A family without a father is still a family

Hey Single Roses!🌹I hope you all are doing well! :) Recently Eboni K. Williams announced that she is a single mom choice. Many people are criticizing her decision, but as a woman who is childfree by choice, I completely understand why a woman with resources would make this choice. Her decision is a reminder to all women that we have so many choices! We do not have to live our lives the way society sees as appropriate. We can do what makes us happy, regardless of how anyone feels about it. 💅🏾

I appreciate your sentiments on a child being raised without a father. I enjoy it when you talk about being child free and also others being single parents by choice on both sides. I just turned 30 and decided to be childfree at 27 due to the risks of being a single parent even if I was married. To me it’s NOT enough for a child to grow up with one parent. I wouldn’t want to have my nonexistent child to grow up in a family that is not complete. Nothing is guaranteed even if you are married because I’ve heard a lot of couples with children divorce and the children have to grow up in separate homes. I most likely would be the main one responsible for the upbringing of that child after I’ve gone through hell with pregnancy and childbirth. The best way for ME to avoid it is to not be married OR have children PERIOD. My nonexistent children are too good for the suffering that we have to go through in this life. I came from a family of broken home without a dad for the first several years of my childhood being raised by a single mom. That’s not a life that I would choose on purpose. My mom and I have a very close bond as well the love trust and respect for one another as all families should.
