I ran across this old digital computer patent 3190554 where the logic gates ran on compressed air. Was such a computer ever built and used for anything? Could 3D printing be use used to build such a computer today? If Babbage had gone with this compressed air approach, do you think he could have had had Difference Engine built with the help of the pipe organ builders, or of London's organ grinders? I read that Babbage and London's organ grinders were bitter enemies.
