Here’s the ironic thing, I am watching through (at the tail end) that Let’s Play for something called neurofeedback. In short, the sessions do something with my brain so I am able to cope with certain sounds and not get as much anxiety.
Truly the most interesting part about this his video is watching the evolution of the Thumbnails of the series. From just the logo, to the bar on the side, to the Stephen&Mal, to mal having her own logo... it’s a good indication of how much the channel has grown honestly!
I'd love a full Earthbound versus LP still. That was such a fun video. Other anticipated ones go to the Return of the Sims, that game Mal wants to bring but I xan never remember the name, and...someday another wacky Pokemon run. Big grats on 10 years! Thanks Mal for letting Stephen do something insane luke pursue this career, thanks to Dan for not only his amazing editing but also practicality saving GTA Online. And..Thank you Patreons. Thanks to you two of my favorite internet people get to create videos all the time. Here's to another million years of kissing everyone in town and drowning your minions.
Happy 10 years! Personally, I'd love to see the Ace Attorney games get covered on the channel. It'd be a great opportunity for you and Mal to flex your voices for different characters!
Holy crap. I didn't even realize I've been around since near the beginning. I started with earthbound while it was midway through, and the Skyrim early days. Also, I learned from this video that the first extra life was 2 days after my daughter was born. Now me and Priscilla watch most of your videos together, and she loves Mal's paintings, even working to paint some of them when she was around 4 years old. She's also recently started to work on some fan art for you guys, hoping to send it to you via mail once we are able to get everything done. You guys have been amazing the whole time, and I love that me and my daughter can bond over watching you guys, and we have bought quite a few games because Priscilla saw you playing them and wanted to play them with me too. Stephen, Mal, Dan, and all of the "& friends," thank you all for the wonderful content you guys have given us.
You deserve every single good thing coming your way. I've been here for 8 of said 10 years, and since then my life has changed so much. I owe a lot of my interests to you, Stephen. Thank you for being you, I'll always treasure you as a major part of my life, even though you might never read this comment
I remember VIVIDLY coming home from middle school when I was 13-14 ish and I couldn't wait to watch Twilight princess as it was coming out. Every series always put a smile on my face since I was 11 years old. Here's to another 10 years!
if I remember correctly Stephen said Mal had the final say on if it gets cut or not once breath of the wild is over, and possibly the next TRG colosseum. (I remember there being a deal for a donation.) and iirc Mal said it would get cut.
I joined in the channel a couple weeks after the shadow of the colossus play through. I remember I was at a sleep over at my cousins and I couldn’t sleep. I decided to watch every SOTC episode available and almost every Skyrim episode available up to that point and I was hooked since. Not long after I watched every Minecraft video and then went back and watched portal up until uncharted. I still had dialup at the time and not even a TH-cam account, so watching was a pain but I loved every second. 9 years later and I still look back fondly at all the great series I have watched. Every uncharted, every Skyrim episode, and even the series that introduced me to some of my current favorites such as mother and SOTC. Even the blog channel I’ve been keeping up as best I could with me missing only 300-400 blogs over 10 years. Stephen aye has been a huge impact on 9-10 years of my life. From about age 10- age 20. Thank you for a great 10 years and hopefully the next 10 will give the channel a well deserved boost. As my first real LP channel that I watched, could be more excited.
Congrats to 10 years of Stephenplays. Thank you Stephen, Mal, and Dan for making me laugh and enjoy your content over the years. I hope you one day continue the assassins creed series with Assassins Creed Black Flag. A great pirate story that I think you will really enjoy.
The best StephenPlays moment for me was in the Sims 3 Episode 9. I remember watching it for the first time, and as the episode opened I thought the new house looked like the suggestion I had commented on the last episode, but I figured someone else had just commented something similar. Then, when he confirmed that my comment inspired the overall design, and said my handle, I was at a loss for words. I was so overwhelmed and excited to have had such an impact on a series and channel I loved so much, and to have been recognized, if only for a moment. My entire week was made, just like that. This channel has been my constant for the past decade, and I am so grateful for all the hilarious content you put out. I know I've come here in my darkest moments because you always bring a smile to my face. From the Brawny-mobile to the herp skerp saga to Peggy's creation, this channel is a comedic masterpiece. Thank you Stephen and Mal, as well as Dan and all the rest. Here's to many more wonderful years!
In 2015 I started dating this weird nerd who was subbed to you guys, I was hooked and it's wild to have been here for 5 years already. So many beautiful memories :) anyways, we're getting married next year! Here's to many more years watching you and Mal together
I honestly cannot believe that StephenPlays has been around for so long. It’s been a part of my life for... 10 years. It’s been very fun watching and listening to the journey coinciding with the vlogs, whenever they got around. Fun, laughter, tears, screams. Just overall fun times with this channel, Stephen and Mal, the & Friends, Mal Makes and everything including TRG and co. and all! Thank you for the good times that have come and for more to come!
I've been waiting patiently for StephenPlays Assassin's Creed 4. There's a lot of fun mechanics added and I've been waiting to see your reaction to those.
I've been watching since Grade school, now I'm in college. I might not have watched everything or have fallen off occasionally, but this has been a place I know I can go for some laughs and fun for many years, and I thank you for that.
Awww, this gave me the warm fuzzy feeling i needed today. Thanks for always making and putting out such great content, it'll never go unappreciated by me and so many others. I can't remember when i started watching, i think it's been about 4 years since i started? Anyway, some of my favorite series would be: The Pikmins, all of them. Katamari Reroll, absolutely hillarious Smash Ultimate, both WoL and Co-op classic. Kirby: Star Allies was TONS of fun. Congratulations on 10 years, and to hopefully many more!
So many amazing lets plays stephen, thank you for all the amazing memories. :) I also would love to see Wind Waker, that is my favorite game of all time and I'd love to see you and Mal play through it.
I remember watching all of those projects from the early years of StephenPlays, including watching Amnesia in the tiniest window on my laptop, covering it with my hand most of the time because I was too scared ! I definitely fell off in the last few years but I recently binged your BotW let's play and it brought back so many fond memories (looking forward to following this series now that I'm caught up) . I was 14 (!!!!!) when I watched you play Portal, and now I'm 24 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I could gush about so many of those projects to be honest, I'm so happy to be reminded of them with this retrospective! I just graduated with a Master's degree in Game Art and I'm pretty sure watching you play through so many games was a major influence in me wanting to make games my career...so I suppose I should thank you for that, too!
Whaaaat, what is this? Looking forward to it!! Premieres at 5am for me though xD Edit to answer end question: The Sims LP was short and sweet, and I’m really looking forward to seeing more eventually! Gah there’s one more that I can’t remember right now, I’ll have to add it when it comes up again!
I've been waiting for Assassin's Creed IV since it came out. Maybe this year is the year! Also I'd love to see you play Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. It's an oldie but goodie!
Congratulations, Stephen! Like many viewers, I was introduced to your channel through Skyrim. Clicking that first video that day opened a door for me to the Elder Scrolls series as a whole, and like you with Earthbound, through it I found friends and outlets for creativity. It changed my life for the better, I think. So thank you for introducing fans to new games and new opportunities. May you continue to inspire people in the future!
Favorite LP is easily SMRPG, it was super fun listening to everyone's different voices you guys gave them, it was the birthplace of many memes during breaks and just really fun Most memorable LP is Leafgreen as it was what introduced me to the channel, I came in around episode 32 and been here since, Keep it up! Happy 10 years
10 years... I was a kid when you started and I have been all through my teenage years and into being an adult in the time you have been doing this. Sometimes it feels quick and other times it feels like a long time. I loved the Twilight Princess Lets play as well as Mario Sunshine and now I am loving Breath of the Wild streams. The game I would like to see you and Mal do in the future would be Banjo Kazzoie but aside from that, just keep doing what you are doing.
Games I'd like to see: Dragon Age: Inquisition - probably unlikely but it's my favorite game of all time. I'd also like dragon age 2. I can't get into Origins but it's a lot of people's favorite so would be fun to watch as well Celeste - One of my favorites, probably would be fun as a stream game. Ikenfell - worth at least a first 20 I think. Cool little rpg about a magic school with lots of cats and lots of secrets. Any of the Supergiant games but especially Transistor. Control - Super fun gameplay with lots and lots of lore to discover and piece together. Now the sappy part: I've been watching since Twilight Princess, I can't believe it's been so long since then. I started watching you in high school and now I'm in my 20s, crazy how time flies. The time when you were releasing Chulip and Bioshock was probably my favorite. Watched them on my lunch period every day and it gave me something to look forward to and escape some stress. I'm very thankful for everything you along with everyone on the channel do to entertain us and also for curating a community that has for the vast majority been very accepting and inclusive. Here's to many more years!
Holy cow I can't believe it's been 10 YEARS!! I remember watching back in 2014-2015 and it doesn't seem like that long ago. I have a habit of rambling on so to keep it as short as possible: THANK YOU!! Like SOOOO MUCH!! You have no idea how much you and everyone involved in the channel means to me and to others. I'm on a mission to rewatch the ENTIRE Uncharted series for the FOURTH time because I love the game so much. I want to thank you for helping me through some of the absolute worst times of my life, giving me some of my greatest memories and for being my mother's introduction into let's plays. Her favorites were the Uncharted games (that was my third viewing), The Last of Us, and the To the Moon series. The last series we watched together was Finding Paradise before she passed away in June 2019 to cancer. I think I can speak for everyone when I say you are an inspiration like no other! So from the bottom of my heart, Thank you :)
I was first introduced to this channel in the 5th grade when I was looking for a let's play of uncharted, I thought stephen was hilarious and made awesome videos... fast-forward to today and I've just graduated high school and through it all I've seen some of my favorite let's plays ever including but not limited to legend of zelda TP, pokemon leaf green, and chulip, this channel will always hold a special place in my heart and I sincerely wish you all the best in life
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY FOREVER!!! I HAVE MEMORIES WHEN I WAS LIKE 5 AND I WOULD WATCH TWILIGHT PRINCESS LITERALLY EVERYDAY! But I would like to just say thank you! You have been a part of my childhood and have changed my life and shaped me who I am today! I would of course if you could not see I want well twilight princess to return! It is my fav let’s play and is just amazing! Ok I have been going on for to long bye thank you so much!!!!
I joined with the Leaf Green LP, and I'm genuinly shocked to realise I've been here for nearly 9 years now. As another comment said, you, Mal and all your friends who've been featured here deserve nothing but the best! And I'm super excited for what the future brings! My favourite Memorable Moment is with 100% certainty the "Zelda is Princess" one. I love all the different voices over the years, but all the comment-voices and then the dead-pan "That's the joke" always has me in fits! Thank you again so much for all you've created over the past 10 years, and onto the next years!
Thank you guys for the years of great entertainment! You and Mal together make a great team and share a wonderful dynamic! In terms of games I’d love to see, Omori came out back in December and has a wonderful albeit heavy story. It’s wonderful if you can handle the serious themes. Also, still waiting patiently to see Mal take you through Okage. Have been waiting to look up anything about the game cause I wanna be surprised when it finally hits the channel!
I’d LOVE to see you return to Pokémon again, either with a game like HeartGold that still has a lot of Gen 1 Pokémon that you’d be familiar with, or a game like Black and White that has only new Pokémon so it would be completely different for you. I’d also love to see a full Earthbound Versus at some point, that one video you did with Mal for SNES Classic was great! Also looking forward to you guys playing Galaxy at some point! And congrats on 10 years! I personally started watching 9 years ago (Leafgreen was the full series I watched fully as it was going on) and it’s weird that I’ve been watching since I was in middle school, and now I’m almost done college. Time definitely flies, but I’m looking forward to many more years of StephenPlays!
Going through this video, sometimes I forget just hooow much Stephenplays I have watched. All of minecraft along with stephencraft and adventure maps, most of skyrim, all of twilight princess, mario kart, GTA V, all the DKC games, AC1-3, all the Pikmin games, all Halos but odst, most of leafgreen, RE5 and 6, Brawl Smash 4 and a bit of ultimate, bioshock, a decent chunk of morning mario, sister segadventure limbo and inside, both amnesias, mario 64 and mario sunshine, earthbound, journey, all uncharteds, both portals, all the Little Big Planets, to the moon and Far Cry 4, Sonic Generations, Kirby SuperStar and Shadow of the Colossus, are all lets plays I have watched, which is not counting rewatches, (or NintenPlays.) Thank you so much for deciding to make this youtube channel. You have no idea how big of an impact this has made on my life and so many others. I feel like its hard to call this more than just a lets play channel or just entertainment, because despite that being what stephenplays is, you and mal and everyone else involved has managed to get me through some very bad days. I was 12 when I started watching before I even had a channel, and I'm now 19 hoping to move into my first apartment soon and get into graphic design. Its just insane to think about sometimes. Heres to another 10 if you have it in you!
This means I've been watching your journey for over ten years 😭 I remember when you first started StephenPlays and the short lived channel where you opened playing card packages around the same time. I think we all knew StephenPlays was going to trump that! Anyway, this is so surreal. Although I haven't watched every let's play, I always love your content when I see you and I'm looking forward to the next ten years!
Watching Stephen go over every single project that was released on StephenPlays makes me realize that I love all of the old projects. I've rewatched LoZ TP, LoZ OoT, Super Mario 64, DKC Returns and Tropical Freeze, the Smash series, Pokemon LeafGreen, Mario Kart...the list goes on. What surprised me the most was that Stephen's first collab with TRG was in 2016. I thought Four Swords was so much later...god, that means I'm old! I still remember "Bombs...?" like it was yesterday. Gotta love them bombs. Congratulations to a wonderful 10 years! Thanks for making me feel old (as well as everyone else and probably yourself and Mal), and here's to another 10 (plus) years!
Hiya Stephen, Happy 10 Year Anniversary to this channel! You've come a long way and you and Mal are still going strong and gaming hard! Keep it up you guys! 😁💜
I never realized by discovering you through Skyrim it was almost your beginning for this channel. Guess you were just that good. Thanks for the decade.
I gotta say, I don't know what it is about your channel but I never felt like I was getting bored of your content or drifting away to another youtuber. You always had something to keep me coming back. Whenever I get on youtube you are one of the first youtubers I check to see what the new video is for today. I have been watching since 2013 and I don't plan on going anywhere else as long as you don't. Thanks for all the years of amazing content and the many more to come. If you were to play a game on the channel I would say either "I Ninja" which is one of the best gamecube games ever made or "Pit People" another game made by Bethesda. I think it would be hilarious to watch you and mal play through Pit people the same way you played through Battleblock theater. You inspired me to do what I do as well. Thanks for everything again.
My best StephenPlays memory is watching your Fallout 4 videos with my dad. He has watched me enjoy let's plays and video games since I was in high school and since we don't have that many interests in common that was very important to me because I was able to share such a big part of my life with him and he actually enjoyed it and looked forward to it. So thank you Stephen for that, I will never forget it.
You're probably the lets player I've been following the longest, since way back before i started transitioning. It was a trip seeing all these old lets plays and remembering where i was in my life. Thank you for being here and being great and always producing a quality product. I hope the next 10 years are amazing for the channel
This Channel has been a big part of my life for many years now. I cant thank this community enough. If I had to pick a game I'd like to see, I'd say Windwaker. It's my favorite Zelda and I'd love to see Stephen and Mal tackle the HD remaster. Although if I could get an unlikely choice, I'd love to see Jet Set Radio Future. It was my favorite game growing up and none of the content creators I watch have ever covered it and I'd love to see you two do it.
Congratulations to 10 years of StephenPlays! I’ve been a fan since you and mal lived in your final apartment and it has been a wild ride. From witnessing the end of Skyrim to the Zelda livestreams I’ve been apart of the community. Keep up the great work and here’s to 10 more!
Congratulations on the 10 year anniversary! Has it really been that long? Time truly flies when you are having fun! Also, thank you for not only providing a great community to be a part of , but also just being a great Content Creator. You have a good balance of Let’s Plays and the channel is well organized and the schedule of your videos have been consistently great through the years. But I also want to thank you for how you approach every project you take on. You have finished every single Let’s Play that you started, no matter how long it takes. You have never let me down as a Content Creator. I am very happy to be subbed to you and will continue to do so for hopefully many years to come!
Damn, I remember first subscribing back when Uncharted 3 had just started and it's insane that its already been 7 years since then! My favorite LP was probably your Pikmin 2 LP, i'm sorry for all that you guys went through but admittedly watching you lose your mind was peak entertainment :) As for future projects, I'd love to see you do sequels to games that games you did a long time ago like God of War 2, Assassin's Creed 4, and the Last of Us Part 2! Also this is a shot in the dark, but I'd love to see you and Mal finally Co-op Timesplitters; I grew up with this game and it's been on the "Future Considerations" page of your website for at least as long as I've been a subscriber! Thank you Stephen, Mal, Dan, and everyone else who makes this channel great! I can't wait to see all that you do next!
Man. I can't honestly remember when I started watching this channel, but it must have been in 2011, as I'm sure I have faint memories of when Demo Fridays debuted. I have more or less remained dedicated to watching this channel ever since. I think at first I came here because I was a kid who really liked Fobbies are Borange (and *adored* Loids are not Christmas) and considered myself a fan of The Georg. I never did finish the Journey on StephenVlog, but Plays on the other hand was.. well, it was video games, with Stephen's running commentary. Over this decade, StephenPlays has been *my* rock. When life gets hard, when isolation hits, when I can't do much else, this channel is a sincere comfort and gets my dopamine going. Some playlists, I have seen enough times that I use them as sleep aids. That feels somewhat weird to say out loud, but hey, it works. My fondest memory with this channel was introducing my best friend to the GTA Online playlist. We watched several videos together while voice chatting, crying with laughter, and we still quote moments regularly. ("Dan, isn't that car stolen?") It's, y'know, it's good validation when a friend also agrees that a TH-cam video is funny. And I think StephenPlays is generally *very* funny. Though seeing RunawayGuys videos with you in them is a close second. Chocolate and peanut butter. A game I really want to see on this channel: Black Mesa. Xen is out, the full game has been beefed up and optimized into its Definitive Edition, the game is complete. And what better time to return to the universe you started this channel with, than around the 10 year anniversary of the channel? (...extra, second, Not Logical But Just A Personal Pipe Dream game: The Witness. I suspect that this game would require some brainstorming to even get it to "work" with your channel, it's a long game and not particularly funny, and the presence of a stream chat or youtube commenters could easily spoil the puzzles and the atmosphere. But it's honestly one of my Top 3 favourite games of all time. Like, I'm talking Mother 3 levels of respect. So maybe the more logical wish would be: That you would play through it in your own time, over a long and comfortable span of time. And anyway, you did cover it on a First20, and you covered it remarkably well, and I can be happy with that.) So. Yeah. Black Mesa. They're waiting for you, Stephen. In the *test chamberrrrr.* Happy day, Stephen. Count yourself lucky; you get to have your 10th birthday *twice*. PS: Please inform Dan and Alex that they are comedically brilliant. And Chaz is just Generally brilliant.
TRG and StephenPlays turning 10 years old near each other means so much to me, as I found Stephen (and Mal) through the MKDD tournament that was held long ago (as well as your appearances on Emile's channel). This made me elated to watch the entirety of the Mario Kart LP, at which point I subbed! Admittedly, I'm mostly here for Nintendo things, and seeing y'all play games I enjoy watching or playing is always fun. Even though I've personally vowed not to watch series like TP and the DKC games until I've played them myself, I'm proud to be a fan (and supporter) of you and Mal's content. There's one other thing that made me stay around: community. My time in StephenCraft was THE first time I had every laid foot in an online community. This one MC server is what led me to start opening up, especially after recovering from a dark part of my life and in need of a fresh start. I [FINALLY] BOUGHT MINECRAFT JAVA just to come play starting mid to late June 2014 (though really I bought it in April that year), and I don't regret it. Susan, the name of the server based on an Extra Life meme, has a very sacred place in my heart. While the server is past its time now (press F), I'm blessed to still have contact with some of the people who ran it and remain mods today. The same goes for my closest friends on Susan that I have retained contact with and had the opportunity to grow alongside them; we've all graduated high school within the last two years! While I may have only been seen in approximately ONE (1) StephenCraft video, let it be known that I was around for quite some time, even before then as a lurker. I used to go as a different name (started with an 'A', ended in '178'), but I'm still around today and even less shy than I once was! I'm undoubtedly indebted for Stephen and Mal's content, as well as the community at large (Susan didn't make itself!), for all of what I've said and more. Thank you to all my friends who have always been with me, and everyone else I've met for however long ago we've started talking--- from a month or 7 and a half years. It's hard for me to not feel humble for everything. Thank you all. A million times over. Here's to many more years!
I haven't watched for all 10 years, but wow, time has flown. There's a few interesting games I'd like to see you guys check out - Another Pokemon game (HGSS or SuMo/USUM) Continuing where you left off for Pokémon, HGSS is often considered to be some of the best games in the series by fans. It's lovingly crafted, oozes charm, has a great aesthetic (Mal's even painted it), and has a lot of fun content to do. *The other option that would be cool to see would be a personal favorite of mine, Pokémon Sun/Moon or Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon. The game legit feels like if a sprinkling of EarthBound got mixed into a Pokemon game, because the game's "trials", which replace Gyms in Alola, feel EXACTLY like Sanctuary Bosses in EarthBound.* - Undertale (actually, not just a First 20) You're a huge Mother Fan, you know Toby Fox, and you've still only seen a tiny bit of what this game has to offer. - At Dead of Night Quite a few horror-themed LPers played this game last month, but it'd be interesting to see a LPer who doesn't play as much horror games check this one out. It's a point-and-click FMV survival-horror game where you run around a hotel, and use a device to talk to ghosts to learn about the secrets of the crazy wooden bat-wielding psychopath chasing you through the hotel, and eventually save your friends and escape. - Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (as a full LP,) The First 20 with Emile was hilarious. I'd love to see you and Mal tackle this game together. I didn't think I'd like this game but it's VERY fun. - Okami (as a full LP) Zelda-like, amazing aesthetic, painting mechanic, tons of material for Mal to paint. You guys did a First 20, but a full LP would be really cool - Luigi's Mansion series Tackle all 3 games with Mal (or, at least 1 and 3, since Dark Moon might be harder to record). I'd love to see you two do Co-Op on Luigi's Mansion 3 - Superliminal (as a full LP with Mal) Very fun, and very Portal-esque. The First 20 made me buy the game, and I'd love to see you play the rest.
This makes me feel so old! Been watching you since a few episodes into your Minecraft LP and shortly after found your vlogs. So, 10 years! Holy crap! Love your content. You will always be my favorite TH-camr!
Congratulations on 10 years! You've been my favorite channel here on TH-cam for a long time now! I've enjoy watching all your videos and LPs, Mario Kart was perhaps the best thing I have ever watched, and I will continue to watch! And also, THANK YOU for providing us all that you do. I've yet to see anyone so devoted and it shows in the brilliant content you provide!
Congrats on 10 years! Been following your channel since 2013 when I got into your Subspace Emissary and Twilight Princess LP's. I really appreciate the consistent quality and sense of humor; I've seen a lot of channels go downhill in the same amount of time or shorter, but you guys have remained as entertaining as in the beginning. Here's to the next 10 years!
The first LP that I watched on this channel entirely as it came out was Assassin's Creed after I watched the Uncharted LPs. It's been a long time that I've followed this channel, and it's easily my favorite channel on TH-cam. Been a patron on Patreon for years now. So many good memories. What games would I like to see on the channel? I would like to see the return of The Sims. And I would love to see full LPs of Stardew Valley and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, because they are personal favorites. But I'll be watching no matter what you play. Much love to the Georg Corp family!
Here's to many more years of crazy shenanigans & memorable moments! You & Mal are some of the best people on the internet & that is not an exaggeration. You guys bring a lot of joy & laughter & all of it is appreciated!
It's so weird to think of some of your lets plays even from back in 2011 as your "old" content. I still see many of those series as modern, goes to show the effort for quality you put in even back then. Thank you for this last decade of content, finding you during my first year of highschool has undoubtedly changed my life for the better and gotten me through so many things. Here's to the future and all the wonderful content you will continue to make going forward. For the game I would love to see on this channel, its one I've been waiting to see for years as I followed both the game and you. That game is none other then Black Mesa and I look forward to you finally playing it someday.
I have been here since near the beginning and can say that I love your content. It has been a constant source of entertainment and honestly can't see my highschool years being the same without you. Thank you for these 10 years. As for what games to play, I would love to see you play a more recent pokemon game. It would be interesting to see you learn the different pokemon, their types, and be surprised by the evolutions. I think it would be a lot of fun
So I'm 1:45 into the video, and before I continue... Wait.. what?? Already??!! I feel like it was just a year ago that it was the 7th year.. O.O Also, just got goosebumps upon you saying the first project of the channel. Granted, I haven't watched your Portal series (YET), as I first got really into your channel around the time of your Let's Play of Minecraft (if I remember correctly). But man, oh man. 10 YEARS! A BIG heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to my favorite TH-camr!! (:
Happy 10 years! I've been here for 7 of them, and I can't believe how much you have done in that time period. As for what I'd love to see in the future, I think a whole Mother series Stephen & Mal playthrough would be amazing! (Even though you have played 1&2, but maybe not how would like to cover them now) It would probably get emotional as the series means so much to you two and so many of your fans.
I can't believe I've been watching you all for ten years now. I remember being an anxious kid on the internet leaving a comment once about how you and Mal helped me get through a sickness, and you responded so kindly. You are both wonderful people and I'm so glad you hit this milestone! Nothing but love!!
Congrats on 10 years! As someone who's been watching since 2012 it was quite the nostalgia trip for me as well to go over all these videos and remember where I was in my own life when they came out. Wishing you and Mal the best on your second decade!
First off, congrats on 10 years! You're definitely in my top 10 favorite TH-camrs and your personality is so pure and enjoyable that you've helped me through the darkest of times. Then, to answer your question at the end, some games I'd love to see are: - Pikuniku: Your First20 introduced me to the game and I ended up buying it when I noticed it was on sale. I then never played it... until a few weeks ago. It's very short, but incredibly charming and funny from start to end. The story is pretty basic (even I managed to understand it with my horrible concentration) but good regardless. - Mario Super Sluggers: Bit of an odd one, but we never got it in Europe, and none of the channels I watch have ever made a full LP on it. I'd love to see you tackle it, since the story seems pretty good. - Wii Fit: Come on, it'd be hilarious. - RollerCoaster Tycoon/Planet Coaster: Seems like a game you'd be able to make very enjoyable content of. - Pokémon Snap: Just imagine... a game where you don't have to have any Pokémon knowledge, but those hilarious Dex entries and drawings return. - Super Mario Odyssey: Galaxy is first though of course.
I never realized I've been watching this channel for much of its existence until you mention the Mario Kart Vs. series. I distinctly remember watching thise when they released, yet that's only in the channel's third year. I love so many of the Stephen and Mal series, but my favorite has to be Chulip. I didn't watch the series when the first few episodes because I had never heard of the game before that LP, but after a few episodes, I saw the thumbnails and thought "This game's art style has such a weird yet comforting aesthetic. I outta check it out." I watched a few episodes and I was hooked. Your commentary plus the game's inherent absurdity made it such a joy to watch. I made sure to watch every new episode during lunch at school whenever they released.
My favorite channel on TH-cam, and a big inspiration to every part of my life since I was a kid, thanks for getting me through some dark times in my life, and inspiring me to eventually try my own content. Here’s to another 10 years of one of the best let’s players in the world
I found out about this amazing channel around 6 years ago, and I couldn't be more thankful. Thank you for so many good memories, cheers for 10 incredible years!
I think most of my favourite LPs are with Mal because the chemistry between you two is *wonderful*. It's amazing to see the range of emotions, mostly joy, but also frustration, victory, sadness. RE6 is the one I am thinking of most when it comes to silly nonsense that I love, riffing on schlocky games is one of my favourite things to both do and watch hahaha. As for the future, I'd love to see a return of The Sims! What an incredible time that was, honestly. Such a great moment and it integrated the community a lot too.
Thank you Stephen, Mal and all the others for an amazing decade of content! I’m so glad I’ve gotten to be part of this community for so long! As for games, I’d love to see a co-op Earthbound LP! Have you and Mal switch off every episode since I’d like to see the both of you play it together, almost as a celebratory redux! That or even Mother 3! But I’m sure that no matter what the next game is, I’ll be there to watch 💜 thanks again for the 10 years and congrats!!
pikmin 2 is how i found you guys, and i'm so glad i did. i'm still surprised "spank the pig" isn't a memorable moment, but it's because of that series i started a side mini writing project of just taking memorable moments and writing them as if it was happenning in character to them all (a backburner project for when inspiration strikes, i have other big multi chapter projects to take care of too after all!) honestly i don't think i've stuck with a channel so consistently as i have stuck with you guys. you're consistent and play some games i just don't see much elsewhere. "captain my captain" is definitely on my list for memorable moments to write, and honeslty i have vivid memories of doing the exact same thing and i know i'm not the only one. ten years down. are we going on for another ten? a game i think would be a GREAT fit for this channel is chibi-robo. it has that Japanese weirdness to it like chulip, with a heart warming story and so many side stories too. i wouldn't care about 100% completion (frog ring/chibi door collection and stickers aren't important) but i think you guys would be the ones to do a fulfilling fun lp of it just as you're the only people i can watch play pikmin and still be actually entertained by.
Congratulations on this massive milestone. This channel and community has meant so much to me over the past several years and provided so much entertainment and much needed laughs. Here is to many more years.
I'm normally a bit of a lurker, but I started watching you near the end of the Minecraft letsplay! I've always said that StephenPlays was one of my favourite TH-cam channels because of all the work, effort, and love both Stephen, Mal, and friends, as well as the community, pour into this channel. Congratulations on 10 years, Stephen! Wishing you more amazing years to come!
Congrats on being around for 10 years! While I didn't watch the LP channel as much when I found your content, primarily being a vlog watcher, I do watch it more now and there are so many great memories associated with watching your videos!
Congrats on the 10 year anniversary! It's hard to believe that I recognize a majority of the thumbnails that you showcased here, even if I may not have watched the LP itself. Guess my age is probably showing here... And of the LPs I watched, I have so many moments that I can recall that I can't possibly categorize them as a single, favorite memorable moment. From the traditional classics like every "You just got a BlUe RuPeEeEeEe" to Mal poisoning you in Minecraft to potentially more niche moments like you freaking out to not dead splicers or charging Alpha Series from the Bioshock series to Mal singing "Thank you fruits" in RE6, asking me to choose one specific moment as an all time favorite is a bit daunting, to say the least. If there is one game that I would love to see you cover at some point, it may be a bit of a long shot, but if Hollow Knight appears on this channel other than a First20 you already did, that would really make my day. As of today, I played 274 hours of this game and counting and somehow, I haven't gotten bored of it. It's got a phenomenal story, an outstanding soundtrack, tight and fluid gameplay, and some memorable encounters. For an indie game (or any game for that matter, dare I say), it's absolutely fantastic.
wow!!! i started watching stephenplays in september 2011, i never noticed i joined in this channel's first year. i cannot believe how much ground you guys have covered with your insane release schedule, but I've found so many favorite games through your channel and I love your commentary and approach so much. Happy 10 years of the channel, Stephen and Mal!
I’m so glad this channel came as far as it did. I remember back watching your twilight princess videos years and years ago when I had just gotten into youtube. Truly great memories, and I can’t wait to see more.
Only suggestion for a game I got is the monster hunter series. Aside from that the obligatory congratulations that every has said and will continue to say And last but not least I liked the skyrim LP the most. It's actually my #1 game ever and I had a blast watching you experience it
Started watching you channel with Zelda twilight princess been watching on and off since. Literally a letsplayer I can't forget because you're so unique, congrats on 10 years. I can't wait to keep watching you grow!!
Congratulations on such an impactful decade. You and Mal have nurtured the best community on the internet, and as a humble viewer, there's no way I could possible repay my debt to y'all in gratitude. Y'all are incredible people Game recommendation as per your request at the end of this video: Final Fantasy VI. It's been a shown a couple times by SNES Classics and Extra Life, and there is no doubt in my mind that the audience would love and enjoy it. It's regarded as the best Final Fantasy by so many people, and the humour you brought to it in the few videos it has appeared in is unmatched. It's a long game, but dare I say it's as emotional of an experience as the Walking Dead, filled with enough varying personalities to make Earthbound or Chulip jealous, all while playing music you won't ever forget. The game tells a story you won't forget. My favorite moment: Seeing the thumbnail of the vlog video where you announced you'd be beginning Breath of the Wild. Butterflies every time. Here's to another decade.
Kind of: They’re using different parameters though, TRG’s anniversary was based on first video posted whereas this channel was made 10 years ago today but didn’t post a video until later on the 19th
Congrats on 10 years! The world’s best internet Grandparents have given me so many memories and smiles over the years and I’m excited for the future for whatever happens! I’d love to see you cover Okami just so Mal and you can gush over the art style!
I've been around since mid-to-late 2012, and your content has always been wonderful to see. Thanks for all of the entertainment, and here's to 10 more fun-filled years. And, since you asked, I'd just say that I'd love to see more Mario Party content, though I know, while possible, it's not easily doable until people are able to travel again. So for now, just keep doing what you're doing and being awesome. (Edit: Actually I just thought of another series that would be fun to see from you, that would be more realistic for the current circumstances than Mario Party, and that's Paper Mario. You did such a great job with SMRPG, and the times that you've covered Paper Mario on Extra Life have been incredibly entertaining.)
I’m not very vocal in your community, I’m much more of a lurker. But I feel like I’ve grown up watching your work. I started watching when I was a junior in high school, so I think I’ve seen most of what you have produced for 7 years now. It’s been an absolute blast. I remember driving home to eat lunch when I was in high school so I could watch the latest episodes of mario kart. Thank you for picking a job we all get to enjoy so much. -Bob
Congratulations to 10 amazing years of the channel! It’s been a wild, but fun ride, and both you and Mal have become my favorite youtubers. While I watch several different youtubers, especially Lucahjin, Your LPs have been some of the most fun and hilarious I’ve ever seen. The vibe and community you have accumulated from the Twitch streams over the past couple of years has been wonderful to be apart of, and Fridays have become my favorite day of the week, especially looking forward to what shenanigans you two get up to in Breath of the Wild lately. I first got into your channel with the final episode of leafgreen, trying to catch Mewtwo, mainly because Chugga was on it, who I was following already. I truly knew I stumbled onto something special, though, when I saw you were playing Twilight Princess. I enjoyed watching it so much, I binged the episodes that were already out, so I could catch up, and watch the new episodes that releasing. Some of my favorite moments came from this LP, and TP stands as my favorite LP...UNTIL the Breath of the Wild streams at least (TLoZ is my favorite game series if you couldnt tell). Well, this is getting a little long, so ill just end answering the question, what game I would like to see next. After rewatching the Mario Kart vs lp (another favorite of mine), Ive been craving another versus game/series. Its such a blast watching you and Mal compete. Weather it is Eathbound, or something else, I hope you do some vs soon.
Happy 10 years anniversary Stephen! I've only been here half the time of that, but you've always been a favourite youtuber of mine. And to think it started when I was asking for a good youtuber that have finished the Skyrim playthrough in a random threads in Google. Thanks to whoever that stranger was!
Congratulations on ten years! I found you through Assassin's Creed and Morning Mario and have (mostly) been here ever since. If you're looking for suggestions, Cat World: Bowser's Fury is at the top of the list, followed by Assassin's Creed 4, Skyward Sword, and a full playthrough of a Fire Emblem game.
I’ve watched you since I was 8 years old and your videos have been there for me for every up and down I’ve had in these last ten years. I’ll always appreciate and love everything you and mal have and will continue to put out, even if you don’t read this you’re channel means so so much to me, thank you both from the bottom of my heart :)
Congratulations on 10 years! I've loved watching so many of your videos I can't even count them all and I wish you and Mal all the best in the future. As for what game I might like to see you play next, I would vote for Dishonoured, and secondly, for Paper Mario: Color Splash. You absolutely do the best voices.
You're running great channels Stephen. Vlog and Plays together probably being the most wholesome channels in the gaming sphere of TH-cam. I'm hoping they both go for another decade and many more. As for a game I'd like to see in the future I don't have a specific one but I tend to enjoy more your projects that are a bit off the beaten path like Sims of Katamari split co-op. So I'll leave it up to you and I guarantee that as long as you have fun I'll enjoy the content.
I cant believe I've been watching you guys for over 10 years. you guys have brought me so so much fun and laughter over the years and even when ever I had a bad day I always knew I had a new episode of an lp or a vlog or something to watch. congrats to the entire stephenplays/vlog crew, and may there be many more years of hilarious video game hijinks to come
“And then the trauma really began: Pikmin 2” is actually how a lot therapy sessions get started
Here’s the ironic thing, I am watching through (at the tail end) that Let’s Play for something called neurofeedback. In short, the sessions do something with my brain so I am able to cope with certain sounds and not get as much anxiety.
Here's to the last 10 years(which feels like another world) and here's to another 10 years(which also feels like another world)
true as a... idk i'm not good at metaphors.
Hey Slughorn! Lmao 😅
Yes i agree, greatly looking forward to the next 10 years of stephenplays content! (~victoire)
Here here, though honestly we could skip 2020 and just pretend its been 9 years.
Truly the most interesting part about this his video is watching the evolution of the Thumbnails of the series. From just the logo, to the bar on the side, to the Stephen&Mal, to mal having her own logo... it’s a good indication of how much the channel has grown honestly!
i love the green border design! so simple yet memorable!
First TRG's 10th anniversary, now StephenPlays. I've turned 28 as of this comment. Where did time go???
Good Question.
Gosh, I'm turning 30...:D time does fly
First of all, happy birthday! Second of all, I KNOW, RIGHT??? I remember watching TRG back in 5th grade, and now I’m a freshman in college. 😮
Happy B-day! Time does work in mysterious ways. In certain moments it seems ultra-slow. But in retrospect, it seems to fly by.
10 years ago, I was in preschool.
For something to reach a decade on the internet it is a huge achievement. Congratulations! Here's to the next 10!
I started watching the Skyrim episodes but stuck with the channel ever since. By far one of my favouritte TH-camrs
Best Stephen Plays moment: “THESE ARE MY BARRY COINS!!!”
I was literally just thinking that!
What about WHO CHILD
@@LunaRayArclight OH SHOOT I FORGOT WHO CHILD!
Happy 10 years! Personally, I'd love to see the Ace Attorney games get covered on the channel. It'd be a great opportunity for you and Mal to flex your voices for different characters!
I still remember Mal throwing poison at Stephen in Minecraft.
Hi it's Priscilla I love you guys and I am making some paintings for you guys. - love Priscilla
It feels like this channel is older, seeing the list of early games makes me realise I've been around since almost the beginning
You deserve every single good thing coming your way. I've been here for 8 of said 10 years, and since then my life has changed so much. I owe a lot of my interests to you, Stephen. Thank you for being you, I'll always treasure you as a major part of my life, even though you might never read this comment
This is so interesting, I feel the same way. He was there while I was growing up, he's such a huge part of my life even though he doesn't know
10 years of silliness, loudness, and craziness...and it's still growing strong.
I remember VIVIDLY coming home from middle school when I was 13-14 ish and I couldn't wait to watch Twilight princess as it was coming out. Every series always put a smile on my face since I was 11 years old. Here's to another 10 years!
I haven't been keeping up with the vlog, so I'm assuming Stephen hasn't had a haircut since the outbreak started.
But please, KEEP THE MANE.
Part of me hopes he does, but i’m not sure how well he’ll be able to survive in south carolina
He said he'll probably keep it until Breath of the Wild is finished iirc lol.
correct now hes just like "Imma keep it til we finish zelda" on stream friday he sported a link ponytail
if I remember correctly Stephen said Mal had the final say on if it gets cut or not once breath of the wild is over, and possibly the next TRG colosseum. (I remember there being a deal for a donation.) and iirc Mal said it would get cut.
Yeah I noticed the same thing
Also chulip. That one is now one of my faves too
Man, 10 years. I feel old.
Found Stephen from Chuggaconroys youtube friend list back in 2011. Im glad I found Stephenplays. Always remember Sammy.
I've been waiting patiently for StephenPlays Assassin's Creed 4. There's a lot of fun mechanics added and I've been waiting to see your reaction to those.
I subscribed to him back when I was a kid in 2014 cause I wanted to see his reaction to AC 4 lol. We've certainly been waiting
Same
I've been watching since Grade school, now I'm in college.
Anyway, some of my favorite series would be:
The Pikmins, all of them.
Katamari Reroll, absolutely hillarious
Smash Ultimate, both WoL and Co-op classic.
Kirby: Star Allies was TONS of fun.
Congratulations on 10 years, and to hopefully many more!
So many amazing lets plays stephen, thank you for all the amazing memories. :)
I also would love to see Wind Waker, that is my favorite game of all time and I'd love to see you and Mal play through it.
Yes, Wind Waker is amazing.
This channel was my childhood and I'll always feel nostalgic coming back here.
Premieres at 5am for me though xD
Edit to answer end question: The Sims LP was short and sweet, and I’m really looking forward to seeing more eventually! Gah there’s one more that I can’t remember right now, I’ll have to add it when it comes up again!
Australia gang
I haven't had the chance to say it, but I never would've gotten into Half-Life, Portal, L4D, or Minecraft if not for Stephen.
Found this account in 2014 and have been a fan ever since. I love being here ❤❤
I've been waiting for Assassin's Creed IV since it came out.
Favorite LP is easily SMRPG, it was super fun listening to everyone's different voices you guys gave them, it was the birthplace of many memes during breaks and just really fun
Most memorable LP is Leafgreen as it was what introduced me to the channel, I came in around episode 32 and been here since, Keep it up! Happy 10 years
It’s actually insane to think that the minecraft let’s play started 9 years ago this channel is legit my childhood this is just crazy
Games I'd like to see:
Dragon Age: Inquisition - probably unlikely but it's my favorite game of all time. I'd also like dragon age 2. I can't get into Origins but it's a lot of people's favorite so would be fun to watch as well
Celeste - One of my favorites, probably would be fun as a stream game.
Ikenfell - worth at least a first 20 I think. Cool little rpg about a magic school with lots of cats and lots of secrets.
Any of the Supergiant games but especially Transistor.
Control - Super fun gameplay with lots and lots of lore to discover and piece together.
Now the sappy part:
I've been watching since Twilight Princess, I can't believe it's been so long since then.
I can’t believe it’s been 10 years! I remember when I found this channel back in the spring of 2013 and I was hooked! Congratulations on 10 years!
So from the bottom of my heart,
Thank you :)
That is the longest comment I have ever wrote
My favorite LP was probably your Pikmin 2 LP, i'm sorry for all that you guys went through but admittedly watching you lose your mind was peak entertainment :)
As for future projects, I'd love to see you do sequels to games that games you did a long time ago like God of War 2, Assassin's Creed 4, and the Last of Us Part 2!
And anyway, you did cover it on a First20, and you covered it remarkably well, and I can be happy with that.)
So. Yeah. Black Mesa. They're waiting for you, Stephen. In the *test chamberrrrr.*
Happy day, Stephen.
There's a few interesting games I'd like to see you guys check out
- Another Pokemon game (HGSS or SuMo/USUM)
Continuing where you left off for Pokémon, HGSS is often considered to be some of the best games in the series by fans.
The game legit feels like if a sprinkling of EarthBound got mixed into a Pokemon game, because the game's "trials", which replace Gyms in Alola, feel EXACTLY like Sanctuary Bosses in EarthBound.*
- Undertale (actually, not just a First 20)
You're a huge Mother Fan, you know Toby Fox, and you've still only seen a tiny bit of what this game has to offer.
- At Dead of Night
Quite a few horror-themed LPers played this game last month, but it'd be interesting to see a LPer who doesn't play as much horror games check this one out. It's a point-and-click FMV survival-horror game where you run around a hotel, and use a device to talk to ghosts to learn about the secrets of the crazy wooden bat-wielding psychopath chasing you through the hotel, and eventually save your friends and escape.
- Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (as a full LP,)
The First 20 with Emile was hilarious. I'd love to see you and Mal tackle this game together. I didn't think I'd like this game but it's VERY fun.
- Okami (as a full LP)
Zelda-like, amazing aesthetic, painting mechanic, tons of material for Mal to paint. You guys did a First 20, but a full LP would be really cool
- Luigi's Mansion series
Tackle all 3 games with Mal (or, at least 1 and 3, since Dark Moon might be harder to record). I'd love to see you two do Co-Op on Luigi's Mansion 3
- Superliminal (as a full LP with Mal)
Very fun, and very Portal-esque. The First 20 made me buy the game, and I'd love to see you play the rest.
So happy to be part of this journey with you. Thank you so much Stephen. Here’s to another 10! 😃
Also, just got goosebumps upon you saying the first project of the channel.
(Even though you have played 1&2, but maybe not how would like to cover them now)
It would probably get emotional as the series means so much to you two and so many of your fans.
Then, to answer your question at the end, some games I'd love to see are:
- Pikuniku: Your First20 introduced me to the game and I ended up buying it when I noticed it was on sale.
When it's 2021 and you feel like LPs you watched air were just a short while ago but were actually 8 years ago....
pikmin 2 is how i found you guys, and i'm so glad i did. i'm still surprised "spank the pig" isn't a memorable moment, but it's because of that series i started a side mini writing project of just taking memorable moments and writing them as if it was happenning in character to them all (a backburner project for when inspiration strikes, i have other big multi chapter projects to take care of too after all!)
honestly i don't think i've stuck with a channel so consistently as i have stuck with you guys. you're consistent and play some games i just don't see much elsewhere.
Aside from that the obligatory congratulations that every has said and will continue to say
And last but not least I liked the skyrim LP the most.
Y'all are incredible people
Game recommendation as per your request at the end of this video: Final Fantasy VI.
Stephenplays came out 2 days after TRG.
Kind of: They’re using different parameters though, TRG’s anniversary was based on first video posted whereas this channel was made 10 years ago today but didn’t post a video until later on the 19th
@@happypasta6 Yeah, if we’re talking about when it was created December 2 was their 10th anniversary.
