    Great question Sean. Some of our clients put the whole unit in the "walk-in" but most chill the seltzer after carbonating. Cold Plate, jockey box, flash chiller, etc.

    So the entire unit can go into the refrigerator ? The motor will be fine with the cold and possible condensation ?

      Many have built that kit. You do need to put some holes in the fridge though.

    The brass pump is Ok for water but if you want to carbonate wine or something acidic you need a stainless pump. We can customize the carbonator for you. The check valve will stop the backflow problem from happening

    • @paulbunyun4479
      @paulbunyun4479 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's confusing. the backflow is used to prevent the soda water from flowing back into the water supply, if the soda water comes into contact with the brass procon pump it could cause someone to get ill (very very slim chance) mostly to save CO2 gas from leaking back. the stainless steel pump he is talking about would be used if your circulating soda water in a CLOSED system such as a McDonalds..sounds like he is trying to upgrade you and make extra $$$$$

    • @davidbooth7194
      @davidbooth7194 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paulbunyun4479 HI Paul, we only recommend the stainless pump for clients that are pushing acidic beverages through the pump. Wine, fruit juice, etc. The regular brass pump is fine for our water customers. No need to upgrade. If the backflow preventer fails it is an easy swap. Fairly rare but does happen to some folks that buy used carbonators

    • @davidbooth7194
      @davidbooth7194 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, that's the backflow preventer. It keeps the CO2 from going back through the pump. We stock replacements if you still think you need one. Fairly easy to swap out

    Please help: I have 2 carbonators, 1 i bought used from a restaurant and the other i just bought brand new. My issue is when i purchased the used one, i took it apart to clean the water tank and it had a bunch of black flakes that dissolve when you press, i decided to purchase a brand new McCanns because didnt want to take a health risk, but i was so curious i pulled the floater off and low and behold there are black flakes on the bottom of a brand new unit. My water is filter with Reverse Osmosis. Im trying to understand if its residue from the pump, or the stainless tank.

    If the motor is brass there is no problem in that part of the pump with the carbonated water maybe flowing thru the brass(if somehow the water goes backwards), also do I chill the water first or after going thru the carbonator?
    Thanks

      The brass pump only comes in contact with your water supply. These pumps meet California ultra-low-lead brass mandates. There is, almost certainly, something far more questionable somewhere in your water supply path. The pump pushes fresh supply water into the tank where it is carbonated. The tank itself and all lines/fittings are stainless steel. At no point does the carbonated water come into contact with brass.

    Hello I’m new to this I just purchased a 6 valve counter electric soda dispenser it’s has the carbonator with it I was wondering which hose do I connect to the soda machine to get the carbonated water to the machine ?

      Hi Steven, I would think it is already connected if the carbonator is built in. We can try to get you an answer but I think the manufacturer of where and what you bought can help too. What did you buy and from who?

    Do you need to refrigerate the whole unit? Or would you run coiled line through a mini fridge? Other than the co2 what do you need? Do you sell a hand held dispenser gun as well? Really interested in the unit.

    Hi im looking to start a tea based energy drink, and would like to produce 500 to 1000 case of 24 12oz plastic bottles per week, will this be a good match for me. And also the fitting for the water, can i plug it directly to the tea ?,,

    • @kegmannet
      @kegmannet  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HI Tony, This carbonator isn't capable of keeping up with that volume. Most clients start off with the motorized carbonator in the trial phase and work out the process before investing in the full production. Yes we can modify the pump to handle the tea. Call us at 973-512-2028 if you're interested in ordering the starter kit
