I just want to point out, this is EXACTLY how I play Salmon Run.
The only difference is I don’t paint as much, and I move around significantly slower, and I miss most of my shots, and I get splatted a lot, and I get fewer eggs, and my team will fail on round 1 or 2, but other than those small differences, I play just like this.
Wow really?? Me too, but I think you may be a bit more advanced than me. I strive to get to your level.
This is how I play too, I paint, move around but my teammates on the other hand…
I'm just trying to imagine what it must feel like to have a team you don't need to worry about because they don't drop like flies every 5 seconds. Let alone the crazy amount of eggs 🤣 Very impressive!
You really know Salmon Run is an entirely different mode when the first thing they do is paint the w a l l s.
Because Walls = escape routes = LIVEING. everyone should do it, really.
Guys, we've found it. We've found out how Mr. Grizz accquired all his golden power eggs
Congrats on your first 200+ shift of Splatoon 3! Surprised how quickly you managed to figure out these maps.
@@62049 yeah spawning grounds is not good
Marooner bay would’ve been a better pick for sr map ports
This is so sick! I kinda wish Cohozuna had greater odds of randomly appearing if you got over X amount of golden eggs by the end of the third wave - would be nice to reward good runs with some scales!
if you listen close, the horn that announces the salmon bosses arrival, it's going so fast it can even finish for most of em, first it's one then three, then like seven!!! this is the perfect team, the teamwork is astonishing. good work you guys!! 🧡🧡
this just made me realise how good salmon run is at instilling panic into the player (or well, VIEWER too, because jesus christ). hearing the horns go off on top of each other is terrifying, knowing that you have no idea of what could be coming your way next, and any one of them could end your shift without breaking a sweat
Me who barely pays attention the the horns and just knows very roughly when more should be spawning
8:26 Alright Brian, I see you trying to trick shot with the bow xD
28:23 I like how you get revenge on that one flyfish that dodged everything the whole wave
man seeing this makes me really want people who know what they're doing
this is what i want to achieve
Climb up to high Eggsecutive ranks and you will find some salmon run legends in your freelance.
If not, search for a discord and put a team together. Even if the team isn’t legendary at first, you can grow together and maybe make some friends.
@@wabbit2099 It doesn't matter if you see good players there, you'll still lose if one person isn't in sync with the rest.
It’s so satisfying seeing all those eggs just littered around the basket & the constant sound of them going in. If only the game had voice chat maybe we could get a small fraction of this kind of teamwork in freelance
The wall of text explaining why it showed 204 instead of 202 made me laugh so hard for some reason
It's so chaotic, and I love it. You guys are amazing surviving each round
watching people on Eggsecutive VP 999 get 1 gold scale from 4 coho wins makes me want to form a workers union
I'd like to see a compilation of janky weird stuff that happens to you guys while overfishing. I'm sure it's not all smooth sailing all the time
This is awesome! I wish I had found you sooner. I'm already becoming a better salmon run player by watching your videos!
Not gonna lie
I wanna see y’all with LT hurricane/Twister whatever you call it
I wanna see how crazy you all can go with that lmao
It’s a tornado
Realistically with coordination this night wave is pretty easy… in a fun way
@@cousinparty7266 I think that's what they mean. They wanna see how many eggs they can haul in Tornado wave.
Very true, especially since each egg gets double value, with excellent coordination I bet they could break 250 golden eggs
i was surprised how much specials were being spammed game 1 wave 3. but then i thought about how many eggsecutive runs ive lost on high tide due to going from "everything is fine" to "we're being overwhelmed" in .5 seconds so i actually think that was really smart and i shouldn't be as stingy with my specials.
Good eye, it's indeed surprisingly easy to react too late to when a special is necessary. Something even many experienced players still struggle with, partly because knowing whether a special is necessary requires info about the state of the game, which there is a ton of in SR.
tbh especially if its the last wave there is nothing to loose. And even if you get Cohazuha after that, you regain one special charge. Using specials when its too late can only (SOMETIMES!!) fix the chaos and doesnt prevent it
Y’all are like the navy seals equivalent of salmon run players. Love it
this is by far one of the best salmon run loadouts. 4 great weapons and sockeye
ALREADY well done man good to see some people are good at this game so my climb to Eggsecutive doesnt seem as impossible
I loved this rotation, got back to eggxecutive with it but didn’t play much because of work
I'm just watching this amazed at how you do this when I'm struggling with low level runs being new to Salmon Run. Congrats!
Thank you for posting this, it's so beautiful to watch a team work so efficiently alltogether. You are amazing to watch !
The amount close calls is wild!! Squid rolls came in clutch , y'all are crazy for playing like this lmao , love it
And there we have it, folks, Brian getting a gold scale on the first shift...which was a HLM (Hazard Level Max 333%)... According to sources that I've found out even more about this during a previous video that I've commented, the chances of getting a gold scale is not only low, but it also depends on certain factors. Obviously hazard level plays the biggest role in getting gold scales, but also how fast can you kill it plays a factor as well. As we saw, the team killed Cohozuna in 50 seconds on HLM...without any Grizzco Weapons... I felt like this was incredibly optimized to the point that it'll be very hard to beat that time. But at the end of the day, all of that equals to around approximately 3% chance of spawning a gold scale out of all the ones collect in total...yes it's LITERALLY A MOBILE GATCHA PULL IN GETTING THE DAMN THINGS...
I think we can all agree that while the rates overall to get golds really suck ass, I think they'll make a workaround when the first Big Run comes at some point...which is pretty scummy since it'll only be active for certain times... But as long as we can get at least four or more golds from it, I suppose I CAN forgive them for this (Still leaning to not likely)...
8:29 That was the slickest kill I've ever seen on a bow like that. Real fancy, Mr. Hotshot~ 🤣
Drop rates make sense. You should not be able to afford everything in the shop in the first 2 months (unless you grind to the extreme)
I’m sorry I couldn’t hear anything else besides the fog horn constantly going off
Dude, you actually got a golden scale. Absolute victory
We need two of these teams in a 5 minute turf war, that’d be so cool to watch.
I couldn’t imagine doing salmon run at such a hard difficulty like this. I might be professional but there has been more losses than wins for me
@@Danny328DT There are some really good teammates at higher ranks. Profreshional is pretty hit or miss but I have had mostly good teammates in Eggsecutive.
8:27 Style points right there
On that day Mr Grizz shut down the company because of the amount of eggs he had
Thank you for providing us with this awesome Salmon content! 👏👏
Wow, you are great at this. Respect to you. 👍🏻🏆
8:27 ok now you’re just showin off lol
Take your well-earned singular gold scale :)
Salmys aint fun to watch until you see brian pull a 200
This. This is what God Tier Salmon Running looks like.
8:27 BRO WHAAAT
上手すぎる……
全然危なげないプレイで見てて安心する
This is ridiculously impressive to watch. If only I can get away from the awful teammates I'm matched with in the Professional +1/+2/+3 ranks... I can only carry the team so far! 😢
@@Stevenyt- Pretty sure Profreshional +3 is the last one before Eggsecutive VP
@@duffy_io oh okay thank you. I’m currently Profressional +2 but i still find bad teammates…
@@Stevenyt- oh you'll find bad teammates until around eggsecutive 250. They're everywhere
Apologies sometimes I’ve played when I’ve drank a bit lol. But no seriously I’ve had nothing but bad teams lately. I had so many bad matches last week I got demoted to part time from professional 2. I think I’m gonna take a break before getting back into it.
Does Cohozuna jump approximately every 15 seconds?
i noticed that you basically never go down to the shore. i have a few questions.
1. do you recommend this for casual players?
2. what are the best strategies to fend off backline bosses without having to push shore? (especially on the 2 other maps)
I don't think you need to avoid being at the shore when you're at a lower level, as bosses will spawn less frequently along with cohocks, chums, and smallfrys. Spending less and less time on the shore as you move up is a good habit though. As going out there, especially going alone guarantees you're going to die and have to be revived. The best strategies you can have for fending backline bosses is probably to mainly be aware, and if they're too many on the shore start to make your way up there. I think it'd be good to prioritize which bosses should be killed first. Like if there's a flyfish and maws next to you use your bomb on the flyfish. Using the raised areas of the map to help thin out the regular salmonids close to the shore is helpful too, as you won't be as vulnerable from other directions while picking them off. Make sure to pay attention to your role as a weapon too. If you're a blaster it's probably good to stick to the sides and on the higher part of the map so you can take care of stingers easily.
the frame drops on this stage is insane😭 can barely even play it on high tide
Whatever salmonid is playing that foghorn deserves a raise, jesus 😭
Man got more eggs in a wave than I do in a full run. Insane.
CONGRATULATIONS WITH YOUR INK-REDIBLE SCORE!!!
The difference between this and the lower eggsecutive ranks is your teammates actually take care of bosses. Especially the flyfish and big shots.
In short: “Boss Salmonid Alert!”
Man I wish I had teammates capable of just surviving on 200% hazard level, let alone hazard max
love these video & how much i learn from them!
wish i had team mates like you guys ;-;
you: HLM
everyone: Hazard Level Max
me: Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill
That's crazy, just being able to beat cohozuna in 50 seconds
8:27 Nice shot
Already overfishing on S3? Yeesh, you people are machines!
Considering Stingray isn't a thing anymore is it worth it to Killer Wail the mothership?
Can you revive teammates with golden eggs or the explosion from launching them?
As a side note, do you like the Stringer? I play it similar to a midline anchor hybrid. With thermal ink, cover isn't a thing anymore where as Chargers struggle with this.
Killer Wail: Yes... sometimes. It's mostly used if Crab or Inkstrike aren't an option. Crab is by far the best because it's much better at taking down the chinooks spawning above the basket and also lasts a lot longer.
Egg revive: Yup! Unless I'm mistaken you should be able to revive players with egg throws.
Stringer: Hmm kinda? I gotta say I had serious doubts about the weapon when seeing it for the first time. While it definitely isn't great or anything, it's at least not that bad so I wouldn't really mind having it.
my salmon run teammates need to take notes so i can stop getting demoted
Is that Vallu lmao never knew he was good at splatoon along with every other 3d mario 😂
What the hell was that roll he did with the pro at the start
ah yes commit a genocide to help mr grizz get golden egg
spoiler:
just so he can end inkling and octoling speeches
Brian Is always Máster at Salmón run
🤑🤑🤑🤑
Idk what type of magic is going on but salmon run is way more interesting this time around than it ever was in S2. Something about it just tells me that Nintendo will be regular supplying the mode with content the same way they do with multiplayer.
Wow. INKredible. Beast mode.
Would you happen to know how Cohozuna targeting works? Is it based on who does the most damage, or does it switch like Grillers? Do eggs factor into this?
Also, sucks that the gaps between rewards are so huge now. Wonder why they did that.
new asmr just dropped
That is a dope follower emote!
I've only gotten Max Hazard Once in Splatoon 2, and its stressful. So this is must be very hard compared to Splatoon 2.
Do you guys have some communication? Like a call in the back while you play to make coordinating easier? Or is it all trust?😭
I want to reach this level of difficulty
How it feels to chew 5 gum:
2:02 Brian throws
Just wow!
Guys, I think theres a boss salmonoid
I know this is very random, but big run when?!
is it me or do i never see the big shots in any of these videos
You’re just too good man
where are the 4 simultaneous flyfish in these!
Man, when I play everytime theres like 3 flyfish spawning at seperate ends of the map each round, or there or like 4 consecutive big shots 😔. I think i counted like 11 flyfish total in these 4 shifts.
It's definitely not a surprise there's less since these games are basically cherry picked. There were still a little over 50 Flyfish/Stingers/Big shots combined in these shifts, which all have similar value in Overfishing since all that matters is how far the eggs spawn. Some of them are just hidden quite well because we communicate who deals with them, which generally happens right as they spawn. Cause yeah as I'm sure you know any later becomes troublesome.
By estimate, how many eggs does it take to reduce Cohozuna's health bar?
I feel if I knew this I would plan my boss attacks better.
moterhship
In all seriousness good work!
I swear these people heal from taking damage.
I think my switch would actually explode if this happened to me
Let's Go Vallu! Torille!
Leia's badges tho!!!
Why do I watch this even if I despise Salmon Run ?
What is your dream comp?
If we're only assuming normal weapons probably something like 3x Dapples & Squiffer. Maybe swap one of those Dapples out for Luna for fishsticks
What does it even take to get HLM in salmon run? I've played this mode for hundreds of hours between both games, and I've only done it once.
Yeah it takes a while unfortunately. The average rank of all players combined needs to be EVP 870
I struggle to reach 100 didn’t even know this was possible
It's basically impossible with freelance because most teams are out of sync.
excuse me you got how many eggs!
200+! I haven’t even gotten to 100 😭
How did you find your team mates?
Already all of us spend a lot of time practising this game doing random pickups. And eventually we noticed we all had a very similar level in motivation for pushing the limit of this game, so from there it was only logical to turn this more into a consistent team.
Any tips that can help me get good at salmon run? I'm horrible.
Here's some tips:
There are certain bosses that are more deadly than others (ex flyfish, stingers, big shots) so always prioritize killing those if you can. Try not to stay on the shore for too long though especially if you're alone, as dying becomes much easier and it'll take a while for you to be revived.
Pay attention to the map and weapon rotations. One of the worst maps is spawning grounds as it's very cramped. Some weapon rotations have more niche weapons or just don't work well. If there's a lot of unfamiliar weapons to you, when the map, and or weapon rotation isn't good it's okay to just wait for the next rotation.
Don't be shy to use your specials a lot of people save them, but it's best to use them when you can. I think it's best to use your specials so you can get to the third wave, as even when you lose your paygrade won't drop. Also a lot of people use their specials too late into a wave, and it can't save the run. So if there's a dicey situation it's best not to risk it and use it early. Speaking of paygrade if you're close to a demotion (under 40) you can stop playing, and when the next rotation starts your paygrade will go back up to 40.
Some eggs aren't worth collecting. This is more important for higher levels, as it's just too dangerous and time consuming to deliver those eggs. You don't have to leave all of them but maybe collect one or two and move onto the next incoming boss.
The last tip is pay attention to your stats when a run is finished, as it'll help show you what you need to do more. It can help show how you might need to collect more eggs, kill more regular salmonids, or play more carefully to prevent dying as much. That's all! I hope you have some good sessions and have fun playing salmon run!
Ur cracked
These scores were fun, but I'm more impressed by how we managed to get Cohozuna on every single shift we had a good run. Don't ask me how.
Huh
According to my calculator that is a less than a 0.001% chance but don’t quote me on that
Okay yes that's very cool and amazing and I'm surprised how that happened but I have a tip do not let bad Salmon run players help you
Hey Brian since there's going to be more big bosses like Cohozuna what do you think the next one could be based on?
Yeah, that is extremely strange, and I trust you didn't cut any content...so the fact you had Cohozuna all four shifts, back-to-back, is an anomaly that would be very hard to explain... I guess you and your team just have beyond amazing luck? Or maybe it's the high egg count? ...I mean getting 200+ constantly is a feat hardly any team can do...although you guys did spawn Cohozuna on the last one with only 167 eggs, so I assume that theory is debunked...
Meh...either way, god-tier...
