I remember back 5 years when the two of you were sailing Ran down the West coast of North America and you announced that your crew was increasing by one. That seems like only yesterday. Vera is such a precious child. Happy springtime.
Johan is one of the hardest working men I've ever seen. Vera is adorable and Malin is the kind of wife and partner men dream of having. You all are wonderful people.
What a fantastic role model family ! You foster emotional and psychological well-being among your viewers , promote responsible behavior, and encourage individual as well as collective growth. Thank you so much! 🙏
Vera posing against the boat then with the football was hilarious :-D she has a very well developed sense of humor :-) she is starting to become the star of the show 😀 It is also exciting to see the square wheels taking shape!
It's mind-boggling the magnitude and scale of this build. I stand utterly in awe of your determination, skill, planning and hard work. Knowing that you built her, every inch yourself, as she takes you around the world will make climbing Mount Everest look like child's play.
"This feels dangerous!" No kidding ‼️ 👍🏻 Great work guys and great episode. 😊🎉 Limit forward to how you actually turn the hull. See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
You’re not ‘just’ building a boat…you’re building everything you need to build a boat! Those are (continued) long physical working days for J, but at least the weather is warm and pleasant, and it seems as a family you are good at taking breaks for together time, excursions, etc. Not easy to balance with such a massive project… your future home developing right on your current home. Well done!!
Aside from the build, lovely to see another multilingual 4 1/2 year old. We have a tri-lingual one at home, and the way they mix languages in one sentence is just glorious.
OMG, little Miss V is a freaking heartbreaker all ready!!! 😂🤣😂🤣 Failure is not a option??? A+ you two!!! Been with you since 2019. This is AWESOME!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
I have seen every episode and never been disappointed in content. Over the years I have watched great seamanship, honest thoughts, development of skills, fantastic views and commentary on places visited and now we are watching a skilled couple building what I suspect will be a perfect boat, accompanied by a ever curious and infectious junior crew member in Vera. I find it starnage that the subscriber numbers are not higher.
Johan is on a roll now and as your days in Sweden are getting longer I can see why. Great to see Vera helping. She is such a breath of fresh air. Spring I think is the best of our four seasons and its nice to see all the fresh growth appearing. Cheers you are doing a great job. Ian - New Zealand
Another wonderful episode from Sweden and your beautiful Sun Hill farm! Having grown up on a working farm, your video's remind me of my wonderful farm experiences! Lucky as you get to be our age youll be able to replay sll of your collection of this mammoth undertaking and relive it again. Viera is truly a happy, beautiful child. We're not believing how long we've been following your amazing trip tvtough life. We're extremely grateful for your efforts as it has brought many rich, interesting and fond memkries back. FWCS ⛵️ ⛵️
My dad built a 12 foot San Francisco Bay Pelican in the garage when I was Vera’s age. That is where my mechanical skills started. The last few episodes with Vera participating make me smile. She’s learning a lot!
It just occurred to me that by the time you complete your new sailboat, your daughter will be old enough to be a contributing member of the crew. Excellent planning!!!
I still find it hard to take in the amount of work that you both have taken on, and this will go on for more years, incredible, and Vera, now the star of the show, how she has grown, just like the boat.
It's so enjoyable watching the team work you guys have. It reminds me of when my wife and I built our home 38 years ago. We still live in it and know where every pipe, wire and stud is.
Every time your little girl is on camera, I see a Swedish version my daughter. The faces, the attitude and even the logic sometimes. I'd imagine they'd be great friends if they ever met! What a joy to have her around! The boat is looking so great. I would love to undertake a project like this, but I really do not have the nerve for it.
Your workmanship is impeccable, as always. A clear sense of structure also. I look forward to your continuing work and especially the craftsmanship on the interior. Beyond all this - and I can say with certainty - You are teaching your daughter very serious lessons without you even knowing what they yet are. I grew up helping my Dad rebuild an old wooden (teak and mahogany) power boat at a young age. It taught me many things. The patience to figure things out. Things you have never done before. It taught me the skill of woodworking. And maybe most importantly, it taught me the generation of 3 dimensional form in space. Today - I am 65 - and have spent a lifetime playing in space and making form as an Architect for the last nearly 40 years. I attribute much of this to time rebuilding an old 1939 boat with my dad for some 10 years. I'm also a passionate sailor with a strong urge to complete a Northwest Passage. Inspirational video. Thank you! Best regards from NYC.
Johan seems to have this hull flipping idea well in hand. But you sure didn't give yourself much room for error on the size of flipping frame going through your barn doors. For a couple of seafarers, Malin and Vera sure know how to make a beautiful garden! And Vera, even at the ripe old age of four, no, make that four and half, knows how to make a photo shoot more interesting with props! She's going places Mom and Dad! Enjoy her while you can, it won't last long! Oh and the drone shots of your farm were spectacular today. It's hard to take in all that green with my eyes all at once! This coming Sunday we honor our mothers here in the United States by celebrating Mother's Day. Wishing Malin a Happy Mother's day from America this year!
It's great to see Vera's developing language (including English!). It's fascinating to see. As an adult trying to learn a second language, I admire how a child's brain works. I also enjoy seeing her climb and explore and do things. Oh yeah, and the boat is great, too! :)
The farm is looking colourfully vibrant, lovely. The garden is going to be great. Lovely weather for barbecues. Oh my goodness, Vera is growing so fast. You guys are doing really well on the boxes. Wow, great work on those frames too. Absolutely love the vlog :)
Hey ran sailing, I have been following you for last 4 yrs now. Johan is such any capable fellow that I am surprised he does it without any meltdown. So cool man vera lucky to have father like you n she is so cute and smart has good scene to present before camera.(that pose with futbol ohh so beautiful). Lastly thank you malin, you are so good in organising and showing step by step buildup process n the background 🎵 fits perfectly to the scenes(specially today's while sticking metal strip to cradle). Keep surprising us.
Vera is so precious & funny! She is so blessed to have a wonderful & hardworking Mom & Dad like you. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for sharing.
It’s easy to lose track of the amount of time you have spent on the building of your boat, despite seeing you work into the night. But your baby is growing up quickly and is a beautiful reminder of the passage of time.
Another testament to something I believe- we have an innate desire to work harder for ourselves than working under supervision. I do not mean that in a selfish way but as an expression of our own desires. The comments attached to each RAN video are so interesting and well written. It seems the content of the well produced RAN vid. attracts some very good hearted people 👍👍👍🇺🇸
What a lovely child. So well mannered, and helpful too! I enjoy watching your videos , totally impressed by the skill, dedication, hard work and patience. Thank you for sharing !
Congrats with progress on the boat. But Vera is progressing fast too and, as the father of a girl, I just wanted to tell you, enjoy her childhood. I remember my girl when she was Vera's age, but soon with girls, sometime between 10 and 13... well you know what happens and bye bye childhood. I feel girls childhood is so short, not fair really. Best wishes.
Early on, while Mom was tending the garden, I just got a kick out of Vera saying (to no one but herself), "I want to do something fun instead" -- then, very aware that she was being filmed, cutting her eyes about impishly. Cute! She did get a popsicle, later, though. 😜 I do appreciate these "out-takes" from the boat building videos -- images of your family enjoying the outdoors and each other. I do think it's wonderful that you're also teaching Vera to speak English -- we Americans ought to at least try to do the same by being able to speak Swedish! As always, Johan, the master carpenter, is on top of his game in that shop. Well done, indeed. Thank you for this video!
It’s so beautiful and green in Sweden now. We are still waiting for our leaves to pop in Alberta, Canada. So nice to follow your Vera as she is growing up.
Hello my fellow Canadian, looking forward to the flip and do you also follow Sailing Magic Carpet, you must not be too far from them. Cheers from Ontario🇨🇦
@@robertbiron Yes! I've been following Magic Carpet's exploits since their first season. They're only about 40 miles away but it's also a ferry ride away. Hoping they'll allow viewers to come and watch them splash the boat!
These are the most beautiful videos TH-cam or anywhere. Thanks for once again sharing your beautiful family. Vera is so cute and smart. Easy Peasy hahahahahahaha 🤣
My weekly “fix” of watching you three prepare to move the boat out of the shop and rolling it over (gently & in a controlled fashion) is very interesting. As mentioned before I built a 36 ft sloop and used peeler logs to roll it out of my shop . But I had 4 other helpers to assist. Best of luck - the weather is looking good and appears to be drying out. Your extensive planning will pay off 👍😎 can’t wait til next week !!🤞🤛🙏
I will bet you this man has Viking in his blood! He is a master ship builder!!!! Wow!
Daddy's little helper is so stinking adorable!!
It warms my heart when you share your lovely daughter. She is a joy.😊
I remember back 5 years when the two of you were sailing Ran down the West coast of North America and you announced that your crew was increasing by one. That seems like only yesterday. Vera is such a precious child. Happy springtime.
Time goes too fast!
Vera posing for the camera is beyond cute! Her facial expressions now are so precious. And, she wants to sail in the desert! Johan, make it so!
Johan is one of the hardest working men I've ever seen. Vera is adorable and Malin is the kind of wife and partner men dream of having. You all are wonderful people.
Second that.
Beautiful family. 3rd that.
What a fantastic role model family ! You foster emotional and psychological well-being among your viewers , promote responsible behavior, and encourage individual as well as collective growth. Thank you so much! 🙏

I can't imagine being able to sleep the night before flipping the hull over!
Vera is becoming the star of this show and a wonderful helper too. Can't wait to see this boat flipped, It's going to be exciting.
Like many people in the comments, Vera has stolen my heart. What a delightful child. The exclamation mark at the end of family ! ❤
I wonder how curious your neighbours are getting about all that strange going-on in your barn! Maybe "Noah" knows something we don't? Magnificent job.

Vera is a trooper , just like her mama and papa
The project is moving along nicely. This barn full of boat build is such a fascinating place for Vera to enjoy her childhood. Memories in the making.
Such a nice mix between boat building and family activities! Looking forward to your episode every week!!
I continue to be impressed by the quality of your work and attention to detail. So impressive.

As many have said, the allure of your channel was sailing and boat building...it is now watching your beautiful family and Vera!

What a FANTASTIC episode! Can't wait for this epic turn. Best with it.

When it comes to “overkill” on the engineering of the square wheels, I agree, build in heaps of extra strength. Well done on the progress.
Marlin, excellent job of editing. You two have such a beautiful and engaging little girl. She is a star. Love the episode. Cheers!
It's been great watching your family grow threw the years we feel like family

Love Malin's concern when hoisting the cradle ... what a great team you two are!
Such an incredible amount of work. I love watching your dream come together.
Bless you guys. You are hope for the future that all people watching can look to.
It’s easy to lose track of the amount of time you have spent on the building of your boat, despite seeing you work into the night. But your baby is growing up quickly and is a beautiful reminder of the passage of time.
Teach the little girl to say, Good Day Mate 👍
What a magical place for a little girl to grow up :)
Vera is a model in the making, she has it down pat already.

Absolute joy watching Vera's personality develop. Your going to have a rock star or run way model on your hands
Malin, this video is wonderful! I love seeing your family life. So healthy...😇
Thank you ☺️

Vera is so funny! You should have made two, so she has a play mate to keep her busy. I do love your weekly videos...also miss the sailing
I was just thinking to myself “I wonder if Vera is learning any English yet”. Then at 10:35 minutes, she says hello! So precious!❤
Sounds like your first trip will be to the Namib desert when the build is complete. Can't wait for that episode. 😊
The excitement is building here! what a great project!

It’s so beautiful and green in Sweden now. We are still waiting for our leaves to pop in Alberta, Canada. So nice to follow your Vera as she is growing up.
I am very impressed that you are teaching Vera some English. I have heard that English is taught in Swedish schools which is very smart.
😃😃😃😍👍👍👍lovely looking daddy's helper, she is growing up quickly just like my granddaughter
can't believe it has been a year and a half already
I can hardly wait to see the boat turning operation!
Exciting progress!
Quite an engineering challenge..but with such helpers all is possible... Nice job..

Tell Vera to keep practicing hanging from those rings! It'll be super helpful when the rigging goes up on _Ran III._ 😅👍
Vera is too cute. ☺️
Can't believe how big Vera is now. Time is flying. And I can't wait till next week cuz I'm curious to see what's involved in turning the hull.
Thanks
Thank you! 👍😊
The hull looks so beautiful and has Vera approval, must be so ...
Very exciting, getting very close to getting the boat the right way up now🙂
Så jäkla proffsigt Johan, man blir bara så imponerad. 👍👍🥰🥰🥰⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️
This will be interesting. Thanks, guys , you too Vera .

15:25 timestamp, the shot would make a great still. LOve your work, guys. The little one is getting so big.
Great work, I can’t wait to see the boat outside and remember “ where there’s a wheel there a way” 😀 good luck everything looks well planned.
Mother's Day this Sunday!!!!
