I went to have my cap signed by Ricky Skaggs after one of his concerts and he talked with me a little about Faith, what an incredible guy , I loved him and his music from the first time I heard him sing in the early 80's, God bless you and your family Ricky.
Has always been my most favorite country/gospel/blue grass performer...and this is just another reason. He isnt pushing off or hiding his beliefs to stay popular.
What you need to be is citizens under constitutional rights. Plenty of Americans and, I dare say, Tennesseans too, do not believe in god or do not interpret Jesus’ words the way anti-abortionists do. You are free to chose what you want to do. Don’t push your religion onto every citizen: remember: separation of church and state and freedom of conscience and faith. If you don’t condone abortion, don’t practice abortion-yourself-that’s your choice. There’s nothing wrong with that. But it’s wrong to push a particular religion on everyone. It is, in fact, unconstitutional and un American.
