Varenna is an essential stop for anyone wishing to visit one of the most typical and quite towns of the lake. A must if you are in Milan. The best and fastest way to get in Varenna is to take Train from Milano Centrale - Tirano. It's just 3 stops [ Monza-Lecco-Varenna ]. Ticket cost 6.70 euro 2nd class [one way]. If you are visiting Milan , Varenna is definitely worth a visit it's just an hour from Milano Centrale Railway Station ticket cost 6.70 euro one way. It is just 3 stops Monza, Lecco then Varenna.

If you wanted to enjoy varenna make sure to go in weekend. Every 1 hour there is train going to varenna from Centrale Milano, if you wanted to explore more town in como just purchase 1 day ticket cost 15 euro ( from varenna boat station ) you can hop and hop town you want to visit.
