    This video should be at least at a million views. We Muslims, especially the youth, should learn the importance of the Hijri calendar and this entire khutbah perfectly encapsulates why we should. Jazakallah.

    Summary:
    Rooted in natural things. Wisdom in following the moon. Humans need to be in balance with time selves and the natural world- provide serenity. Part of your submission is to realise everything is in submission to god including the solar system. Human calculations is increase in disbelief. Prayer is based of the celestial bodies. Four holy months- dhul Qadah, dhul hijah, muharam and safar. Through passing through moments to sacred times that are spirituality is energised. This is why we pray five times a day. Because we are forgetful. All of this is part of Allahs mercy. How much would we think of the night journey unless we are given a time to be Reminded of it? Etc. We commemorate those times because the represent divine interventions that impact us in some way. Why is a holy time holy? This is to do with the knowledge of Allah.

      Quran was revealed in a form of verse so that it can be memorized, understand and to implement, but it should be recited as much as we can. Recitation should be loud, giving spaces and with pleasant tone.
      That to only follow lunar days, recite Quran in portions, pleasantly and to understand, to implement it (Follow Guidance) and only than we can achieve “Rohaniyat” because we have made our heart humble now.

    The Catholic Church calendar, the Gregorian , dominates the globe simply because of its accuracy. Every single country uses it to plan business, synchronize , and way more.
    With the exact purpose of the Gregorian calendar to keep the liturgical year in it's exactitude. To preserve days and seasons of commemoration, days of fasting, days for communal worship, and so on. The Christian calendar, the liturgical calendar, is PACKED with religious meaning. Both east and west.
    Further, the difference in Christmas time is 13 days. The difference made in the Gregorian and Julian. This difference, by no means, is permanent because the ancient and apostolic Christians have the power to reunify and discern days in which everyone observes mostly the same things.
    Plus, eid al-fitr is celebrated on different days. The new moon system alone is not enough to create meaningful unity.

    Remember, Abraham was the Father of Islam. He named our religion ISLAM and he named us MUSLIM. Muhammad was told by God to follow the religion of Abraham. Abraham followed the Solar Calendar with four seasons. Hijera calendar invented by Umar Al-Khattab did not exist during the time of Abraham.
    Peace from Elijah/Elias.

      December, Decem-10.

    “I will make it easy for you” (Ramadan) unless you are Scandinavian when Ramadan is in the summer then “I will make it hard for Norway and easy for Saudi”
    The current Calendar is floored and we see and feel it every year at Ramadan. The school year in Saudi basically stops for Ramadan and as it gets into the spring months we lose more and more days of school. This year the kids will finish school in April because of Ramadan and have a 16-18 week summer holiday. UK kids will improve their level education while Muslim Saudi kids will suffer more.

    • @HishamAbad
      @HishamAbad 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to my research, during the life of the Prophet, Ramadan always started in the month of May and ended in June. If we follow this, the school year can be easily organized such that Ramadan will always occur during the summer break.
      The claims that Ramadan started near the Autumnal equinox are not supported by any historical or religious evidence.

    Someone coming from a different background accepts Islam then becomes expert and knowledgeable and choses to be a preacher doesn’t make that person ultimate truth and expert on what he preaches about. Neither that persons fluency in Arabic or his ability to quote hadeeth and Quran from the tip of his tongue nor his cute British accent makes him the ultimate truth teller.
    Deen e Islam is not a cult religion it’s founded on logic and reasoning. If you take these two things out Islam is nothing better than other religions. A cult following the same old story telling, personality worshiping crowd.
    Present Islamic hijri calendar is, incorrect, impractical and not worthy of following.
    We have to understand Arabs lived life before Islam. They travel, they tilled their lands, they trade and do pilgrimage. They did all that. After accepting Islam they changed their earlier concept of god but did not change their geographic conditions. They still follow the natural seasons to do and plan their work, travel etc. Months of present Hijri calendar are named after the seasons and events. And Arabs follow the same months before Islam and after Islam during the life of our beloved Prophet SW.
    For example. Rabi ul Awal and Sani literally means the beginning of spring and 2nd faze of spring. Jamaid Al awal exactly means beginning of heat / summer and 2nd faze of summer. Ramdhan is derived from word Ramedh related to earth after rain or monsoon. Which is the October month.
    It confirms the Arabs before Islam and during the life of prophet sw followed lunisolar system. Moon doesn’t cause the change of seasons it’s sun.
    Moon’s faze and location in solar system was used as a guide to their calendar. That means both sun and moon. Which is lunisolar. and they would calculate the days to add sink in with the system. All the months would remain season bound. Months would not move from season to season like they do in present hijri calendar.
    It’s a historical record in both Islamic and pre Islamic that prophet Muhammad SW was born in year 570 in the month of Rabi ul Awal. Which is the month of spring. As per the present hijri calendar Rabil Ul Awal Prophets birth month spring some years falls in winter, some years summer and some years fall season, how nonsensical is that.
    Besides, this present hijri calendar is not practical in any manner. You can’t do any future planing that’s why no one is using in real life or socio economic matters. That’s one reason Muslim world has not developed the aptitude of planning in real time. We can plan the days of Ramdhan , Haj or Eid.
    During prophets sw time Ramdhan was observed in the middle of fall / autumn season. Haj in the winter. As Allah says in Quran, ‘ I have made fasting easy for you, not harsh on you. In October days and nights are equal throughout the planet. Weather is pleasant not harsh even in a desert. Haj in winter is easier and comfortable for all despite of age / health conditions or climatic conditions a person comes from.
    Considering all the above facts and reasons I certainly believe the present hijri calendar is not correct and original calendar our beloved Prophet sw would not have approved or recommended us to follow this calendar if it was developed in his life time, as it lacks some basic logical and intellectual reasoning.

    • @szymonfandrejewski7984
      @szymonfandrejewski7984 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Bro. He means that anything that is secular is essentially idea-less. Bcs in the end the whole concept of secular state/law is based on a decisions taken by certain group of people. Those decisions are only valid as long as they are commonly accepted and that means they can be changed any time. There is no real ethics without God bcs ultimatelly any ethical sistem always goes down to its axioms. And if those are just subjective/relative ideas then its like building a castle on the sand. We need Divine to establish a contradiction-less system of thought.

      When God is removed the world becomes meaningless.
      The evidence can be seen in western societies where the only role humans play is materialistic capitalistic consumption.

  • @harrisgila

    Ramadan has always been in the month of July every year. The four sacred months of ISLAM are July, August, September & October.
    If you obey the majority of people on earth, they will divert you from the path of God. They follow only conjecture; they only guess. (6:116)
    Proclaim: "The bad and the good are not the same, even if the abundance of the bad may impress you. You shall reverence God, (even if you are in the minority) O you who possess intelligence, that you may succeed." (5:100)
    Altering the Sacred Months is a sign of excessive disbelief; it augments the straying of those who have disbelieved. They alternate the Sacred Months and the regular months, while preserving the number of months consecrated by God. They thus violate what God has consecrated. Their evil works are adorned in their eyes. God does not guide the disbelieving people (9:37)
    Peace from Elias.
