I had one solvent pop problem in 30 paint jobs and it's always in the base coat not being dry enough to release all the vapor, and it was the coolest I ever sprayed , never spray below 70 degrees but if you do wait atleast 2 hours before clear coat.
@@BLACKRAIN390 im no expert and have wondered if the humidity could be a problem, so what said makes sense. I mentioned the fans because i did a job with fans on the ground and no water and man i got tons of shit in the paint.
The paint job looks great on the Datsun 🤩
Use reducer at the 10% mark in ur mix the reduce in the mix is going to flash the oils and contaminants also help clean out the base coat

NICE JOB AND BETTER DESCRIPTION
One main reason for solvent pop is not enough dry time on your base coat before applying the clear coat.
Nice job. Try lifting those fans off the floor. Put them on a chair as they probably stirred the dust and your floors not wet.
I don't wet the floor anymore, when the clear is drying and the floor water is evaporating it can make your clear die back ( dull the shine)

@@markdrewett149 I use 36 in paper around the car at times
I been trying to figure it out it and it’s definitely that. Thanks bro 👍
(Da clear cuh)
Use a slower reducer and wait double the flash time on the base coat , I feel medium reducer cause it.... same with the clear
Is the solvent issue related to the hardener or the thinner used in the 2k clear?
The hardner. The medium dried to fast. I had to switch to the slow.
Haha! I liked the intro😂
I was trying to find the video you made on your engine and pinion angle. Could you help me?
Are you referring to the foxbody?
