This is Star Citizen 3.22 gameplay talking about the updates coming to Star Citizen 3.23
The C2 is an excellent ERT bounty ship. Remove the gimbles and put size 5 ballistic repeaters on it (AD5B). or if you are worried about running out of ammo, put size 5 laser cannons on it. The cannons are a little slower on time to kill, but is still a solid option. I generally prefer to do bounties in the asteroid fields where it is much easier to soft death ships. Also, if you come across an 890 jump and its loaded with good cargo, you need to eva into the ship and move all the cargo off the grid, then get back out and blow up the ship and you wont lose the valuable cargo.

yes, this. I do all my ERTs on my C2 with AD5Bs and only go through about 50% of my ammo per contract (unless there's a redeemer, they take a bit more). As for getting loot out of carracks, I found out that if you go in and double click the cargo boxes to take them off grid, they'll all be ejected from the ship when you blow it up and you won't lose any.
I use S5 gats on my C2 for this
As a Corsair user, I’m jealous of the Star Lifter headlights. The Corsair headlights are more for ambiance, the rear floodlights aren’t powerful enough for photons to reach the cargo deck. The brightest lights on the ship are the landing lights underneath!
btw if you take the items off the cargo grid and blow up the carrack the cargo is still available to grab
And for those having trouble getting them off grid... double tap the tractor beam on a box and it detaches in place.
Grab them in traversal mode and they shouldn’t re-snap to grid
Ollie, to loot a Carrack go inside and use ur tractor beam and double tap the boxes on the bottom of each stack , that will loosen the entire stack from the cargo grid. When you blow up the ship you won't lose any of the boxes that were freed.
Also, I like to carry a Hover Quad or similar small vehicle with me in the C2 so that I can use the vehicle's hud to find errant cargo boxes when I'm outside since they don't show up on the helmet.
you can solo ERTs with the C2, change the guns to AD5B Gatlings.
dont worry about ammo, you have 2600 bullets, enough for 3 ERTs = 12 large targets
to get the cargo out of the carrack, detach it from the grid by double clicking it with your tractor tool, once its all detached, blow it up and it will all fall out of it and you wont loose a single box.
reclaimers are the worst to get, cause if they land on their back, you have no chance of getting the cargo.

Double click the Cargo in the Carack to get it unsnapped to grid. Then when you blow it up you will not lose it.
Every time I watch a video your excitement level is the same. This channel is the reason I’m going to spend 4K on a computer for this game 😂. Keep it up buddy.
Scanning the ship would save you the hassle of getting out and physically checking.
As others have said, you take the cargo off of the grid first (just tap the bottom box, it will take the entire stack off the grid), then pop the carrack. It's easier in space; Hurston is better than Crusader because Crusader only has one space location (Yela), while Hurston can have four space locations (weapons testing sites at all four moons).
The cargo for the 600i is on the walls, not the elevator door.
Yeah the ships de-spawn after some time unless someone is in the area. The looting table has been buffed with plenty of scrap and low value cargo to throw away…😁 If you want to do vhrt and ert bounties, you need to install 2 ad5b’s. the size 4 cannons will take too long to finish the mission.
Fun fact, you can use a Reclaimer to fracture and suck up on the Carrack, the cargo will stay behind

i find that getting to close to the ships makes it really easy to "bump" them with the boarding bridge and thusly damaging them and blowing them up. so i prefer the "small space walk" and stay like 30m minimum away
Before it got heavily nerfed i hunted down a c2 of a bounty hunt mission, filled with weevil eggs and sold them at brio for around +20 Million auec with a Connie Taurus, and another time i filled up even more but game got bugged horribly and even after trying all kind of methods to bypass those bugs and waste like 2 hours or more, i desisted and just claimed my ship back... Ollie you should use your tractor beam to move around ships while in space, good luck and happy hunting!
You don't have to use the C2's ramps to get in the ship. It has an elevator that you can call outside the ship and it can take you to the flight deck. It's a lot faster. (Not advised in zero-g though)
C2 is excellent for ERTs too. Personally i equipped the omnisky XV laser cannons, they melt hammerheads with a full load
IMO The C2 is the best all around bounty ship. Especially with ADB5s

@DABOYDJEM1 you can disagree all you want but without an argument the statement is moot. Name a ship that has as much firepower, the same size sheilds or better, hull strength ALL while having the cargo space to actually load all of the loot you get from VHRT and ERT bounties? It's not the best at anything but no other ship is able to do everything it does at the same time. Hence, All around.
Editing to clarify, since this was a video about PVE bounties and loot, the statement regarding the C2 is strictly for PVE VHRT and ERT bounties.
Constellation Taurus is also great for the purpose, upgrade it to fully ballistic, with gatling guns, and i think it goes with 2x ADB5s not gimballed, and x2 ADB4s gimballed , and also x10 useless size 2 missiles xD
I found that ships that are full destroyed stay and the ones that are soft dead despawn.
Ideally there’d be a second person with you that follows around in a C2 or other freighter and you do the salvaging right away
Brand new player here, Played during this free fly and was able to make a million in my first day, but I still feel like such a newb. Love your videos!
Those pods should be able to drop from the Carrack.
We tried to do a "one of every ship" meet in For Science the other day and we couldn't get more than about 20 ships out at one time. The current working theory is that they have made the trash clean up more aggressive during the free fly.
Had that happen to me once.
Found a good 20mil worth of weevil eggs but only half of it would fit into my connie.
When I came back to load the rest after 20 minutes or so, it was gone. 😐

Equip your C2 properly and it's a beast. I put size 5 laser cannons on it and burn through VHRT easy.
I'm curious if you just speed run ERTs, or if you ERT and collect cargo if you can make more in an hour just doing speed runs. Either way, you can still make way more doing salvage.
I'd be willing to bet with the nerfs to cargo on NPC ships that ignoring the cargo and just taking a new bounty would likely make more money. Maybe if you only grab the absolute best cargo real quick and then move onto another bounty and only go to sell when you finally fill up it might be worth it.
EDIT: Actually, he made more than I would've thought. Haha. The cargo might be worth it, but obviously once you know what each thing is worth you skip stuff like quartz and titanium. So I'd say only skimming the cargo and moving on quick might be best.
Double tap the bottom box to all the boxes, then you explode the carrack good luck! And you shouldnt store ship with dead body inside.
AD5Bs are so nasty on the C2 and resupplying the ballistics is dirt cheap. I think I have 2400-2600 of ballistics per turret(4800-5200 total rounds) and it usually takes around 600-800 rounds per ERT for me.
If you are going to Brios I have no sympathy, you brought that on yourself!
Cargo payout really has been rubbish since the nerf, that said I still run bounties often as enjoy them. I try to farm mine out of Yela for the very reason you found out, much easier for saving and transporting the cargo.
I wouldn't say they're rubbish; personally I just started looting bounties after the nerf but I can still get 100k-200k per vhrt or ert, which is better pay than stuff like bunkers and all that

This is why I don't do ERTs for monie anymore. Too many things that can go wrong. Also, I used an Andromeda, mainly looking for drugs and quant.
You should lead them to Space before you soft death them. Shoot the main target and then lead the other 3 to space so you don't lose cargo.
What is that tractor beam and where you get it? I been playing for just 3 weeks so idk
I also like flying around in my 600i and pick up nearly worthless boxes. It is rather relaxing even though not that rewarding.
I've been seeing ships in soft death just explode after a time... like there's a fire or overheating that eventually kills it.
I've also had my ship spontaneously shut down with "low power" warnings doing bounties and never powering back up, not soft death tho, inventory still available, bitchin betty still talking about contacts and such, turrets still manable and rotate but not shoot.... but the ship was unrecoverable. I tried removing the power plant and putting it back (someone suggested it) and that didn't help.
It is a taste of what's to come with the damage model changes and engineering being a thing.

That's why pirating a Carrack, is only for sport, as removing anything out of that tight cargo hold, is like requesting money back from the taxman! Both pointless and time wasting endeavours!

I'd love to be playing SC right now but since the last update, the game keeps crashing my GPU when I start flying and even sometimes on foot 😭😭😭 I've read up that the game has been causing issues with higher end AMD cards...

Is it required to store your ship in order to sell the cargo? If you land your ship and keep it in the hangar, will you be able to sell the cargo?
You dont need to store your ship, as long as its landed in a hangar, you can sell it.
If you have cargo, dont store your ship, it could despawn.

You don't even need to be in a hangar. At New Babbage, you can land outside on the ice and take the Commons entrance and still sell

Yep alot needs to be done with the carrack honestly I think most ppl own one atm just for a respawn point. I did melt mine just cos I get one for free with my galaxy at least once work is done I can get it back.

I've never played star citizen but watching these videos, I'm just so glad the actual universe wasn't built by CIG... This game isn't even in alpha by any industry standards whatsoever...
By industry standards you wouldn't be seeing any gameplay whatsoever. Alpha dev is meant to be seen in-house because the game is still in active development and things break whenever stuff is added. What most ppl call alpha/early access is just a marketing term and is usually when the game is in BETA. ie feature complete and going into optimization and bug fixes.
This game needs robots that can do the transhipments of cargo for you. The Jenga thing is annoying

I think Starfarer fuel tanks are valuable.
If they dont fix the cargo bays on the carrack before the update, the carrack will become the biggest pointless ship in the game 😢

this game was the most amazing thing i had ever experienced. I got pirated two days in a row lost 90% of my aUEC and now i don't think i'm gonna play till the new patch cause this fkin sucks. Pirates gonna kill this game before it even launches. cig really neds to elimate piracy till there is:
A. Proper counter play. We have shields you're telling me we dont have a counter interdiction unit? maybe have to trade it for a shield generator or somthing...?
B. Proper consequences for pirates. The current prison system is a joke.
like im serious. my roommate isnt even a space fan and he was REALLY interested in this game, till he saw first hand what happened to me. 100% lost interest.

This video was painful to watch. I kept wanting to give tips to avoid issues with cargo stacking, or with landing the c2, or with how to get things off the carrack.

How can you be one of the biggest creators and know so little about the game…this title is a slap in the face to people who want to see actually balance to economy and progression in this game. 160k for hours of work and big work arounds…stop being such a fan boy and actually provide some criticism to make the game better. SC really does stand for scam when content creators hype such boring gameplay
That's your opinion...it's wrong but you're entitled to be wrong. You don't have to know every mechanic of a game to be a creator, its about entertainment and intrigue. The videos are informative and enjoyable. Not every creator video needs to be essentially a dev vlog with intricate and discussion on the economics of a novel game

I always come back to check the dumpster fire of SC once or twice a year. The only positive about this disaster is its graphics. But next gen consoles will be out before this releases. Game engine is gonna get old and dated.
