Yeah, every day I dont read my scriptures... I feel like a Hole.... A big Hole... Even do I enter TH-cam, watch a movie, read a book. I just cant feel ok with Myself.
I guess thats what the profets mean with doing the "simple things".
When reading The Book of Mormon, i feel peace, but most important, i feel prepared to start a new day.

Yes, you definitely got your point across, that people will be lost without the true gospel in the book of Mormon! I don't have a specific favorite at the moment, but I really like the chapters in 3rd Nefi that tell the events of Christ visiting the Nephites!

@@CalledtoShare Thanks, so these people are mormons and they were attempting humour I think is what you are saying. I could not work it out as it looked to me could have gone both ways.
Actually maybe you can help.
Before the pandemic we had some missionaries over here in the UK from somewhere south in the American Bible Belt. They gave me a little blue book as said 'all I need to do to know that this religion is true is, to read that blue book fully and sort of pray about it'.
I didn't really know what to do so they say you pretend you are talking to their god as if he was in the same room.
So it took months and it was as dull as dish water as they say but I ploughed through regardless.
I was stopping and doing this weird talking to myself to ask if it was true.
Any thoughts please?

I'll be honest, I've felt something similar at times with prayer - as far as feeling like I'm talking to myself.
However, part of faith is believing. I love this scripture in the Book of Mormon in Mosiah 4:9 which says:
Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend.
And again, believe that ye must repent of your sins and forsake them, and humble yourselves before God; and ask in sincerity of heart that he would forgive you; and now, if you believe all these things see that ye do them.
I think we need to have faith that there is a God, and be humble enough to ask him the desires of our hearts.
@@CalledtoShare Yes I do have a copy and I've fully read it and am just totally unconvinced and so am unable to believe the claims in the book.
@@CalledtoShare I feel that you have just quoted parts of your book at me and I don't see how that is useful to anyone. I cannot take that book seriously anymore so please why should I care what a book says. It would be different if you (or anyone) could prove a god, no one can do that so we just have old books.
I remain unconvinced and wished that for once someone had a good reason to believe other than childhood indoctrination.
