    Ironically, the only reason the ride is Twilight Zone themed is because Michael Eisner wouldn't sign off on it unless it had a recognizable brand name on it.

    The only Easter egg off the top of my head that was missed was the chalk outline to the other dimension from Little Girl Lost. It’s in the large corridor after the ride on the way to the photos.
    Your description of the tv room is exactly how I feel every time I am in there. It never gets old.

      It's been a very long time since I rode it but I want to say I remember hearing the little girl's voice playing on the speakers too.

    As someone who visits Studios often, I’ve grown more found of the easter eggs in that ride because of your Twilight-tober zone! Glad you finally got to visit and experience it for yourself!!

    1. Yes I would love to see more content like this.
    2. Disney in Florida has a Daily Bugle?!
    3. Do you ever plan on going to Disneyland to try the Guardians “Mission Breakout” ride? I do miss the Tower of Terror over here, but I had a blast on the new version and the attention to detail is still just as strong in the new version.

    • @WalterCulture

      The Daily Bugle was from the Spider-Man ride at Universal. I don’t have any DisneyLand plans right now, but if I ever go back, I’d be interested in checking out the Guardians’ ride. The Guardians ride at Epcot is amazing. Maybe I’ll talk about it more if there’s enough interest.

    Dang I just went to Disney World, but I missed that ride. Unfortunately, someone else in our group was leading us to which rides we should ride. Well, next time I'll check out the ride.
    The Invaders was one of my favorites as a kid. If you've ever watched James Rolfe's reviews on Monster Vision, how he stayed semi-awake during overnight marathons and blurred the lines between dream and reality, I could say the same thing for me for those Twilight Zone marathons. Tried to stay up and record them all, only to not be sure which were real and which were dreams. So it's really great to see another TZ fan. Can't wait to see your Season 5 review next year!

      One more year to go! Thanks for sticking with me. Definitely check out the ride when you can. Just keep an eye out because some of these easter eggs are very difficult to find.

    There's also the TV movie Tower of Terror that unfortunately has zero connections to the Zone (most likely copyright stuff). It was directed by Are You Afraid of the Dark creator D.J. MacHale and was filmed at the ACTUAL ride itself!

      @WalterCulture  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes! I think I saw it way back when, but I remember almost nothing about it. Maybe I should revisit...

    Great stuff Walter. great stuff indeed. I my self i've been on the Twilight zone tower of Terror ride twice during my last trip to Florida in 2017, and i thought it was a great ride. this was before i propperly got in to the Twilight zone my self. I believe there is a version of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney Land Paris at the moment. hopefully it'll still be in it's current itteration when and if you finally get over there. Great work on the Twilight toberzone anyway. pitty it has to come to an end next year though. :) look forward to hear more top 5 favourite episodes of the Twilight zone per series in the future. in the mean time, keep up the good work.

    I’ve been to Disneyland twice, never been to Disney World. By far my favorite attraction was the Tower of Terror. I usually don’t like scary rides, but I had such a blast that I wanted to ride it again and again. It helps that the ride is telling a story and doing it so well.
    I was so bummed that they changed Disneyland’s Tower to Guardians of the Galaxy (even though I love Guardians - but losing the Twilight Zone theming just seems like a waste). I’m glad the one in Florida still exists. Thanks for reviewing the ride! Made me remember why I enjoyed it so much in the first place.

      I’ve read there were small differences between the DisneyLand and Disney World versions. Wish I could have rode the California attraction to compare. Hope you can check out the one at Hollywood Studios eventually. Thanks for watching!

    Amazing video!! Happy that you loved every second of it! This is one of my favorite attractions since '96 when I rode for the first time when I was just a kid. This actually led me to search and watch the whole TZ series (kinda hard here in Mexico, but they released it on Blu-ray a few years ago). Looking forward to complete the Twilight-tober Zone next year!

    Its such a fun ride. I got to go to Japan this summer and did the Disney Sea version. It is a entire different story with a rich guy who owns this building and he disappears at a party. It was not as good as the USA one I felt it was more intense.

    • @WalterCulture
      @WalterCulture  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ve been meaning to look up that other version or watch a ride through. Always interesting when they change the theming at a different park.

    • @Mr_1Ballwhale
      @Mr_1Ballwhale ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah they also had an Indiana Jones ride which was cool. It was funny to hear a Japanese Indiana. They have some other cool rides like 20,000 leagues under the sea and a roller coaster with a loop. It's a very interesting park since its separated into different themes. The main attraction is the Journey to the Center of the earth which is a thrill ride. The giant volcano is the main center piece where the ride is at. I also got to go to Universal Studios Japan which was awesome. They still have Jaws which was a trip being the only American on the boat. @@WalterCulture

      Like so much at Disney Sea, the design is absolutely gorgeous; the exterior looks absolutely Miyazaki steampunk gothic, like so much of the park.

    This was my favorite ride at Disney and it was my first true exposure to the realm of the twilight zone. It was around 2008 or 2007. It holds a special place in my heart rode it with my late grandfather on my mom’s side. I loved it and it became an obsession to me for a while. Thanks for sharing your experience about the ride.

    Great vid. I remember going when I was 12. The elevator scared the crap out of me. Eating before going on the ride was not my smartest call. Also had Walter ever seen the movie “Tower of Terror “ ? I remember there were a lot of references to that when I went.

      Actually no. They omitted the franchise from the start because it’s not a cultural touchstone in Japan since the show rarely aired in Japan. Ironically I think that story is more in line with the show than the version based on it
