    I got this pedal about a year ago, and I love it! ...I don't have the Real one(Nor the money to buy one), so I can't say how they compare. You should get the Dualgun also. Thanks for this video demo!

      Thanks for the comment brother! The original one is ridiculously overpriced. What could be better, when these are widely known electronic circuits? Maybe component tolerances. Because this one is made with very good components honestly. It does the trick! I do have an original duellist though.

    I have the feeling that with only Klon at the begining it sounded kind of Queen's sound...like classic bryan may kind a thing. Great great review! Loved it! I will try those setups when I get it to see how it goes.

    That really sounds incredible. I definitely have mixed feelings about these clones. Not a fan of supporting companies that copy so blatantly, but I can't deny they sound so good for such a fraction of the cost. I had tried the Dual Gun against the Duellist and they were almost identical in tone. A lot of people say, "Oh, just buy the real thing". Well most of us can't afford $400-500 for a boutique pedal. Especially when nearly the same exact tones can be had for less than a 5th of the price. I actually have a Klon clone from Wish that I have tried to replace with more boutique high end pedals (Tumnus, Mjolnir, etc) but it just sounds better than them to me. I guess there is an argument that these boutique pedals are clearly overpriced if they can be copied so precisely for so much cheaper. And clones are such a gray area since everyone copies everyone these days.
    At the end of the day, if this is all you can afford, then I say enjoy rocking out. Thanks for the great demo.

      Most times in this era, “the real thing” is ALSO a clone. Most pedals nowadays are clones of other things. There is absolutely no original designs. The thing is they most people seem to be bothered because the demon fx stuff copy the aesthetics as well. But they don’t seem to complain when they have an original painting or graphic on the pedal… but they forget that, inside, it is still a tube screamer(insert pedal here)….

    • @BrySquatch
      @BrySquatch 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yup, if they just changed the front graphic it’d be no different from every other clone style pedal out there. I mean, the original Gravity pedal is just a clone of a TS and a Klon with the name taken from a famous song. Not exactly the most original concept in the world.
      Anyway, the important part is it sounds killer. Just ordered one! Maybe I’ll put a sticker over the logo 😅

    @komobabo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

    I have never understood the hate on "copy" pedals. There is only so many ways to distort your pickups to get different sounds. The reality is these circuits are DIRT CHEAP and the "original" pedal manufacturers just use your emotions to sell you on that it is "special" because they made it when they know for a fact they took the design from someone else.

    • @argbluesman
      @argbluesman  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      So, the original gravity doesn’t copy someone else’s circuit? Every single pedal made today is a copy of something else. Nobody innovates. The tube screamer and the Klon are probably the most copied circuits on this planet. Also it’s not needed to get the original gravity. With a simple tube screamer and a simple Klon circuit you’re good to go.

      @@AntonioLopez-bc6qg I understand what you’re saying. They copy layout and graphics.
      But the pedals on your pedalboard (and mine, and everyone’s) copy circuits to the T. They change one resistor and claim it’s an original design, when in reality they didn’t invent anything, and the insides of the pedal are the same as many, many others. But I understand what you’re saying. It’s just that focusing on graphics when everyone rips off circuits every single day and try to sell it to us as something new is a little strange. There’s very little originality in any of today’s pedals. They are all copies of copies of copies. The fact that they change layouts or paint the enclosures differently doesn’t make them less of a ripoff…

      @seanjones8623 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@AntonioLopez-bc6qg Certainly not hating that you love the pedal and that you would use it. Totally right that pedals are basically copies of each other at this point, especially overdrives. That being said, my feelings are in line with @argbluesman. I wouldn't use or purchase more because they copied the name, graphics, layout etc to the point that it feels more lazy at best and kind of dirty at worst. However that's just my personal feeling and no real moral stance on it. In the end, to each their own, and if you have fun playing it and it gets you the tones you're looking for, then rock on!
