What's going on here is Carrie (obb?) switching between being accelerated in one direction and being accelerated in the other, which prevents her from reaching terminal velocity. 22:10: I don't think it's a weird way for rules to work. You jump, you get positive Y-velocity; you pass the threshold, and now gravity is pulling you +y instead of -y, so your Y-velocity increases farther. 0:19: Sometimes it seems like a game was literally made for you. (It probably wasn't in this case; _ibb & obb_ came out five years before PlayFrame started. But it sure seems like it!) 2:30: It's a good little animation detail-makes the looker feel more alive, and makes it feel like ibb & obb have some kind of relationship. 4:35-4:50: Highlight reel material. Possibly with a monochrome instant replay and sad music. 14:45: I feel like the Floyds might need a refresher on how kinetic and potential energy work. 37:00: You never know! EasySpeeze got a _60 Seconds!_ world record without knowing how to get the ending he got. (Speedrunners being speedrunners, his record was beaten the next day.) 39:39: Carrie has Scorpion energy today.
I haven't played this one but yeah I think preserve velocity, invert acceleration is the most common way for these to work. I think I've also seen invert both, but I can't name an example offhand and I'm sure if they exist they're rarer.
Ah, our favorite difficulty modifier is back, starting right off with controller chaos! This game gets CRAZY if you are trying for even close to 100% ... so don't. Just relax, play a while, and put it down when your ready.
PlayFrame does a game I've actually played! I don't think there is much more to show off of the game itself, all the other levels are just more of this and trickier puzzles, but I would not object to a full playthrough? Although, if you take recommendations from total strangers, Cat Quest 2 is something that I think you'd enjoy
Carrie's problem is obviously that she's just thinking too much. So if she was speed running and just in the zone, she would zip through this whole game in minutes.
