  • Firefighters battling fires in the wildland/urban interface face increased risks. There are too many stories of firefighter deaths and injuries during wildfire events. Three wildland firefighter survivor stories are featured in this film. Methods of wildland firefighting mitigation and command are also described.
Wildland firefighters must be trained and aware of several principles that are key to helping them survive during these events, including:
    • LCES-Lookout, Communications, Escape Route, and Safety Zone
    • Crew cohesion
    • Planning and response
    • The 10 standard fire orders of wildland firefighting
    • Situational considerations

Not only does this video make me feel like it's 2 days before summer break in elementary school, it's also entertaining and informative. Thanks for uploading these older videos!
