What do you think causes the early planting hit? Is it a germination problem or is it the plant stress?

Cold wetter soil makes for diseases like crown rot seedling blight. Can't plant it all on the perfect day though. I'd say it's better to be a little early than really late if the rain comes and keeps u out like this year or 19. Being well equipped to plant fast can pay.
