I use 2 PVC pipes on my trailer instead of those Hobie Cradles. I just tie the nose of the kayak to the back of the truck, so the kayak doesn’t slide back, then pull out and the kayak settles in the center of those two PVC pipes as I pull forward up the boat ramp. Piece of cake. My buddy with the Hobie cradles struggles just like you mentioned.
that's interesting. The cradles came with the trailer and kayak and yes it can be a struggle, even more so when I'm launching on the beach in the Gulf of Mexico. Do you by chance have a video or pictures posted somewhere of your set up? I'm always looking for a better way of doing this, especially now that I'm getting older and can't rely on brute strength.
What an awesome kayak!

Love your dog! She loves it out there!
She does love the water. She has a new vessel to explore on now. Coming soon.
Great trailer setup for a long kayak. What trailer brand is it?
Keep the TI videos coming!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video! What camera did you use?
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. I use a Sony HDR-CX380. I believe that's a handycam. I've used it some much I've worn the print off of the body. lol
