- Welcome to Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint Idaho. This is Idaho's largest ski resort with 2900 skiable acres of terrain. We had one day to check out all Schweitzer has to offer, needless to say we did not get to it all. Complicating matters was the snowy day we got. North Idaho hadn't gotten its big winter dump yet so the snow was welcome, but of course had to come on the day we set aside for filming Schweitzer. Thankfully Schweitzer was great to work with. Our awesome contact Sean from Schweitzer showed us around and even gave us some sunny day drone footage to help with the video. We loved Schweitzer, can't wait to go back and explore without the cameras!

Fond memories is Schweitzer, great place. Was there in late 70's (lol) and always remember the Mountain Bluebirds there, spectacular.

Thanks man. While I was on this trip I met a guy that camps all winter long in a hammock. Swears it's the best way to go especially in the winter. You have to get an underquilt and can get pricey for the initial investment, but seemed like a great move for someone like you.

There is this cool hidden lake on Schweitzer it's a swimming hole more of a pond obviously go in summer or take the polar plunge if you want there are signs for it.
Does Schweitzer do downhill MTB?

It's a big mountain! We only had one day and quite a bit was closed still. The t-bar was closed

That place is mad expensive. Silver Mountain in Kellog is much more affordable.
hmmm... If you break it down by the hour is it? Cuz Silver you only have like 5 hours to ski with those gondola rides

Brundage for the best snow in Idaho!
@@jaymontgomery3330 That's our favorite mountain too Jay. Schweitzer had a lot of similarities to Brundage. If you like Brundage, this would be a good mountain to check out.
