the korean goverment has nothing to do with the kpop idols, each company is independant and has their own set of rules set for their idols to follow, seventeen are signed under , pledis ent [ HYBE] so they follow their rules , not the goverment
I don’t know if you already knew but: It was supposed to be 17 when the name was chosen but they ended up being 13. But to keep it consistent: 13 members + 1 voice team + 1 rap team + 1 performance team + 1 group together = 17 🙌 I really like your reaction and your analysis! 🇫🇷👌
Welcome back!! So excited to see what other content you make. AND YES YOU NEED TO REACT TO MORE SVT STUFF CUZ ITS FIRE 😩even their Japanese stuff. Anyway this isn’t my fave comeback but they surely did amazing :D I laughed out loud at your shocked expression and the zoom in🤣that always cracks me up lol Classic “:V wtf??” 😂haha love you man. And thanks for your honesty as usual!
yooo I missed you!! I personally think Seventeen are always trying to communicate and relate to their fans through songs, especially in their second title track "F*ck My Life" where they talked about wanting to find their true self in this damned world. You should give it a listen! Also I would love to see your reaction to their killing voice video! much love
Loved your reaction! I would like to point out though that the only control in kpop comes from the different companies in which the groups are trained. Seventeen had a very hard beginning since their company was small and almost bankrupted but it gave them a great creative freedom. They are wodely known as the first entirely self produced group. Their success was key to the financial growth of the company. They've been involved in the creative process of their lyrics, their music, their choreographies, also creating two of their music videos, merchandise and more. They are actually very free in what they do and very open about their creative process. This is why their music is so unique. The guy sitting on the human throne at the very beginning, Woozi, is their main producer, composer and lyricist, recognized as a musical genius in rhe industry. I think I've rambled enough, i'm sorry for this loooong comment! If you want to have a sneak peak into some of their songs you can react to Seventeen Killing Voice, which has excerpts from many of their songs. Love from an Italian Carat mom 💙🇮🇹💎🙋🏻♀️
Hii hope you are doing well! Loved you’re review on this. I would love to recommend August D AMYGDALA MV it just came out they other day. It’s a very personal song talking about his hardships and depression and about asking his AMYGDALA which is part of the brain that processing fearful and threatening stimuli to save him. Glad to see you back!
Correct me uf i am wrong, but Kpop is not government run. Its run buy different independent companies, but they all have their own goal to be successful and make money of course. And the Korean government approved of it because they want to spread Korean culture and enhance tourism and stuff. So how a Kpop group is "controlled" very much depends on what company they are under and what policies they have. I am not not a full Carat yet ( I am working on it haha) but as I understand Seventeen came from a smaller company and hade to work hard as a group and together with the staff of the company to make it in the industry. So many kpop groups never make it past the 1 year mark and it can be an incredible tuff situation. And Korea is very "hard working" in general in all areas, so resting and mental health has not been a priority in a lot of jobs there. It is slowly getting better but there is still a long way to go. 😢
Definitely - check out more Seventeen - their lyrics generally are very powerful, this being a hype track still having some really meaningful lyrics, that's just how Seventeen does things. I saw recommended the Killing Voice and I definitely thing that's a great thing to look at for sure, gives kind of a broad overview of their career discography, although it doesn't demonstrate some of their sides as well as others, it is still so great to get an idea of their energy and vibe overall. I've made a couple of playlists you might like checking out to get to know Seventeen more - First is a Seventeen Killing Voice Playlist - it will introduce you to every song they perform on the Killing Voice, with dance practices/MV/performance and lyric videos as needed. A good way to go through and get to Killing Voice without getting Spoilered on those songs if that's what you'd want to do. Another fun way could be watching Killing Voice first and then getting a context on the songs in full. th-cam.com/play/PL7dHAg5HO1ExY4YComTOE-fjm_nwayjsO.html The other one is an "Iconic Seventeen Choreo for New Carats" - this I made because I had some friends getting into Seventeen by listening to the music first, and some songs make a different kind of impact when you see the choreo (especially when it's Seventeen) - so I thought of what some (obviously not ALL) "mustn't miss" type performances/choreo were and included that here: th-cam.com/play/PL7dHAg5HO1EyLSorytthWl_dQzdgFTbOw.html
손오공 is Goku from Dragon ball z in Korean Now I wish I could explain everything here but I have never watched it and my English is not the best in situations like this but itsANDYandJAS made a reaction and explained it so well from the lyrics to choreography which made me appreciate the song even more :) Here’s a few Seventeen songs that I think you would really like: Fear Getting Closer Cheers Change Up Trauma

this is their first performance only mv, but other performance heavy mvs (not including performance unit ones lol) that you might want to check is hit (it was a prerelease to fear and if you like the dark/harder stuff from seventeen then also maybe check that out loool), getting closer( bside first performed at mama) and one of their japanese singles 24H (it's shouldnt have any copyright issues as it's distributed by pledis themselves)
