A Village of Sciences at Wellesley College

Our Science Complex is built into a hill, at the top of which you’ll find Whitin Observatory and Global Flora Greenhouses. Our updated facilities and world-class faculty have created a gold standard of undergraduate STEM education (and a neat extended metaphor): a Village of Sciences on Science Hill. Updates include a new observatory telescope, sustainable teaching and research greenhouses, studio teaching and lab spaces, makerspaces, and a horticulture and ecology lab. It takes a village to raise the next generation of paradigm-shifting students.

My daughter and I went on a tour last summer, our 19th and last one, almost as an afterthought. We came away deeply impressed with what we encountered there. The stem facilities were amazing, even to a HS science teacher like me. I hope my girl ends up at Wellesley. In a few weeks we will know one way or another.
