I have (3) of these uPerfect monitors in a portrait-landscape-portrait orientation connected using Thunderbolt5 cables to the (3) Thunderbolt5 ports on the back of the Mac Mini. I have a few hardware issues with the screen freezing, I will probably reach out to Uperfect to have them replace them but the quality and features is the best I've seen on the market!
Johnny, pair this monitor with "Feising Portable monitor desk clamp mount" which has a magnetic puck that is easy to attach to the monitor for a portable setup
Thanks for the review, finally I found who tested it with MacBook, not just gaming. I ordered this monitor and will get it within one week. I'm planning to use it with my MacBook Pro 16". The screen size is very similar, but with default scaled resolution it 1440x1600 the fonts is bigger then display on MacBook with default resolution 1728x1080(1117). Can you try to use 1680x1050 with this monitor on macOS. And please give me you verdict, image and fonts is clear with this not default resolution or blurred? I mean with 1680x1050 resolution macOS still use HiDPI mode or not?
Once you select the non-touch version and after discount, it's $300, which could be a lot for some people. Considering the specs you're getting, I think it's a good deal.
@@JohnnyMcPro It should. Oled should consume significantly less power than equivalent LCD. I have done a similar review with the Arzopa Z1FC (yet to upload, scheduled for early next month) on my channel @n0frills. These monitors can use single usb-c but there's a power limitation. e.g. you can't run at max brightness, max volume etc. www.youtube.com/@n0frills
Not sure if it was just the shot or not, but the screen looks a little washed out on Mario Kart, but looked pretty moody when you were playing Stray. I'm assuming you were using the PC for running Stray? Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Also, I'm really curious how it runs on a Z1 extreme chip for those that play on PC handhelds.
Yes! It works using only one single USB-C cable to power the display from the M4 Mac Mini. Though, I believe you can't run it at full brightness, but that's ok since it gets very bright.

@@JohnnyMcPro buy me one, lol
Johnny B. Goode!
Is it possible to run this set up from a power bank?
Yep. Doing it now.

My color grade at that spot (Mario Kart) was too bright. Stray was actually on Mac. I will test on a PC handheld!
Does it work using only USB-C on the Mac Mini M4?

Looks good but man oled always gives me burn in fears. I know there are mitigation measures but still...never at ease. Great review though!
Does egpu work with it?
Yup. Currently using adt ut3g egpu, and connecting from gpu to the monitor using displayport-usbc cable.
@zakyzuhairy8913 ok will you please make a video
