Ig a result of the emasculated and irresponsible environment the West is... Shaykh Azhar Al Nasser tackled that well. This method of giving a thumbs up but only indirectly giving a thumbs down may serve to let people who are on the path of sinning feel comfortable in sinning and less likely to repent. If iran is more accepting of transgenders being that well they actual pay for transgender surgery
    Why is it still a major stigma among the Shiite community to talk about it ?
    Or is the decision to pay for these kinds of surgeries based on something other than theology ? Are there rulings against them or being transgender ?
    Maybe I misunderstood but the sayed was saying it is haram in Islam to be gender neutral correct ? So you have to make a decision to either be female or male.
    Any thoughts please?

      Not all Ayatollah agree on gender reassignment surgery. Sayyid Khomeini made a fatwa in the 1970s to an individual to have gender reassignment surgery. Sayyed Khamenei reconfirmed this to be allowed. But Sayyid Sistani says because medical technology can't change the genitalia of a person into a function genitalia of the opposite gender, then it's not allowed. Sayyid Sistani says that once technology advances to the point that gender reassignment can change a gender into the opposite gender with genitalia that can reproduce children in the correct way, then it will be permissible, but until then it is haram.
      So to answer question, I don't know what Sayyid Khomeini based his fatwa on, and it seems that Sayyed Khamenei based his fatwa on not contradicting Sayyid Khomeini. But Sayyid Sistani has based his fatwa clearly on the biological function of a person's ability to impregnate or be impregnated.

    • @aliabu-talib332
      @aliabu-talib332 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The difference is profound my sister. There is a difference between transgender and transsexual. In Iran, if after careful modern tests, and analysis, a person is diagnosed as transsexual, they may decide to proceed to transition into all male or all female, depending on there doctors' prescription. In the Western world, the issue of gender versus sexuality is the issue. A person can simply claim to FEEL different that the sexuality they were "assigned" to at birth. And then can proceed without any of these tests to have a sex change. These irreversable procedures are now being done on children as young as five and six years old... all over the western world. It's become a multi million dollar business. Thus it is now profit driven. Also the social magicians have now waved their magic wands and have made it illegal in the US to use traditional pronouns to "identify" people. This is not happening in Iran, and nowhere else outside the Western World. Most of us see this as an assault on freedom of speech.

    • @user-pf3vz3rd9h
      @user-pf3vz3rd9h 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RealCoachMustafa please elaborate if possible, so according to Sayed al Sistani it is ok for a person to change their gender if they felt like it even though men and women are forbidden to even wear clothes that would make them appear like the opposite gender? Is it ok for people to go against what Allah decreed for them at birth and choose a different identity?

    • @RealCoachMustafa
      @RealCoachMustafa 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@user-pf3vz3rd9h No, I didn't say any of that at all. Sayed Sistani said it's NOT permissible to do gender transition surgery. His reason is because when a man changes to a woman, his genitals does not work like a woman's genitals. A man who turns into a woman can not get pregnant. He doesn't produce eggs and he doesn't have ovaries that function properly. Same for the other way around. A woman who goes through gender transition surgery. Her genitals don't produce sperm and can't get a woman pregnant. That is his explanation as to why he said it's not permissible. It's on his website, go read it.

      @@aliabu-talib332 so may I ask very respectfully…If Iran does it, it’s ok but if US or any other western nation does it, its not ok? What does it really mean to be all man and all woman? It is disgustingly disappointing that people tried to guilt trip by saying they'd commit suicide. Idk how they can be considered decent when they live in sin and threaten to do a sin if u call them out on the sin. What lord are they worshipping? Allah or themselves?

      Brother, as someone who has struggled with suicidal thoughts and has escaped suicide twice, I a 100% agree that it's ridiculous to use suicide as a means to get something from people.
      But it seems you really don't understand how some people genuinely feel inside. It's not that they wanna sin or do it on purpose.
      You can't really help someone like that. It's like someone who must take in alcohol as a medicine because else he'll die and there are no alternatives. He can't help it, so it is halal for him.

      I've seen people coming closer to Allah and developing great character by transitioning. However, I also believe these people belong to the minority. I agree with you that this is not the case for the average man or woman. @@ColonelFluffles In sunni islam, if one masturbates (which is considered zina universally), it is ok if it prevents you from doing that zina with another person. This is part of the way they cope with not having muta.
      Maybe someone has an oppressive father that wont let them go to a hussainiya, or wont let them study in a hawza. They then decide to kill their father.
      Umar bin Abdulaziz is still a usurper even with some of his good character. He is going to hell.
      This is a sunni mindset in general "sure x sahabi or whoever did x, but because of that they ended up doing y!!!"
      The means of sin doesn't justify the end... even if it's a pious one.
      Sinning to be more pious defeats the whole purpose of being pious in the first place.... its called hipocrisy.
