What weight such as bulky, extra chunky, 4 ply, only alpaca or will other types work, etc? Your yarn has a string in the twist that you remove. I cannot find this type of yarn online, but I really don't know what to search for. Thank you again for sharing your masterful talent!!!

My criteria for choosing a yarn are colour and texture. I don't care about the material. I choose the yarn that is closest to the breed of dog that I am making. For example, the thickness of the yarn will affect how tightly it is twisted. You can unravel the yarn and use it with a comb, or just unravel it and use it as it is. Have fun experimenting with different yarns and methods! We'd love to share the fun of all the different challenges! Thank you for your comments!
