Surprised that you left out: 1) Glynn Turman (played Nate Person, a rather significant member of the cattle drive and also afterwards); 2) Christina Raines (played Lucinda Zendt, Levi's wife, another big part in this production); Alex Karras (played Hans Brumbaugh, the VolgaDeutsch farmer, another major role); 4) Cliff DeYoung (played John Skimmerhorn, another major role in the production); 5) Rafael Campos (played "Nacho" Gomez, another big part in the cattle drive and also afterwards); 6) Kario Salem (played Mike Pasquinel, who had as big a role as his brother, Jacques, who you did mention); 7) Jesse Vint (played Amos Callendar, another big part in the cattle drive and later). Also others worth mentioning that you left out.
I loved this miniseries. I watched it many times. I love this. The question isn’t who was in Centennial. But who wasn’t. Completely. The best ever. Right down to the ending. With. Merel Haggard. Wouldn’t you know. Haggard whom I loved would. .be a part of something this great, Thanks for making this. Centennial. Was and remains. The best ever.
FOOT NOTE = I WAS IN COLO WHEN THEY WERE FILMING = WENT TO ORCHARD COLO THE NEXT MORNING AFTER SNOW SCENE WAS FILMED = POTATO FLAKES WERE STILL ON GROUND NEXT TO TRAIN TRACKS = MEMORIES WILL NEVER DIE = I WILL REMEMBER FOREVER = JUST "LIKE THE ROCKS " TO QUOTE THE MOVIE
Nor will I! It was terrifying! That poor woman, Alice Grebe, who went completely mad and killed most of her children. However the farmers (the newcomers) were 100% responsible for this environmental disaster. The locals told them time and again NOT to plough selions in straight lines but in undulating patterns so that the soil would not erode. They wouldn't listen. Our species is so bloody stupid.
Special to see those still with us....that mini series was one of the 70's so best...and many more too....there was this time 'network' TV so tried for better...from Roots to Rich Man Poor man, Captains and the Kings...today we get the HBO trash TV so leading with sexuality...there are so many stories yet need be told .....
@@robertlannon This one by far , in my humble opinion, was the absolute best .. Just finished the series again on “Stars” for the 50th time !! I’m envious of the story and characters … to have lived in those times ❤️❤️❤️
And "only the rivers run for all the days" . . .A great novel translated into a great tv series. Read the book twice way back when . . as well as most of Michener's other works . . .
I didn't know Lynn Redgrave passed away. I guess we all got older. I was glued to my TV set when Centennial was first shown, as I am now while it is being reshown on cable. Great series.
Daltons Oliver Seccombe ended real tragic with his suicide. I felt so sorry for the character. He wasn't a real villain, just a misguided man who defended his dream with violence but had the feeling in the end that he failed completely.
You know how the characters "aged" in the series? It would be cool to compare how "Hollywood" aged them in the series, vs how they looked, aging in real life.
Centennial Part 1: Ah yes! I remember. Everyone said,"Pasquale! He smells!" Everybody had that on a t-shirt you could get with a Pet Rock. Did you get one, too? Buffum's in the Glendale Galleria totally had them!
You left Pernell Roberts off your list. He played General Asher. We haven’t forgotten him! You shouldn’t either. Handsome Adam Cartwright/Trapper John among many roles.
Hello Julie, thank you for watching the video. There were so many great actors that I couldn't name them all. I had to make choices. Sorry but I hope you enjoyed it. Moreover, on my channel you can find the bonanza series where Pernell Roberts is well quoted. See you soon.
missed a few but still nice. Are you sure that's a 2020 photo of Stephanie Zimbalist? seems like I saw that photo of her about 10 years ago. i know she is quite elusive lately...

Brilliant performance by Conrad!
Superbe Série , dans un espace naturel magnifique . Une épopée , une histoire , trés bien interprétée 👌.
My absolute favorite movie/ miniseries

Excelente serie la he visto cuando era un niño.
Imperdible y agradecido testimonio. Gracias!!.
I'm almost through with the book. It has been an amazing journey. The miniseries here looks pretty good. Well cast. I'm going to look for it.
Im reading Centennial now and I think it's an amazing book. I am going to look for the mini series when I am done
I watched this series it's great.
What a good memory we watch it in Saudi Arabia I was little boy 👦 💙 😢
I'll never ever forget the episode about The Dust Bowl...

Es la serie.mas.bonita que he visto
Leí la novela de James A. Michener .
Y esta serie es una gran producción que se asemeja mucho a la novela.
Yes. I also enjoyed both very much.
Quisiera verlo en Netflix

Where’s Christina Raines? She only played Lucinda after all, a fairly prominent character.
She might not have wanted to share a current picture.

Merci. Ha.... Les outrages du temps. 🍀
por que no la reproducen para las nuevas generaciones que escuchamos de esta magnifica serie

Cliff de Young would like a word.

Barbara Carrera the most beautiful gal ever
Wow, they are all dead. A reminder of how fast time flies.
Not _all_ of them are dead!
timless characters,so sad to see many gone
Dode se puede ver la serie completa
Some of them looked better in their old days then they did back then.
Dónde se puede conseguír la serie completa en español. Está muy buena esta serie.

Cette musique est fatigante
What does "fatigante" mean? Does it mean "not appropriate"? Then I completely agree.
