Sandra D i like them both as dancers- they are fantastic- and they seem lovely but I always thought he was gay. Although this was 2016 before the 2017 announcement
They weren't getting divorced when the interview was done, but it was screamingly obvious even then that he was gay. Tiler is a great dancer but sort of... naive.
It's hard for me to understand why Robbie would pretend to be straight, in the process devastating a young woman, when there is no shame in the ballet world for homosexuality. The ballet world is completely accepting and supportive of the LGBT community. Robbie would not have experienced discrimination if he were honest from the start about his sexuality.
True that there is no shame in the ballet world to be gay but he was probably planning a career beyond ballet at the time. Ironic that the first big break he got, outed him.
