/strength. It has 99 strength, 70 3pt, 80 interior defense, and 92 standing dunk. Very cheesy for me and doesn't lack in anything

My scoring machine bullies guards, contacts dunks and a good three point shooting ability. Mix that with maxed out post scoring and he’s really tough to guard, like a Kobe Bryant/Dwayne wade build.
I know it’s used quite a bit but my slashing playmaker (full playmaking build) is highly effective. I have 60 badge upgrades and it kills Rec and park. It seems like no one uses the playmaking chart rather then play/ slash pie chart.

I have 3 builds. And my 3rd build is a 6’5 2-way 3pt Facilitator sg 6’5. Build is super underrated, I can run the 1,2, or the 3. 80 3pt and mid. Inside is decent 70s (for dunk and layup, dunks higher. All defensive stats (80+) defensive rebound is a 85 and can snag over big men even without rebound chaser. 75 ball handle good enough to iso with (all at 95 overall so add +5 to all that for legend). Badge upgrades are 4(finishing), 17 (shooting), 10 (Playmaking), 18 (defense)
Multi-Position Defender is a slept on build. It’s probably the best lockdown build in the game. You can be big man or the wing player plus guard the entire court. It’s not a shooter by any means but it shuts down any build on the game without problem. 2way finisher is the same just with more shooting upgrades and finishing badges. MPD is exactly what it says tho. You locking anybody down.
Post scoring Sharpshooting Small Forward max height able to grab boards create own shot dunk finish really well at the rim can hit deep threes and can defend with the length
Joe, I watch/play a lot of comp pro-am. After the BTB patch, quite a few pg's use the same pie chart at the 1 and run a form of 5-out, or with a pop center. Difference is it's obviously shorter and as a 6'5 pg it's just called a slashing playmaker. But still, same build basically, it's becoming more meta. Quite a few players running Swag's build from the corner in pro-am at 6'9.

The reason why nobody wants to make these unique or unpopular builds is for 2 reasons. 1: the person might want to make a build from a certain yter and try to play like them and most popular yters (with the exception of joe) have these “meta” builds. 2: Most people in the community will flock to what is easiest to win in the game. That’s why there are so many play locks and all lock lineups and because those are the best builds in the game, almost every player in the community has a lock of some sort
I’m a comp player and if other comp players say “ohh that builds sh*t because it has a 65 3 ball.” My 2 way slashing playmaker has a 63 3 ball and I green consistently. And my paint beast has a 47 three ball and I can hit from the corner.
People are always riding the wave. As long as you kno how to use your build, the strengths, and the weaknesses you can dominate with any build. The rare builds is hard to guard cuz it's rare, no one has is, and you wouldn't kno how to play it cuz it's not common. Me personally I dont ride the wave and like to go with the rare builds. Play glass at 99.9 gets contact dunks has a 71 3 ball, can speedboost in takeover and has great defensive and rebounding stats

I built one and I LOVE him. Catching bodies, firing from deep, breaking ankles, and he can play a little D. I'm usually the off ball defender so it helps a lot when you know where you'll be. I get plenty of swipes in the lanes and can get up to block a few shots here and there. I live mine. And if I can manage to make it to legend? The dude will be a problem

Dre Brown yea you can guard small perimeter guards but guarding hop steps is dead without intimidator. That’s why he runs with locks. I gotta have a build that can guard all cheese. I don’t like relying on teammates
@@TheDriizYForever Well, it's not all Intimidator that stops that. You really need a combination of badges and of course, you need to determine which way the opponent will hop. Now, even I have HOF Intimidator and I still have a few moments where the hop step gets past me. Happens to everyone. But more often than not, with good position, and I can't stress enough not to jump on the hop step. If you jump, it's game over. But if you are in good position while not jumping, you'll stay in front of him 80% of the time. Then he usually tries to either put it on top of me. Obviously HOF Intimidator, you ain't gonna make that over me. The other option is to pass out but everyone is around so it usually gets picked off.
A sharpshooting facilitator. I love it so much. I shoot lights out with all those shooting upgrades and 99 shooting. And it’s an 84 ball handle with 90-92 speed depending on your height at pg. and you can get 9 defense upgrades

A 6’7 or 6’8 point forward is good as well. 6’7 has the better stats of course, but 6’’8 isn’t bad either. It’s the pure playmaking pie chart and if you want it to say “point forward” your going to have to sacrifice some finishing in order to do it. Mine has

Roger Rain it’s the shooting and defense pie, and it’s really a 2 way sharp but get your wingspan a certain length for the title
I have a 2-way sharpshooter, its really good. You get 80 dunk rating at 97 and I think 80 ball handling at 99, and obviously it can shoot and play defense very good, but I rarely see anybody else using it. It can literally do everything, run point, guard their point, it rebounds pretty good, and hit clutch shots, I dont know why no one else is using it.

I think an underrated build is a 6’6 red/blue pie chart PG. With this build you can still get over 70 ball control and if you’re a legend with this build made correctly it’s godly. I made the build with absolutely no shooting and if I run with locks who can shoot too it’s game over cause all I have to really do is hesi, run to the paint and depending on how the defender is set up I can easily get the contact dunk or hop step. With this build I can easily carry the offense cause I picked slashing takeover as well, so I get even more contact dunks and it’s even harder to guard me. Also if you’re running with a 2 way slashing playmaker who can sit corner and hit shots you’re golden cause they can throw hof floor general on. So in reality when you have takeover with this build playing with a 2 way slashing play and a rebounding wing etc you’ll have over 86 ball control,94+ dunking and be able to completely take the opponents PG out the game since you will still have over 20 defensive badges. But this build is completely based on if you have the correct team around you. This honestly even works with a lot of other builds you just need people who can make a couple of wide open 3s or at least be smart enough to cut/throw you a lob when needed. Running this as your actual PG is OP because so many people picked the yellow/green pie chart and at the most are around 90 speed which gets eaten up by a big lockdown like this. My builds physicals are 90 vert, 87 speed,84 acceleration and 87 strength at the PG. if you actually read all this lemme know cause this build is crazy op and fun af to play with at the park if you know how to cheese this year lol

2-way finisher 6'9, 259lb, 1 tick down from max wingspan. i got 14f 1s 6p 30d. this build is insane for easy mismatches ez boards. i think if u could add a 3pt shot it would be cheesey.
I have seen only 1-3 “sharpshooter” build all year really and I feel maybe not dominant but i love it and it works on 3s like 6’9 sf sharp 30 shooting badges

You can get a build with way more badges i just liked how i played with the build, 1-Badges Gold dropsteper and backdown punisher Gold my post game inside decent. 2- hof Quick Drawn, Hof Range extender, Hof Green machine, Hof catch and shot, hof deadeye and gold deepfades. 3-Post spin gold. 4-Intimidator Gold and Gold Rim protector. If you know how to play big you wont have a problem without rebound chaser i was snaging over glass locks with my slasher, interceptor works rarely same with pickpocket, if you go below 7 foot chase down artist is op this year.
I'd say personallyy favorite build is my paint defender at the center. It's a shooting and finishing pie chart, speed/strength. It has 99 strength, 70 3pt, 80 interior defense, and 92 standing dunk. Very cheesy for me and doesn't lack in anything
A 65 three point shot is green. You get the right badge combination and you know your jumper you can green up super consistently.
If it’s so comp do a wager. Prove it. If it’s comp bring ur build to the best competition around. I bet if u play people who know how to play with the build it’s gonna be hard with one defensive badge.

My scoring machine bullies guards, contacts dunks and a good three point shooting ability. Mix that with maxed out post scoring and he’s really tough to guard, like a Kobe Bryant/Dwayne wade build.
I would say vertical and acceleration are also the most overrated attributes in 2k20 besides steal

I know it’s used quite a bit but my slashing playmaker (full playmaking build) is highly effective. I have 60 badge upgrades and it kills Rec and park. It seems like no one uses the playmaking chart rather then play/ slash pie chart.

I have 3 builds. And my 3rd build is a 6’5 2-way 3pt Facilitator sg 6’5. Build is super underrated, I can run the 1,2, or the 3. 80 3pt and mid. Inside is decent 70s (for dunk and layup, dunks higher. All defensive stats (80+) defensive rebound is a 85 and can snag over big men even without rebound chaser. 75 ball handle good enough to iso with (all at 95 overall so add +5 to all that for legend). Badge upgrades are 4(finishing), 17 (shooting), 10 (Playmaking), 18 (defense)
My 7’1 Interior Force(Slashing/Shooting Pie chart)is deadly. PnR, PnPop, Post Up, Spot up it don’t matter. Straight bucket

Multi-Position Defender is a slept on build. It’s probably the best lockdown build in the game. You can be big man or the wing player plus guard the entire court. It’s not a shooter by any means but it shuts down any build on the game without problem. 2way finisher is the same just with more shooting upgrades and finishing badges. MPD is exactly what it says tho. You locking anybody down.
Post scoring Sharpshooting Small Forward max height able to grab boards create own shot dunk finish really well at the rim can hit deep threes and can defend with the length

Joe, I watch/play a lot of comp pro-am. After the BTB patch, quite a few pg's use the same pie chart at the 1 and run a form of 5-out, or with a pop center. Difference is it's obviously shorter and as a 6'5 pg it's just called a slashing playmaker. But still, same build basically, it's becoming more meta. Quite a few players running Swag's build from the corner in pro-am at 6'9.

The reason why nobody wants to make these unique or unpopular builds is for 2 reasons. 1: the person might want to make a build from a certain yter and try to play like them and most popular yters (with the exception of joe) have these “meta” builds. 2: Most people in the community will flock to what is easiest to win in the game. That’s why there are so many play locks and all lock lineups and because those are the best builds in the game, almost every player in the community has a lock of some sort

I’m a comp player and if other comp players say “ohh that builds sh*t because it has a 65 3 ball.” My 2 way slashing playmaker has a 63 3 ball and I green consistently. And my paint beast has a 47 three ball and I can hit from the corner.

People are always riding the wave. As long as you kno how to use your build, the strengths, and the weaknesses you can dominate with any build. The rare builds is hard to guard cuz it's rare, no one has is, and you wouldn't kno how to play it cuz it's not common. Me personally I dont ride the wave and like to go with the rare builds.
