In fact, a ring dam has been constructed in Ismailpur Bind Toli of Gopalpur block, due to which many areas of Navgachia remain safe from floods. But the pressure of water was such that the part between touch number 7-8 of the dam got washed away in water. After that the scene was such that there was curiosity among the people.

भागलपुर के नवगछिया में लोगों के बीच उस समय अफरा तफरी का माहौल बन गया. जब अचानक से इस्माइलपुर बिंद टोली के समीप बने रिंग बांध का एक हिस्सा ध्वस्त हो गया. दरअसल गोपालपुर प्रखंड के इस्माइलपुर बिंद टोली में रिंग बांध का निर्माण कराया गया है, जिससे नवगछिया का कई इलाका बाढ़ से सुरक्षित रहता है. लेकिन पानी का दबाव ऐसा पड़ा की बांध का स्पर्श संख्या 7 -8 के बीच का हिस्सा पानी में बह गया. उसके बाद नजारा ऐसा था कि लोगों के बीच कोताहूल मच गया
