look up find my phone and click it. It should ask you to sign into your stuff. Once you’re done, it should show you a screen that shows a location. It should also show you an “erase device” button as well. Click the button, and you’re all done! Just set up the new account on the Samsung and you’re good!
hey, I had my phone stolen, so I did a claim and they sent me a new phone. now I've retrieved the old phone but its locked from the Insurance company and the iCloud on there is also deactivated so there's no way for me to remove the email off the phone. any help please?
No way around that sorry apple basically deativated the phone itself from being able to use, cause its insurance locked now, be careful when its on they could be watching you threw the camera

You need a password to sign out.
