Thank you . I use 5 earl gray teabags in a litre of room temperature water with rind of 1 orange and 3 sprigs of mint. Stir and cold brew in fridge for 6 hours (reduces tannins). Strain and serve over ice. Agree on sugar syrup if have sweet tooth! Will try baking sofa. Good idea. Thanks for video
Don’t squeeze the bags and look up how to make clear ice. I buy clear ice at the market, but only on weekends, the rest of the week we use cloudy ice. My kids say… “can we have weekend ice?!”
Hi Paul- I added baking soda to my tea and I totally get it. I think the soda reacts to the tannins in the tea and helps to neutralize the bitterness. My next batch I will use more because my tea was still cloudy. Isn't science awesome.. 🙂 thanks for the recipe. I enjoy your videos. -Cathy
I love a good glass of tea with dinner!

Got my distilled water today per your suggestion. Will try making tea with it tomorrow.:::)))
people should know that the only thing the baking soda does is help balance the ph of the water distilling alters
I started drinking tea at 4 with saccharin tablets. Loved to watch them fizz... Not sure about this Baking Soda to make a perfect cup of tea...
Beautiful heavy pitcher where did you purchase I like your electric water kettle also??
Wow your video is so good and nice like to watch your video so much 👍
Thank you for checking it out!
Trying this tomorrow!
Would you still use the baking soda if you made regular tea and not sweet tea? Like my tea plain....no milk....no sugar::)))
You could give it a shot. I find unsweetened tea with filtered water is quite crisp
@@paulfolger3490 Love ice tea and will get some distilled water....thanks much
@@sharonpults1177 you can also use filtered water. Don’t forget use that water for ice cubes too
Why put baking soda in it I have never heard of that
I have to ask ... what does the baking soda do?
To me it adds a crispness. Give it a shot tell me what you think:)

Glad you tried it out!!
It dissolves the tannins which causes the cloudiness essentially what Cathy said
And I think it takes the acid/tannins out. (Neutralizes the acid).
What tea flavor?
