In March 2022 I set myself the challenge of camping 7 nights away with primitive Maori tools, two GoPro, 8 batteries, 1 X life jacket, and what I was wearing. I created 2 videos from this which you may have seen. Whilst I have endeavored to build the hut using just stone tools some of the wood I have collected off the beach has been previously cut from other people who have abandoned it there so I am unable to claim the hut is 100% made by primitive means. hey student here, decided to start prepare for an important exam from third week of July 2023 but wasted it, from 17-07-23 to 23-07-23 did nothing, today is Monday, 24-07-23 / 12:37 pm yet still not started but while watching your video the thought hit me like what you achieve in these 7 days is amazing and my work is not even 10 % of what you did i had to just use my brain while sitting comfortably. really ashamed of myself but i'll start from today for sure, getting last chance in life.
This man is absolutely amazing, he built an entire lodge for himself just 7 days, i would love to see him on an australian survival TV show like shipwrecked etc.
Dear sir. You’re a fresh breeze through TH-cam for me. A lot of so called experts out here and every video makes it look easy to survive, as long as you know what you’re doing. You clearly showed that even with all your experience, catching a fish and making fire was far from easy. Makes me even more determined to take my skill-set to the next level…and to keep learning. Thank ypu sir! I’m looking forward to keep on learning from people like you. 👍💪
I just stumbled across your videos yesterday. I have to say, I'm hooked! It's so interesting to watch the knowledge you have play out in real life scenarios. I truly hope you make more of these 7+ day solos! I enjoy them immensely! I appreciate the amount of work you put into filming your excursions and look forward to watching more adventures!
Really nice to see the skills of the Ancestors used. Reminded me of family members when I was a child who could go bush empty handed and thrive. Good to see why Maori held harakeke in such esteem. I used a bone like that to catch Tuna, Eels as a kid or just the fibres of the plant to catch them with an old Koro guiding me. Thanks Clay, you brought back a lot of childhood memories of our ways.
I had custody of a greenstone adze when i was about 9 yrs old in Golden Bay, Gave it to Mrs Dorothy Heta of Pakawau for safekeeping as we were immigrating to OZ..
