I have to admit that SFO Int'l Airport is a top tier UA hub as a mega world class airport. Unlike LAX, O'Hare, and Newark, nah, they have some struggles.
@@VirtCamSFO is working on one of their runways now. It delayed my flight in and I almost missed my international flight out. I heard it’s been delaying many arrivals daily, it’ll be nice if they warned us about this.
From my research I think no matter what you have to recheck your bag if you're coming from international and connecting to USA. I've done an international flight that connected in Canada and they automatically sent my bag to the connecting plane. I should fly out of Canada from now on because this seems like it can be a hassle and very likely miss your flight.
Back on late October 2023, United Airlines began non-stop flights from San Francisco to two Asian destinations and vice versa. The two destinations served by UA from SFO as a hub are Taipei (TPE) and Manila (MNL). I'm Filipino, but my aunt who is also Filipino was recruited as a teacher in one school in San Mateo County, well in the county seat, Redwood City. If she comes back home in Manila, maybe she'll take a UA (instead of PAL) flight from SFO to MNL.
Thanks for this! I'm quite anxious of new places and your video gives me a lot of confidence on my upcoming trip. Wanted to ask though, how was the distance from the baggage carousel to the baggage drop for connecting flights? Wondering if I should get a cart, heard it is 8 dollars but your video shows that it is free. Thank you!
@@VirtCam thank you! I am 4'11'' and worried about carrying and dragging my heavy check-in luggage to the drop off. I'll do as advised and request for help. Thank you!
@@VirtCam very likely 2027 for a partial opening of NMIA and it should be fully open by the end of the 2020s decade. Only when fully open is when the other UA hub airports should have direct Manila flights.
I want to see other US airports get direct flights to Manila using the New Manila International Airport. I expect Atlanta to be the furthest direct flight to and from Manila-NMIA. The Airbus A350 has the range capabilities to handle a direct Manila-Atlanta flight. If the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok is allowed direct flights to the US, I would expect the furthest direct flight to and from Suvarnabhumi to be Washington-Dulles, also with an Airbus A350. I think there should be direct flights between major US cities and the Suvarnabhumi Airport.

I agree with you

Thanks for the compliment
Awesome video! I will go through international arrivals there next month, great to see how smooth the process looked.

Yes! Can you do please Austin Bergstrom International Airport Arrival.
California people move fast even compared to the east coast. 🙏 Welcome back 🎉
Beer! 🍻
Is 2:45hrs enough for a layover and check-in from Terminal 1 to 2?
Yes unless your flight becomes delayed

Hey thats pretty good actually
Welcome back to North America!
Do u have take your checked luggage up to check in and recheck or is there a bag drop?
This will be me in a few months (minus the CBP inspections)…
4:12 Do you have Global Entry? The Customs and Border Officers have rarely asked me questions after I enrolled in Global Entry.
I do not yet. Always such a long line that’s why
Wheres the baggage drop of united airlines for connecting flights?
Hi. Do I need to get my luggage to go to immigration? Because I need to transfer to domestic flights.
Did you have to recheck in your bags? I’m flying from Japan to SFO connecting to Arkansas
Yes I did because I changed airlines. But I am not sure if you will have to collect the baggage if you are staying on same airline.

There is a bit of a walk depending on your ability to be mobile you may consider requesting assistance from one of the airport staff

Once NMIA opens, every UA hub should have direct flights to Manila. SFO, LAX, DEN, IAH, ORD, IAD, EWR.
They probably will but how many years do we need to wait for that to happen
