Hill hold assist n hill descent control both r different things Manish n pallavi, one assists while u r moving up on steep hight, it prevents ur car from rolling back n the other helps ur car n keeps it in control while u r descenting a steep incline in hilly areas.

We were right here last year exactly around this time. While you complained (just like rest of us) of Darjeeling being crowded, people these days tend to stay in offbeat (albeit not anymore, I guess) locations like Lamahata, Takdah, Tinclulay, Peshok. You passed thru all these places on your way to Gangtok. The drone shots were from Peshok Tea Garden. All said the location of your stay at Ghum was awesome. The Royal Kanchenjunga and toy trains spiralling Batasia Loop at one view -amazing!
This was just the first stay however we are in love wity Darjeeling and Sikkim area. I am sure our future journeys will pass through these areas again with more experience for offbeat locations 🥰

@9:40 I think both Hill Hold and Hill Descent could be two different things. As far as I know hill hold is when we are ascending and have to start accelerating from zero, a.l.a. traffic situation, in that case the vehicle gives you 2 seconds to change foot from break pedal to accelerator pedal. Till that time, it will hold your vehicle in place.
Better to avoid HDC over longer stretches while going downhill. The brakes can really heat up and may fail to stop the vehicle during an emergency. Its better to engage the manual drive mode and manually shift and retain the gear on 1 and 2 as needed, this will apply engine braking and minimize the use of brakes downhill

Those drone shots are simply awesome!! Did you guys went to Ravangla? You can plan Tsomgo Lake once Manvi is more than 5 years old. Btw, Hill Decent Control still heats up the brakes though with ventilated disks it will heat up less, so its always better to use engine braking/ lower gears while going downhill.

However we made it to Baba Mandir hence Peling is in our bucket list for West Sikkim area. Hope to cover Ravangla that time and North Sikkim as well. Hello I follow your channel. I am a vet doctor ,just an advise hope you are keeping some medicines for PIXIE as well since you travel long journeys. If not prepare a medicine box in case you need any help on her health issue during your journey please free to call.
We did get her checked up with our Bangalore doctor before travel and full vaccination for this year. She did travel to Ladakh and we just kept Oxygen cylinder for her in case of emergency but with god grace and all luck she is a well traveller baby. You may want to suggest meds which I can carry along however the ones we keep is Beaphar Mutivitamins, Kalk, Biotin, HD Tablets plus dentastix as treat. We do carry Royal Canin Mother Starter (She loves) mix with Pedigree

Ek sher hai ek admi dusre admi se bole ki shadi ke pehle bhi sher tha aur shadi ke baad bhi mein sher hoon pharg hai ki shadi ki baad bala sheer ke upar maa durga betha hai manish ji ke liye
They do allow personal cars. It has to be an SUV with at least 190 mm of ground clearance. Do not listen to locals they never support personal cars because their business is getting affected. Just go to the permit office in Gangtok and talk to the concerned person.
