So here's the thing about that US law (re: firing people for being trans) while it is *technically* illegal, most states are considered "at will" work states, meaning that an employer can fire you at any time for any reason. So they fire people for being black, trans, etc, but all they have to do is write something else on the form. Yes, a step in the right direction but I assure you it is merely a formality. Half-steps to the wall but those steps are important none-the-less.
