I bought an eyeshadow from Surratt to see if all the hype was true and I have to say it is. Nothing really compares. I just bought the powder and liquid blushes and they are just so elegant.
You look so beautiful! I love the hair, earrings, top (dress?) combo. It’s so elegant! I hope you got to go out somewhere fabulous after this video! But looking elegant for just you (and Smidge!) is great too! ❤ I haven’t tried much from Surratt because it’s expensive and I just wasn’t sure what to get, but I love, love, love the 2 powder blushes I have (Barbe a Papa and Tu Me Fais Rougir). I like the Souffle eyeshadow I have (Nuage D’Argent) but it’s just fine. I don’t love the formula. I wish I’d spent that money on a powder product. This was so helpful because now I know what to try next! I definitely want the bronzer in Soleil Doux. Your explanation of the eyeshadows made me want them asap. That’s where I’ll go next! The mascara is also interesting! The formula sounds great! Their packaging is so weird for no apparent reason. I think it makes it feel like a less luxurious experience. I do wonder why they chose to do the puffs on the liquid blush and foundation or the weird applicator on the other foundation. I also REALLY wish they come into 2024 and make their pans and palettes magnetic and not use stickers.
I definitely think the powder color products are the standouts. And I totally agree about the sticky pans. I forgot to mention that in the review. On the one hand, I think there is an attempt to use less plastic packaging in compacts because it is an artistry brand. And magnets are not recyclable for the most part. But the stickers are not a great solution for long-term use, especially if you move the pans around. We need more innovation here, I think!
I’ve long been interested in Surratt but haven’t yet tried anything… this review sent the brand to the top of my list! Thank you for such a thoughtful and considered video. Your content is some of my favorite, and has been especially great this year! I swear after every one I watch I’m adding more things to my ‘to try’ list. ❤
hi, thanks for the video. I can't decide which to buy, the Dew Drop Foundation or the Foundation Wand. Have you tried that one? I would love your opinion. I have a lot of texture, so I need the most blurring one...
My favourite thing about Fude is the history of the brushes. They were a craft originally making calligraphy brushes but as the art of calligraphy faded, the brush artisans began making brushes for cosmetic application. I really appreciate your deep dive into Surratt. I love the overall aesthetic of the brand. The components, the formulae and the performance are very well designed.
Thanks for such a thorough review of one of my favorite brands. I also have combo oily skin and Surratt’s Dew Drop foundation is one of the few that I can wear in hot, humid weather. One of the few repeat primer purchases is Surratt’s Perfectionista. It’s absolutely wonderful and it lasts a long time. It helps the foundation maintain its integrity during my more oily times. Thanks again.
Thank you💕. I removed the sponge tip applicator of my concealer and blushes, and they worked fine for me; this way it is less messy , and I could control the amount of the product I want to use.
I can't believe I've only found your YT channel now. I follow you on IG and love your content over there. I love Surratt and think this is one of the few smaller luxury beauty brands that along with their higher price point, has high-end, sleek packaging, along with the quality of their products being excellent. I definitely have some key Holy Grail products that are Surratt! So glad you did this thorough review. Thank you Bekah! You are so right that their powder products are definite stand out products. I have Beyond Beige and it's my most used palette in my collection. My fav product from Surratt is also the auto-graphique liner ! I love the tip, bc it works like calligraphy. Ha ha, we have similar tastes. I also love the Brown. It's my most used liquid liner on the daily.
There’s something very special about the Surratt eyeshadows, they are so different to anything else I’ve ever used and they will always be my favourite. I’m talking about the powder eyeshadow, which I’ve been using since they first came to the UK. I’ve plenty of eyeshadows and palettes but I don’t know what they do that makes them so different in such a perfect way.
I love full brand reviews. They are so great to watch before making a purchase. I have been wanting to try Surratt for the last couple of years now. So far I have tested the Noir Lash Tint and the Smokey Eye Baton. I think my next purchases might be the Artistique Blush Duo in Barbe a Papa and the Torche Lumiere in Diamante.
Love the elegance of this brand. Wish I could experience their products in person before purchasing. The noir lash tint is perfection! When I go to remove after 10-12 hrs, I am amazed how great the mascara looks and agree that it maintains curl on my short stubborn Asian lashes. Your look today is gorgeous. Can’t wait to try their powder eyeshadows and blushes. Thanks for the great review Bekah! ❤ I would love to see a brand review of Violette FR.
Always so interested in picking up more Surratt! But I love the Barbe a Papa liquid blush I have from them. I’ve considered popping off the sponge tip-if you’re applying to the back of your hand first anyway, you might try that out, too?
I've been curious about Surratt for a while, but i haven't been able to find somewhere to view it in person! Actually a couple times when I've asked about it at department stores in the beauty section, they have never heard of the brand 😆. For video ideas, I feel that a lacking area on TH-cam is more classic makeup brands (instead of Sephora exclusive brands and celebrity brands). For example Clinique, Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier, and Bobbi Brown. I want to explore those brands more this year.
This came at the perfect time! I just got my first Surratt purchase 3 days ago. I got the powder blushes in Chaleur and Barbe a Papa. It was love at first application, so now I’m very interested in trying more from the brand. As an almost daily liquid liner wearer, I definitely need to check out their liner. Have you ever tried the Charlotte tilbury supernudes eyeshadow palette? It is different from her other matte eyeshadow formula, and I wonder how similar it feels to the Surratt shadows. It’s probably my favorite matte formula.
The powder blushes really are so stunning. Glad to hear you’re enjoying! I haven’t tried the super nudes palette unfortunately, only familiar with the regular CT formula
I love this video so much I've watched 3 times. 😂 thank you! Do you know if the powder products have a magnetic back or do they only pop into the Surratt containers?
This question is a bit late so you might not see it, but just in case! I am very interested in the dew drop concealer, and I think I have a similar skin type to you: do you have a sense of how well it does on is own, without a face of foundation? I really enjoyed this video, and it's made me remember i have a couple of Surratt eye products that i should get more use from!
It's a fantastic concealer on its own! I've worn a full face of concealer only, no foundation, and it wears so nicely. It really grips to the skin, so it doesn't break down or migrate.
Hi i think you can just rip off the sponge on the blush. Thats what i did with the maybelline age rewind concealer and the flower beauty highlighter and basically anything that comes with that cursed sponge.
I love the dew drop foundation. It is my only foundation atm. And my love made want to try the blushes. What a disappointment. The packaging is flimsy and the product was out of it several times. It’s so cheap that even drugstore packaging is better let alone $45. The colours are nice and buildable. However, one of them faded on me several hours later. Definitely not worth it in my opinion. Pretty colours though.
Yeah, it’s confusing. I forgot to mention this in the video but when I was first buying Dew Drop I had to exchange shades once or twice because the undertones do run really warm and peachy. Shade range and accuracy is one of the major improvements I’d like to see in the brand overall, especially as an artistry brand.
Perhaps not the point but these earrings are EVERYTHING on you ✨✨✨
Ah thank you! They’re some of my favorites 🤍
I bought an eyeshadow from Surratt to see if all the hype was true and I have to say it is. Nothing really compares. I just bought the powder and liquid blushes and they are just so elegant.
Pretty earrings, Bekah. They look lovely on you.
Thank you!
I love your detailed reviews and I love Surratt as well! Thanks for the in depth descriptions - esp of products that I have not yet tried.
Love their beyond beige palette

Their products seem so elegant and effortless. Love the look you have created 😍

Yes! Such an interesting history. So glad you enjoyed 🤍
Those earrings are gorgeous!
Thank you! They’re some of my favorite 🥰

Ooh, good to know about the primer. I haven’t seen many reviews of it so I’m glad to hear it’s good!
Thank you💕. I removed the sponge tip applicator of my concealer and blushes, and they worked fine for me; this way it is less messy , and I could control the amount of the product I want to use.
Oh that’s really helpful to hear! I’ve been nervous to do that for fear of product leaking out. But maybe I’ll give it a go.

Thanks , this review really helped me decide . I bought several eyeshadows, and blushes too. 👋🏼
So happy to hear you found it helpful!

I love doing brand reviews! So glad to hear you enjoy. Even in creating the videos I notice new things. Smoky eye baton is next on my list!
I absolutely love the brand so much and looks so beautiful on you ❤
Thank you! 💓
Your makeup looks amazing! Also, those earrings!
Thank you! 💕

Oh yes, Violette is on my list for brand reviews! I’ve tried a lot of their stuff so I think I could do that relatively easily.
Always so interested in picking up more Surratt! But I love the Barbe a Papa liquid blush I have from them. I’ve considered popping off the sponge tip-if you’re applying to the back of your hand first anyway, you might try that out, too?
I’ve considered it but I’m a little worried that the product might leak out without it!
this was so informative and helpful!!!
My lipslique queen 💓

So curious about their powder products especially how they compare to my other j beauty powders.
I love this video so much I've watched 3 times. 😂 thank you! Do you know if the powder products have a magnetic back or do they only pop into the Surratt containers?
Unfortunately they’re not magnetized. They have a little sticker on the back, so they could technically work in non-Surratt palettes.
And thank you for watching! 🥰☀️

nice earrrings
thank you!
My favorite powder blush is the Surratt one. Less of eyeshadows, they don't last on my eyelids.
As an oily eye lid person, I empathize!
I’ve never heard of the brand before this review, sorry to find the lash tint is out of stock. Very out of stock searched other options as well 😢
Yes, I think they’re having stock issues but I did check and it’s not being discontinued. Hopefully it returns soon!
Are the foundations good for combo mature skin?😊
I think so, yes!
Hi i think you can just rip off the sponge on the blush. Thats what i did with the maybelline age rewind concealer and the flower beauty highlighter and basically anything that comes with that cursed sponge.
The cursed sponge! You’re right. Other people have mentioned that in comments too. I just get nervous about product dribbling out!
I love the dew drop foundation. It is my only foundation atm. And my love made want to try the blushes. What a disappointment. The packaging is flimsy and the product was out of it several times. Wacky foundation shade range.
