I'll spare you all the details, suffice it to say my own white-collar book publishing industry screwed me, I did an 8-month stint at a gas station but had to quit as it was killing my 68-yr-old body. Applied to countless jobs, white and blue collar. I have just had the same thing with my mum in the past couple of weeks. Not everyone is bothered by it. I myself can't even handle being inside there at all at this point. I'm Disabled (w/a Birth Defect that deals w/my Brain pushing out of the base of the skull & sitting on my spinal column, which messes w/a multitude of things in my body) & the Air in the House just Exasperates my Body's Symptoms far too Greatly. & So... (pile 3)It represents my past and I tried for ages to live in peace with the people of my past but the only way to do that was to completely ignore my own nature and wishes. And you're so right, the only way to handle that door is to close it and never open it again. It's the only way to move on into the future. It has cost me a ton of energy and ten years of my life. Indeed it always made me angry while, just as you, I'm not an angry person at all but they always tried and push my buttons, on purpose, to get me off of my path. The reason I can't retire is because I used my savings taking care of my adult brother w/Down syndrome for 7 years by myself until he died. NO ONE, NO AGENCY showed up to help. Our mother made no plan for him. Gave the house to my evil twin. Relatives were shocked but didn't help. Pushing out a baby does NOT confer motherhood.

Pile 3. I’ve walked away but still visit. Today I arrived happy, again I left sad. They lied to me, looked me right in the eye and lied. I knew a week or so ago that they were not being true full. Today I checked and see evidence, even when I said I had seen it, they still lied. It’s so sad when it is your grownup daughter, such a battle. It’s not how I raised her. I’ve been travelling about these past couple of weeks and feel a huge energy shift, bit of a pilgrimage 😂. I feel my authentic self, not masking or dimming to fit. I always felt stressed and crap! That has changed since being away most days.
I also walked away from a job, I was working many hours, my cup drained, my soul! My manager was a TOTAL narcissistic moo 🐮 and there were many fake people, no one seemed authentic. I remember one eve after a works training, we went to a bar. After hours on the train, the heat and a long day I sat for most of it. They were sucking up to the top bosses if you will, all to climb the ladder. I actually got angry and told the main boss off as he pushed right past me and others that were lining up to get a drink. I hated the fact he thought he was superior 😂 us mere mortals 😂. Anyhoo, I can’t do fake, lies, inauthentic.
I feel free now, a new me is growing. 🌳 Exploring and going where I want!

I'll begin with, I do not comment nor share often. When I do, I tend to be long winded, even when I consolidate. This was the shortest I could do & have it make any sense. 🫣 🤭 😏 😊
For me, my initial interpretative resonance from this is about my 3rd Time trying to live in my "Family Home" (& w/out my Family or anyone else there). I knew I had No Business going back there, yet there was nowhere else for me to go when COVID hit & my landlord decided to sell his house. I'd been told the House's Issues were fixed (turned out they weren't fixed, just had had bandaids put on).
& so I unawaredly & Greatfullly went w/ lots of Hope & an Open Mind...
So many unexpected events occurred & shortly after I arrived other people ended up moving in there w/me(by my families permission). They are Very Bickery w/ Each Other (which I didn't know before hand), & VERY MUCH Not Spiritually Inclined nor very Self Aware. They're Kind Hearted towards Others, just really overwhelming w/each other & there are 6 of them + Animals.
The house turned out to have Mold in it(as far as I can tell), so I ended up moving outside of the House(for the 2nd Time in my life, from the same issues, which the " Why's" were unknown initially & had occurred over 17yrs ago). Not everyone is bothered by it. I myself can't even handle being inside there at all at this point. I'm Disabled (w/a Birth Defect that deals w/my Brain pushing out of the base of the skull & sitting on my spinal column, which messes w/a multitude of things in my body) & the Air in the House just Exasperates my Body's Symptoms far too Greatly. & So...
I have lived outside for the past 2½yrs, to be safe, Health wise, from the House itself & from the insanity that wound up living inside of it... mind you this is the Extended Family of my Family's friend, whom I've known my whole life & actually Love & Care about Greatly. Nonetheless, turns out that's how They happen to be with each other...
Just recently I have been gifted the ability to rent an apartment (which will be a 1st for me, as I've only lived in houses w/yards & I Love to be Outside & have my Gardens & Plants etc...). I will be moving next month. I assure you, once I'm out from this space though.... ya that Houses
Door will be Locked & I will Not be returning there for at least another 5 yrs.

I had the same reaction to that door. (pile 3)It represents my past and I tried for ages to live in peace with the people of my past but the only way to do that was to completely ignore my own nature and wishes. And you're so right, the only way to handle that door is to close it and never open it again. It's the only way to move on into the future. It has cost me a ton of energy and ten years of my life. Indeed it always made me angry while, just as you, I'm not an angry person at all but they always tried and push my buttons, on purpose, to get me off of my path. It is very sad to leave them behind but there is no other way to save myself and my life's purpose. Thank you very much again. Very spot on. Wow - this relates to me. I’ve come out of 5 yr relationship 7 months ago. My ex has reached out a few times.
