- Join me on-board a KLM Boeing 737-900 for this short trip from Birmingham, UK to Amsterdam, Netherlands.
As the national airline of the Netherlands I had high hopes for KLM and thankfully my expectations were certainly met. This was one of the most enjoyable flights that I have taken recently and I can see why over 30 million passengers choose KLM per year. Stick around for my final thoughts at the end of the review.

Brilliant Report! KLM are my favorite airline in Europe, catering is excellent for an intra-European flight and an enjoyable experience overall. You really covered it well!

I travel as much as possible and love trying out new carriers/aircraft, I have traveled all over the globe but I have to say my favourite trip is always flying BHX to AMS on Flybe Embraers! It's always a fantastic city break!

I've watched it yesterday, at WArsaw-Modlin airport, just when I woke up and I was waiting for my flight to Madrid. So I wasn't really in the mood to write anything haha
I agree with you that the almost only "con" that I've found flying with them (and this was already 2 years ago) is the "too much blue cabin". But as long as those are their colours... Well, it's something understandable.

Really looking forward to my first KLM flight next week. I've just watched your Lufthansa review, would you say Klm are better based on your own experience
It’s a tough one to call because on my KLM trip I had an extra legroom seat compared with a standard seat on Lufthansa. Overall though I think that KLM just shaded it.

Hi Blake, the registration you show on 1:44 PH-EZV is unfortunately not correct. PH-EZV is assigned to an KLM Embrear 190.
That being said, as a Dutchman I am proud to hear your review. I always fly KLM if possible. The only other company I have flown in the last 10 years was on transfer from a KLM-flight to Montreal to WestJet. Thanks for this lovely review.
The reg's for the 737-900's with KLM are: PH-BXO PH-BXP PH-BXR PH-BXS and PH-BXT

Remember growing up in the 90s when KLM flew a turboprop Cityhopper Fokker 50 aircraft to BHX. Like your new opening credit with your logo✈️👍
I have a photo of the aircraft in a scrapbook from when I was a kid! Taken from the old viewing area in the terminal. Thanks for the comments I quite like the opening myself.

Loved the take off sequence and the sun rise. I’ve not done an early morning departure for quite some time. I agree about the seat pockets, it’s one of my pet hates when they are rammed with crap.

Great Video but £151! That’s insane for a 1 hour flight! You could probably go to somewhere much further away in Asia for that cost! I would never pay that much for an hours flight and that’s probably why I have never flown KLM it AF.
It was steep but was one of the few decent connections to another flight I wanted to catch. There are fares for half the price but I booked pretty late. Good point though.
